I liked this place. Perla is a retired lady who offers her extra rooms in her beautiful old wooden house. Quite cozy, but of course very family-like, and the contrary of a party hostel. Perla is helpful and speaks english quite well. We even got a (free) upgrade of our room! The location is okay, it is quiet, comfortable beds,...

We stayed two times at Casa Perla in our journey through the south of Chile. Both times it was a joy staying here, not because of slick designer interiors and all that jazz, but because it is really a home. Perla makes the loveliest marmalade that you can serve yourself at breakfast and if your traveling with a tent, you...

I spent 2 nights in Casa Perla, and it was a very good experience, Perla, the owner is soooo kind and helpful, she knows evertything about the area, she does speak english and i had homemade jelly for breakfast. The place is very simply, but with everything that a traveller may need, wi fi, hot water, comfortable and clean bedrooms...

My stay at this hostel was pretty average. I wouldn't say that anyone went out of their way to make me feel welcome or at home, but the house was clean and the beds were comfy. There isn't really much atmosphere to the place as the only common area is a small living room area within the home. It didn't...

Greetings To All, Just a quick note to let all travellers passing through Puerto Montt to know that a great place to hang your hat for a night or two, (or more), is Casa Perla, run by it's eponymous owner. I only had one night there, however, Perla was a wonderful host who went above and beyond to help me...

Cosy place with comfortable beds and good facilities. Warm and homely, and with a lovely garden and apple tree. Definitely worth checking out. Perla also offers the ability to camp in her garden for a reduced price. Located a 10 minute walk from the bus station, and close to the city centre and supermarkets

I stayed with Perla for 4 days and my experience was awesome. I stayed in another place in Puerto Montt before and am really glad I switched to that one. The atmosphere in the small, cosy house is amazing, nice kitchen where everyone comes together, nice living room where you easily find a chat with other travellers. The beds are...

This gorgeous, cosy but small rather 19th century-style hostel is located at the end of a fairly short but steep walk from the bus and ferry terminals. The walls are wooden, adorned with a collection of hats and other antique objects. Overall, I'm not too sure if you should stay at Puerto Montt instead of Puerto Varas, but if you...

Perhaps we caught Perla on a bad day but we didn't feel welcome, in fact felt like a hassle. That feeling extended to the kitchen too when we made our dinner. Breakfast is the average you get in Chile at hostels and guesthouses. Location is great for the ferry terminal although I'd stay in Puerto Varas, there's really no need...

Perla runs a very friendly place to stay, and has a garage to lock my bike in. She is fluent in English and very helpful. The taxi fare from the bus station is CHP2,100 it's about a 10 minute walk. Breakfast is good. I enjoyed my stay here.
