I got a really great price for this budget hotel for my 7N stay which was situated in a very good location. The MRT/bus stands are just across the road and walking distance to Chinatown, Boat/Clarke Quays, Fort Canning and Kampong Glam.

No doubt the room is small but if you are like my son & I who spend most of the time experiencing Singapore and just needing a comfortable bed to sleep in, this is perfect for budget conscious travellers. There is even a safe in the room, about 6 International sockets for charging your devices, a fridge (albeit old) and tea/coffee making facilities. Infact, instead of the normal Nescafe satchets you get Kopi-O and 3 In 1 satchets! I also love the scented shampoo and bath gel.

The only issue we had one night was music blaring way past 1am. However, when I informed the Reception the next day, they looked into it and we never had that problem again.

Willie, the Front Office Manager and the 2 other ladies were really friendly and helpful. A real credit to the hotel. We would not hesitate to stay in this hotel again in future. Oh and the wifi was excellent!

Husband and I stayed here for a 5 day stay before we boarded our cruise ship .

Hotel is central location of Clarke quay . nice staff that work there and next to a 7evelen and right opposite Clarke quay MRT.

Hotel was pretty basic but had all we needed
We got a standard queen room, it is very small . Bathroom was small but water was hot.

Tv worked well only had a couple of Channels but had hbo movie Channel which we liked.

The pros:

Central location
Tidy rooms
Nice staffs
Room clean

Cons:

Small rooms
Hard mattress

We stayed at Jayleen Clarke Quay Hotel for 3 nights, end of March 2017 and found it a nice, clean little hotel.
Very conveniently located across the road from the Clarke Quay MRT station.
Buses also (via a footbridge at the front door of hotel).
Our room ( a standard Queen) was quite small, but that didn't matter to us as we were not there during the day and only really required a good, comfortable clean bed and a shower at night, which this hotel provided. Toiletries and hairdryer are provided (but may want to bring your favourite toothbrush - the ones provided were a bit small and soft!) Just a minor thing! Tea & Coffee facilities are in the room. The Room was clean.
Has a small fridge and safe for locking things away. An Iron is available from front desk.
Breakfast was included in the reasonable rates and was quite satisfactory, with a good choice on a breakfast buffet which changed slightly each day. The breakfast is served from 7.30am just around the corner at their sister hotel Jayleen 1918 in Carpenter Street, but that was not any hassle....a very short walk of maybe 2 minutes. The reception service was very good and professional. We dealt mainly with Steven Bruce LEE and he could not do enough to help you. Gave us excellent advice and directions how to get to out of the way places. He was terrific. There are several good eateries just doors away if you need them. Boat Quay and Clarke Quay are both a very short walk away for their eateries, bars and restaurants. Central Shopping Mall is across the road. Chinatown main is just couple of bus stops down or 1 MRT stop away...fares are VERY cheap. Get an EZLink card at train stations for convenience ..just tap on and off all public transport. We would definitely stay again. and Thankyou Steven Lee for all your help.

As others have said, the rooms are very small, but for people who travel with carry-on bags, this hotel has some nice advantages. Most importantly, it was quite clean and very quiet all day and night. The walls in our room were solid concrete.

The staff was mature and happy to answer questions. The breakfast was across the street and offered some good hot options such as a noodle dish, tomatoes, eggs, and fried rice.

One final good part was that the room had several convenient outlets to charge phones and other electronics.

In summary, it's a budget hotel that does many things right and only a block from the river walk and across the street from Clarke Quay subway station.

Rooms are really tiny and washrooms are created by using glass separators. Moreover, there are no windows in certain rooms. There is a lot of activity that goes on late at night in the corridor, not sure whether these are guests or staff but they make sure you don't get peaceful sleep at night. The AC stopped working on one of the nights and the experience was terrible.

Location is good, that's all.
The hotel is very dirty and messy, full of things (boxes, shoese, laundry and so on) in the corridore and stair case. The room is dark and furnitures are old. The staircase which supposed to be the emergency exit is full of different things. Aircon is old and lack of maintenance, made a lot of noice. No separation between toilet and shower room, so the toilet canbe wet. The cups and glasses are washed on spot, so the lip mark stayed on the cups, So watch out when you have to use. The water provided is in a jar, which no idea where it comes from and how long it has been there. Suggest you buy your own water. The safety box is not fixed in the room, easily to be removed, did not feel really safe. The light was flickering and eventually died out. There was an unpleasant smell in the corridore and in the room.

Traveling with a family of four with college kids.

Tried to stay one night after a Thailand/Malaysia cruise.

NOTE: This is not a 3 star hotel, however is one of the few hotels in Singapore to offer rooms to accommodate 4 people.

PROS: Hotel is in the Clarke Quay business district next to the Clarke Quay Metro station and four blocks to the Raffles Place Metro station. Easy access to the airport and cruise terminal via metro.

CONS: Moved our reservation to sister Hotel Jayleen 1918 one block away. See my previous review of Hotel Jayleen 1918.

Overall, a cheap place to camp for a quick stop/layover in Singapore to accommodate 4 people in one room, however, still not worth the price and I would not stay here again.

For two and 1/2 months, this hotel proved to be a safe, cozy, place to reside during COVID19. The front Desk including Sarah and Michelle were terrific. They helped me find everything I needed in terms of supplies and inspired me to see some very special Singapore places when the city started to open up. The refrigerator in the room was great, the cleanliness, the clothes line, the warmth of all the staff all added up to a great stay! I loved Singapore and all it has to offer. This wonderful iittle hotel made it possible for me to stay for as long as I did and explore Singapore's beauty.

I didn't know rooms could be this small. The bed was literally next to the shower which was filled with mould. As there are no windows we could smell the mould all night. There were dirty tissues under the bed, hairballs in the shower, stains on the bedding and mould in the fridge to name a few things. There was hammering going on but not sure what they were doing. Only positive is the staff were lovely

Room was extremely small. TV did not work. No shower curtain in bathroom so the whole bathroom got wet when ever anyone took shower. Construction going on next door so very loud drilling and hammering noise starting in the morning. Staff was friendly. Good location close to Metro station and a mall.

Taxi fare is about 25-30 SGD. I found there WiFi speed to be very good and very reliable so I could download files, upload photos, etc. Enjoy your stay there -- so much good food in the area!

They will hold your bags for you. When we arrived, I had booked for e night before, so we could get into our room right away (Yes, same as an early check-in fee, but I don't know how much that would be)
