The location of hotel mono is really good, just 5 mins walk away from Chinatown station. Chinatown point(a shopping mall) is nearby, and you have got many choices of restaurants around the hotel. And the room is comfy. The staffs are friendly. And we slept over because their bed was really comfy with the AC on on the right degrees....

Pros: I love the monochrome. We could check-in early at 1PM as soon as the room is available. The staff is friendly and pretty instructive. It's about 2 minutes walk to Chinatown MRT to go basically anywhere. Also close to Pagoda street with all the errand shopping and souvenirs and good food to enjoy. Cons: Not soundproof. I can hear...

Lovely boutique hotel on the edge of the wonderful Chinatown and so convenient for the metro which is just around the corner. Loved our cosy room with its black and white theme. Comfy bed, wonderful shower, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer - everything we needed. Our second day was complicated as we had booked afternoon tea at Raffles...

I have been to this hotel many times despite the fact that it was recently opened last year and the impression is consistent - VERY POSITIVE. I booked directly with the hotel and I am very happy I did that. When I email reservation for some inquiry, the reply was very prompt and efficient by Cassandra who is easily the...

Excellent photography by the Hotel Photographer but rooms are quite small and not very soundproof. This was the King Studio with sofa bed which looked spacious but ended up not having space for baby cot. Also check your bill. Was charged about 200 sgd extra over booking.com voucher rate, fortunately I cross checked voucher and pointed out issue and transaction...

Easy check in, simple style, close to Chinatown MRT and embedded in Chinatown this little hotel is a delightful place to stay if you like the energy and bustle of this area. It has been very recently renovated and is clean modern style with a black and white theme. Good air conditioning and a good bed complete the picture. No...

Room was small but big enough for one or two nights, small window with view to rear area. Very clean, TV & Internet were fine, free water in the fridge. Nice modern shower. Staff very helpful and friendly, very close to lots of great places to eat, and cheap by Singapore standards.

I see alot of negative comment about him, but he's doing a good job! Alot of gret food nearby!!!! Near chinatown mrt station! The only negative is the size of...

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
