This small hotel is centrally located and is close to the Lau Pa Sat food court and Marina Bay is also about a 15-minute walk away. For travel to and from the airport, Telok Ayer MRT station is right next to the hotel entrance, making it very convenient and affordable.
The room was clean and big enough. In the fridge there were 4 soda drinks available daily for free, which I have never experienced before. The only small negative is that no breakfast buffet is offered. Instead, you can choose from two restaurants with breakfast options just around the corner, where you can order à la carte.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The check-in was efficient and I received a cup of tea as well as a handwritten card (nice gesture). On the day of departure I was offered to store the luggage and shower in the late afternoon (at another hotel around the corner), which I took advantage of both and worked out great.
In short: The value for money is absolutely unbeatable for Singapore for this central location and I will definitely book it again for any future Singapore visit!

This hotel was one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The incredibly friendly and attentive staff were a stand out - they remembered every little thing and were SO unbelievably kind and welcoming (to the extent where they remembered it was my birthday week and presented me with a surprise cake upon check in!). The rooms are fairly small but beautifully decorated, come with great amenities and are relatively quiet, and the location was superb for metro access, restaurants and our new favourite Lau Pa Sat. Breakfast is a choice of two restaurants next door and was also lovely - we’d recommend the smashed avocado toast at Genius Central. Lastly, the hotel itself is gorgeous - it sits within a heritage museum and is such a unique and special building. Absolutely great place and a good value for Singapore. Wonderful location near Chinatown and the CBD and across the street from an MRT station. Room was small but I had picked the “cosy” room as I was traveling solo, larger rooms are available. It was perfect for me. Strong WiFi which was much appreciated as I am a photographer and needed bandwidth for editing. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Gorgeous rain-type shower. Nespresso. I’m a light sleeper and had been concerned because the hotel is in a nightlife location but there was no sound at all. Breakfast was included in the rate and could be had at either of two nearby restaurants. I ate all of mine at the delicious vegan cafe Genius Central. The only thing that could have been improved was the lighting -the window looked out over a courtyard and didn’t get much sun so the room was quite dark, but I was out and about all day every day so it didn’t bother me. Most of the streets in the neighborhood are covered with glass roofs to protect from rain. There are also giant fans and air conditioning, so walking around is pleasant if you’re not acclimated to the heat.

I stayed here for 5 nights for work and my experience was seamless starting at check-in. The staff ensured I was comfortable during my entire stay, even when there was a minor power disruption for a few hours on my first night.
The room is cozy and complete with complimentary amenities (Nespresso machine with capsules, well-stocked minibar, tea bags, and toiletries) that were replenished regularly by housekeeping. The concierge was accommodating from the get-go, providing me with a map of Singapore and tips on accessing public transportation. Their breakfast options were sufficient, and I particularly loved dining at Genius Central for most of my stay.
The location is also central to public transportation in Singapore's business and Chinatown district. I could walk out and find multiple dining options or just cross the street to the Telok Ayer train station to travel further out of Singapore.
The room is well-kept and cleaned daily, and the facilities, such as hot/cold shower, mini-fridge, Bluetooth speaker, TV, and WiFi work perfectly. I especially loved the enthusiasm and warmth of the hotel staff while I stayed here. Shoutout to Letitia, Adham, and Nadyah for providing everything I needed from check-in to check-out. Their excellent service and hospitality were the most memorable parts of my stay.

We chose the Amoy due to its authenticity, with its old world charm! The staff are friendly, efficient and informative. The hotel is very close to a metro station making it brilliant for getting about. A 10 minute walk took us to the harkers market where you can choose from lots of street foods at great prices Stayed in room 205, it was modern and clean, with hairdryer and in room safe, tea and coffee making facilities and complimentary crisps and some soft drinks. The room was on the small size mainly because of all the luggage we had with us, once organised this wasn't a problem, it did have a couple of steps between the bathroom and bedroom so if you have any mobility issues then this needs to be noted and an alternative room requested. The Amoy does not have a bar or restaurant. We had our breakfast at Genius, it's at the back of the hotel, staff show you where it is. We had the gluten free option, hash browns, it was really tasty. There are several bars near the hotel, saying that, we didn't have any issues with noise from the streets. Massive bed! I would recommend

My wife and I found the service extremely good. The welcome by the Front Office Manager Letitia was excellent and her manner make us feel very comfortable. All the staff were helpful. I was even offered a mobile phone to make a call.
I particularly like the style of the room which fits the history of Amoy with wooden floor (I am not a fan of carpets). The bowl shape wash basin (which looks like a large chinese bowel) was eye-catching. My wife found the air-con sightly noisy.
The location of the hotel was ideal to taste the delights of hawker food in Lau Pa Sat.
I like the uniqueness of this hotel and will be willing to stay here again on my yearly trip from London to Sydney.

After staying at Amoy's sister hotel The Clan Singapore for the first segment of our Singapore/Malaysia trip, I was happy to have the opportunity to check out Amoy as well for the last segment of our trip. Amoy is a beautifully and thoughtfully designed boutique hotel. The heritage design aspect was felt throughout from the entrance, lobby, to the room itself. My room was perfect for a single person, just enough space without feeling cramped, sufficient space to move around.
After reading reviews prior to the trip, I was a little worried for stairs at the hotel. There is an elevator! The elevator gets you to the floor of your room. Within the same floor, there were some elevation changes involving ~3 steps each (twice for me to get to my room), so it wasn't bad. Within the room itself, there were also 3 steps between the sink area and the rest of the room. All were easy enough to navigate.
My hotel rate came with breakfast. Breakfast is served at a couple of restaurants within steps of the hotel - something that's new to me (breakfast included, but outside the hotel), and I found that I enjoyed walking to breakfast. The two breakfast restaurants during my stay were Henri (western fare, e.g. eggs, sausages, etc.) and Genius Central (vegan); Genius Central appeared to be closed the two days I was there, so I dined at Henri both days; you pick a breakfast entree and a drink, you're also served fresh fruits.
Amenities: It was great to have Nespresso and tea in the room, free chips, simple free drinks in the mini fridge, and filtered water in the room. While there was shampoo and body wash, I missed having hair conditioner; I also wished they had face and hand towels in the room. There was a bath towel; when I called for the face and hand towels, I was offered the option to have an additional bath towel.
I'd be remiss not to mention hospitality of staff members. Everyone I encountered were professional, nice, and made me feel welcomed. I especially appreciated the staff member who helped me with my luggage, accompanied me up to my room, and showed me amenities in the room.
Overall, I recommend Amoy! Just bring your own hair conditioner (hopefully they will offer it in the future?) and face towel if you're used to having them.

Everything was going well for my hotel stay from check in when the staff served us cold brewed black tea as the welcome drink and was also polite and friendly even though we checked in at 12 midnight to check out when the staff would ask us about our stay and also made sure everything was okay. The room is clean and spacious and we particularly love the room layout which separates the bathroom from the resting area using stairs making the room seem bigger and also allowing us to not be disturbed by the bathroom noise. The room also has everything within reach which we need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Most importantly, we love it that the hotel has preserved the traditional shophouse feel making it one of the more special hotels we have stayed in so far.

Small but lovingly furnished hotel in a former temple. This makes the hotel a bit labyrinthine, but also very worth seeing. My room was equipped with everything your heart desires, a large spacious shower, coffee machine and free soft drinks in the minibar. It faced the inner courtyard and was nice and quiet at night, thanks to a good roller blind it could also be completely darkened. For breakfast you can choose between two neighboring local ones, both of which offer delicious and varied breakfast options. Where this hotel stands out, however, is the service. I have never received such a warm welcome in a hotel as at the Amoy! The team is super committed and really did everything to make my stay there as pleasant as possible. If only because of the great Amoy team, I would book there again at any time.

This is a great question! They provide breakfast at one of two restaurants right outside the hotel. It’s included and you can order whatever you want, including coffees and teas. It was wonderful! Hope this helps, safe travels!
The best way to get to the hotel is on the train straight from Changi Airport. Get off on the Telok Ayer St. stop and the hotel is directly across the street. The train will cost you approximately $3-5 USD.
