Novotel Singapore on Kitchener has received mixed reviews, with guests commending its prime location near shopping and the MRT, as well as its spacious rooms. The hotel's overall cleanliness earns positive remarks, although its atmosphere is often described as lacking warmth and character. While the diverse dining options are a plus, some guests feel the value is compromised by unexpected fees. Service quality appears inconsistent, with reports of both friendly assistance and less satisfactory encounters.

Staff was very helpful and welcoming, with full services during my quarantine stay including room and laundry services. They also provided us a whatsapp number to contact whenever we need anything. Made quarantining much easier to past. The rooms are also very new and clean.

Park Royal on Kitchener is just on the edge of Little India. As such, despite being an ostensibly cosmopolitan hotel, effectively caters for an Indian or Chinese clientele. The rooms are clean and well up to cosmopolitan standards but many of the staff have problems in conversing in English which can make for difficulties.

I booked breakfast for four on my first day there (we were meeting relatives). It was appalling! Apart from eggs and some chicken sausage the items available at the buffet breakfast reflected oriental tastes more. Bacon - either real or turkey - was noticeably absent, but if you were into sambas or dim sum for brekky you might be OK. On one condition! If there was anything left! They do warn you that the peak is from 0900 and we did meet our guests at this time. Nonetheless replenishment was slow to non existent. Two people in our party had nothing at all; I had 2 fried eggs, a slice of a polony type meat and some cheeses; the other guest something similar. At over Sing $100 for the 4 of us, one left feeling very ripped off!

Nonetheless the hotel is in a very good position with many ethnic restaurants close by and, for breakfast, a MacDonalds across the road in the City Mall! The excellent MRT system is also accessed from the City Mall.

Overall, like the curate’s egg - good in parts.

And they could use some seats in the reception area!

Dear Park Royal Staff

I’d like to thank you for the wonderful care you have all shown me these past 15 days. I feel fortunate to have spent my quarantine period here. When the bus first pulled up outside the hotel on 8th October, through my jet lag I was groggily aware I was near Little India but was not familiar with your hotel.

Thank you for your many kindnesses to me; from dropping clean room linen and collecting the old, whisking away my bin bags and spiriting my husbands daily food offerings up to me, alongside cheerfully receiving my calls. For ringing my bell and disappearing in a puff of pixie dust, to standing back with smiling eyes behind your masks and gloves, I wholeheartedly thank you. I view my quarantine time with you as a ‘Staycation’ rather than an inconvenience.

With kind regards and appreciation

Aloise Price

This was my second visit to Singapore and this Hotel, my travel agent suggested me to check other hotels but i prefered to stay in the same hotel in which i stayed 5 years back as at that time it was the best experience i had about this hotel. and the same i was expecting for my family we were total 6 people and 1 child.
we had 3 delux room booked which the hotel staff firstly said that we have just 2 room in your name we dont have the confirmation for the 3rd room, then for that i have to call back to my Travel Agent in India and within 2 mins the hotel staff said oh I am sorry i did not notice you have 3 rooms, then the new thing came up which was 2 room will be on 8th floor and 1 room will be on 12th floor and when i insited to take all the rooms on the same floor then 2 room will be double bed and 1 room will be twin bed, can you imagine a couple speeling on different bed.i was in the hotel for 5 days and hotel staff did not bother to change the room in 5 days time.
We have checked in the hotel at 2 pm on 8th Feb 2020 and after all the agruments we got the room only at 2.45 pm where as my cab driver was suppose to pick me up at 3 pm.
Everyday we used to go for Breafast and everyday the chef used to prepare the same breakfast such as Idli, Uttapam, it's a 4 star hotel atleast they can prepare different variety of food. the roti was like a papad, same juice everyday no changes guys trust me Little India has vriety of restuant which work 24x7 if you are booking this hotel for your stay dont opt for breakfast better go to restuant and have your breakfast.
Check in Time is approx 45 mins and check out is also not that easy it takes approx 20 mins
For me and my family it was very disappointing experenice

We visit singapore and stay in Parkroyal. Food is good but very few. The owner should think of more Indian food for breakfast . The staff are good. My family and child love the swimming pool. The people working in the restaurant beside the swimming pool are always smiling and friendly. The lady that sounds from Pilipine is nice she show my child how to use the shower shampoo

After my covid test at the Changi Airport, I asked which hotel I would be put in (mandatory hotel quarantine) as my friends n relatives stayed at pretty well known 5 stars hotels.

I was disappointed but my disappointment turned to a blessing in disguise as the room was renovated, spacious with laminated flooring rather than carpet. My preference for laminated flooring is because it is more hygienic. Overall, looks fine and not crappy.

Contacting the front office was a breeze via WhatsApp. When I requested for local food as I was tired of sausages, omelette for breakfast, the kitchen acceded to my request too. I had nice chapati, prata, dim sum, good nasi lemak….

Upon check out, the concierge and ‘bell man’ were very helpful and friendly.
l
The hotel is near to amenities so personally I think one can consider if the price is right.

This was NOT a STAYCATION, and far from a vacation but under Quarantine, hence a difficult task to give an honest opinion of the Hotel itself, for we were not permitted to step out of our room for the 2 week duration. (Only to go get swabbed n escorted back immediately after. )

One thing I can say in all honesty is that the staff bent over backwards to try make us as comfortable as possible. They were very accommodating of the frequent requests for change of menus, times and requests for clean towels, linen etc. They seemed to realise the stress I was under and were very kind n understanding. For this I want to express my appreciation and gratitude.

Food Panda kept our stomach’s happy and our days fulfilled with the daily “What’s for dinner?” The hot topic of each day, giving us something to look forward to, each dreary boring captive day!!!

The first “greeter” at the entrance was the same smiling person who waved us “Goodbye!” when the Grab Taxi whisked us to freedom aka home.

Thank you Park Royal!

I spent 10 days here! It was a really nice room, spacious, clean with really comfortable bed!
The staff was super friendly, very helpful. They ensured that I did my self test, constantly ask if I needed anything else.
Big plus for me was that the room was NOT carpeted and they installed water filter for drinking water! Fantastic eco friendly hotel.

I did my wedding dinner at PARKROYAL @ Kitchener on 23 November 2019! My coordinator was Rainy who took over our portfolio from an ex-coordinator who left. All I can say everything went really well and smoothly with no hiccups at all! As a bride, our main concern and worry is if any issue will arise on our big day. However our worries were uncalled for as there were no such issues at all!

The food was from their famed Si Chuan Dou Hua restaurant and it was DELICIOUS. The guests especially praised the freshness of the prawns that day! Was a pity I was in a rush to and fro zipping about and couldnt enjoy the food on the day itself - luckily I was able to taste it during the food tasting session which reaffirmed my beliefs that people should go to a wedding dinner which serves good food.

Rainy as our coordinator was always responsive and on the ball. She has this very friendly and approachable personality and any questions we have is attended to her pronto. Certain times I text her late at night (1am) and she will reply almost immediately!!

Our banquet manager and staff were all also very nice (forgot the name oops!) and really helped us so much and eased our worries throughout the dinner. They were so kind and accommodating as well.

We got the bridal suite (which was newly renovated) and our guests also stayed in a room (they newly renovated their rooms!!) which was really comfortable and you know being newly renovated was all clean and neat and tidy!! Despite the old looking facade, their upgraded interior was really cozy and warm! (I think they are renovating their facade as well).

Really I have nothing but fabulous impressions and review about my wedding dinner experience because everything went so smoothly, the people were so kind, the food was delicious and it made for an extremely wonderful night. :)

I had booked this hotel and while booking I requested them specifically that we have got a baby with us and they must give the room arrival time at 7 am to 8am. Nobody bothered to communicate and I expected that they would be nice to give me room if available.
But today when I arrived the reception first inform that a room is available and they can give it to me for $176 Without any breakfast as a early check in fee... what a rip off.

I requested the receptionist that I would like to have a word with the Manager then she informed that the manager is busy and then she was informing me that the room is not available. Which is clearly a lie.

I am highly disappointed at this behaviour. How could they treat like this?!!

I believe the rooms provided are similar to rooms which we took as a non club Mahindra member. The breakfast prices are not known to me but I believe club Mahindra guests are entitled for BF and we found BF matching to Indian requirements and taste.
