This hotel is in a perfect position, especially with Chinese New Year approaching. The markets are amazing and so colourful. The prices are good too. The MRT is located just behind the hotel so it is very central. There is also tourist information just down the lane and behind the hotel. If you have heavy bags, be warned that there...

This is a small, nice hotel located directly in Chinatown. If you want a good bed and a clean room you can go ahead and book this now — it's going to be ok. Service is a warm and personal. Note that the rooms are small (there is no space even for a desk and a chair) and that there is...

I am very glad that I took no notice of the previous reviews. I was a little apprehensive but for no reason. Room 206 was perfect for a small budget hotel room. Take notice that there is no elevator. Don't expect spacious but I am not here to stay all day in the room. That said, the room is spotless,...

I forgot to open the safe deposit box. And they said that they found the SDB already open. They didn't want to make a serious effort to find who was in charge that day. And I lost all of the things inside.

The Inn... this place could be so much better. With a solid clean, paint, AIRCON CLEAN and well.. a lot more love and attention. The location is fantastic! China-Town is great!!! Plenty of things to see, eat and be entertained by. BUT... The Inn was a real let-down. Here's why: I was unable to open the windows - I had...

This hotel is located near many sight-seeings, shopping area and MRT (less than 5 minutes walk). There're many many restaurants in this area. Good food and cheap. I've stayed in superior room. This room is not quite large but it is not so small also. I've requested the room on the lower floor(2nd floor) because there's no elevator and wireless...

I stayed for 2nights with mysister at double room. It was terrible, the hotel is hard to find. No elevator inside the building, and we have to drag our heavy suitcase by ourselves to the 4th floor. The room is smelly and tiny. There's a cockroach inside the cupboard. It's so disgusting. Unfriendly staffs. Will never go back again.

I stayed here for a couple of nights and I enjoyed my stay here .... The rooms are small but location wise, it is one of the best with the hotel being right in Chinatown... Most importantly I want to commend on this staff by the name of George.. He is always smiling, chats with you and more importantly he...

Location ideal for getting about on the underground. Budget hotel room only however saying that it was clean with a good standard of linnen and a decent toilet. Staff were friendly. Would I stay there again, yes, for the price theres nothing to complain about.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
