Not luxury by any stretch of the imagination but reasonably comfortable if very small room. Abundance of places to eat nearby in Chinatown from street food to mid range and places to buy take-away breakfast fodder. Most of the critical reviews appear to be from...More
We were a group of mostly elderly people. We had not realised there was no lift and really struggled to get our cases up the stairs. Rooms were very small, hardly enough space to put two suitcases on the floor. The wardrobe smelt musty. Tea-making...More
This hotel is awful as soon as you enter. There is no lift and no one to help you with your luggage . As soon as we entered our room , the smell of damp hit us . Damp is also all over the walls....More
Small room, smell of damp, bath worn, shower hose falling to bits, no lift so have to carry bags up stairs. No breakfast. However, good location close to Chinatown MET, plenty of restaurants nearby. Not value for money.
We stayed 3 nights - we cant recommend this hotel. The rooms are very old. The first room we got, the window couldn’t close, the bathroom was dirty, the bed linens had blood stains and the tapestry was falling off.

Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill.
There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
