We stayed here in 2009 and were happy to stay here again so arranged a 5 night stay from 11th March to 16th. Very disappoint as the hotel needs a lot of work. Most floors were not in use as apparently floor maintainence was taking place. The rooms decor seemed very tired, the room itself was big enough and clean enough although bathrooms were very small an needing updated. With the corona virus I must admit they were 100% on top of things, our temperatures were taken before we actually checked in there was also hand sanitiser on counter for everyone to use. Every time we went to dining room our temperature was taken again. Well done for being so good at that. We felt the meals were not brilliant breakfast had full English and continental but have had better in a lot of other hotels.we ate in the dining room twice but opted to dine out the other nights. One thing that was exceptional was the staff, they were all very welcoming and helpful. We would not stay here again sorry to say although the hotel is in an ideal position for Raffles , Gardens by the Bay ,Marina Bay, Bugis Village,Arab Street.

We had an extra long flight, so were hoping a nice sleep once we got there. After checking in - we immediately found out the rooms were average. We just got some milk from the nearby 7-11 and went to bed immediately. As we lay down, we found the mattress was OK, and wouldn't make up for the loss of sleep we had during our flight. The next morning, i was looking for a Microwave, but didn't find one in the room. We then went for breakfast. When we were seated for the breakfast we were told breakfast cost SGD $20 each despite having been told that it was SGD $13 during our hotel check in. The breakfast had a decent spread - including bread and bakery, egg station, fresh fruits, fried rice etc.

An older hotel, smaller rooms, clean & tidy. We got a good rate. Great staff & location. Bus stops outside & across the road ($2 a trip)..can download the app for routes (info at bus stop). Taxis cheap & can be arranged by hotel staff. Concierge Velu was great - got us a cheaper rate for taxis (hotel orders a lot) & “locals” price for some attractions…knowledgeable & very helpful.
Hotel a block from Bugis Junction Shopping Mall..full of restaurants & hawker food hall (for cheaper meals)..tip: packet of tissues on table reserves it..table must be cleared when finished, plates & trays returned to the appropriate station. Opposite hotel is a steak house…pricier but good sized meals.
Across from the mall is Bugis Street Market…everything open until 10pm.

Believe what other unhappy reviewers say. My company paid almost 200 usd per night for a week here, nonrefundable, otherwise I would change the hotel. Its old, extremely dirty and in a desperate need for renovation. Nobody opened the door as I was struggling with suitcases, there are stairs so i had to lift my suitcases. I am horrified of my future stay here, all carpets are covered in dirty spots. This hotel does not deserve its 4 stars. The customer rep told me I had to pay 50SGD deposit, but when I arrived it suddenly turned into 350SGD. There is mold everywhere, in the bathroom, I stayed there to watch as they clean, nope they do not clean the bathtub. As a Bonus: there was A hole in the wall, between the wall and the window that spanned two rooms, about an inch wide for the entire height if the window. I could see the light coming from another room and hear the TV. So I complained and they changed the room, they made pictures as if they saw it for the first time. There is no information about anything in the room. Anyway I would like to pick my battles and will just try to stay away from it during the daytime. I advise not to stay here.

Good efficient reception on arrival, and good friendly staff. But from then on all down hill.
The walls in the bedroom are paper thin, and the wall do not reach the windows. You could actually put your hand through to the other room.
Also the shower system could be heard from quite a distance away, and the guests here have no respect for other users. On day 2 in the room next door the shower was turned on at 3.30 in the morning, then on day in the other room couple came back at 4.00, created a lot of noise then 20 minutes later decided to have a shower
The food is buffet style both for breakfast and evening meal, and is very basic and not that appetising.
AVOID

The thing I appreciated the most is that the hotel has double walls. It obstructs the view (but there is nothing special to be seen anyway, unless you are keen to watch clothes hanging on the drying racks mounted on the wall of the opposite condo) but there is no noise from the street in the room. Ideal for light sleepers like me. My room was small and far from luxurious, but it was refurbished and clean. There was a working corner with universal socket and stable wifi. Breakfast was good with everything you would expect in this part of the world - from sunny-side-up eggs to dhalka. The staff was as nice to me as I was to them, so absolutely no complaint there. Cenral location short distance from the Bugis MRT station makes it an ideal choice for a short business trip.

It was great to finally return after 5 long years. Even though the hotel was showing signs of wear and tear other things have not changed, there was an array of food at the breakfast buffet both hot and cold, the staff were all friendly and as we were there for 3 weeks, they got to know us very well. I did read that one guest had problems with housekeeping but that was not the case for us, someone came in every day to make the bed, top up the bathroom accessories, fresh towels etc. It was good to see Velu and Marcel again and to be recognise by them after all this time was the icing on the cake and I'm sad that we did not get to see them on our last day to say goodbye but we will be back again :)

Where to begin. The hotel is run down outside of the lobby area, many floors are musty, with old furniture and very dated. When we mentioned the musty smell, they left an aerosol of some kind of room freshener! WTH? Everything in this hotel, including the cafe and the meeting rooms, screams a maximum of 2.5 stars and nothing more. Don’t be misled or fooled by the pics on the website. The only thing going for this overpriced place is its location. I’ve stayed in way better places that deserve a far better star rating than this. I just don’t understand how people can possibly give this place any higher than 2.5. We didn’t even take advantage of the breakfast (included), that’s another nasty story. It was the worst breakfast buffet I’ve ever seen. What a disappointment.

Is the Grand Pacific more grand than the Pan Pacific?
Answer from cancelled
London, England
Apparently not. Pan Pacific is a rather grand 4-star hotel near Marina Bay. Grand Pacific is a comfortable smart hotel at upper end of 3-stars in the centre of the colonial district.

There are 2 MRT stations near the hotel being Bras Basah and Bugis Junction. Hotel check in is 2pm but you may get in before this time if lucky. They can hold luggage until your room is available
