First time staying at this Robertson Quay Hotel with me and my wife. The first thing I noticed that the hotel is quite old and the reception area is quite small plus darker due to the dining area is not open bcoz of Covid situation. The only pleasant thing we experienced was the hospitality of the Receptionist in the lobby named Irene. She allowed me to check-in about 30 to 45mins earlier. As all the hotels , there will be PROS and CONS . Here are the list to get the better view if you are planning to do staycation. PROS: - Staff/Receptionist Customer Service - The room that we stayed got a nice river view. - The room were clean and neat. - Superb location near to Clarke Quay and Chinatown. And just beside the UE Sq. Mall. Bus to Orchard Road just nearby with only 3 stops to get there. - The room is cozy and with nice room temperature. CONS: - Room is small , toilet and shower were so cramped. My wife keep complaining that his elbow keep hitting the wall and toilet door. - The towel is only two and also quite thin for hotel standard. - The TV is quite old and obsolete plus only free local channels available. I counted it with only , 6 channels. - No flat iron, no sleepers and only with tiny cabinet. - No breakfast buffet due to Covid restriction. - Gym and Swimming Pool were closed so totally no ammenities. These are things that I recalled. So, my rate is 3/5 Star. If you just want to stay in the room to relax this should be okay. But I will not recommend this for family staycation.…
The room is small but okay for the price and the location near Orchard Road. The wifi signal is not strong. There is no movie channel. The bed is a little hard. Ask for the city view. On good day, you can have a good view of Singapore review and Robertson Quay. Good location for those who like to shop. Carpark is also available. Customer Service is okay.
I had a similar experience to Charlesde1, and agree with is view of them. This is the only tourism provider which has not refunded me due to Covid-19. I booked several airlines and hotels over a 3 month period, and this was the only one which refused to refund. I know it was a non refundable booking, but so were all the others, so this is not an excuse. I e-mailed them several times, but each time, they refused to refund. They are more concerned with making money for their shareholders, than they are in customer satisfaction and service.
The worst hotel i have been too so far, i was on my honeymoon and it was my first time to visit an amazing country such as Singapore. It started when we arrived at the hotel at around 12pm when we told them that we have just arrived Singapore after a 9 hours flight and if it possible to check-in a bit early, the reception mentioned if you want you can pay $75 for an early check-in otherwise it is not possible, we even asked for an upgrade they told us we made an upgrade but its a twin bed which was a silly joke, we told them we are honeymooners how are we supposed to sit in a twin bed room, then we told them thanks we dont want the upgrade since it's useless. Other than this the room was a nightmare in all means a very small room that even couldnt fit our bags, the breakfast was awful no varieties at all only toast, milk, sauces, eggs, sausage and tasteless coffee and tea. I dont even recommend this hotel its not even that cheap and not worth the money so consider another hotel with better services, accommodation and food options. Stayed in April 2019.…
One of the worst experience I have with hotel stays, Robertson Quay Hotel. Staff demanded I pay twice even though I already paid through Agoda with a confirmation voucher. Spent an hour sorting through the mess with the hotel and Agoda at check out. Breakfast promised in the voucher but hotel does not offer breakfast. Hotel room was dripping whole night with condensation on the ceiling, almost slipped twice until I placed a mat on the floor. Room’s WIFI was weak and almost always dropped. Room was Super cold, it’s thermostat does not work, floor was also cold without any slippers provided. No basic amenities like mineral water. I stayed for two nights but there was no Housekeeping on my second day! Hotel staff said they do not clean the rooms daily. The rubbish in my room piled up. The only consolation was Its good location. I will not stay in this hotel, ever again, no matter what price. …
