we stayed here for 4 days in a Horizon Club room. Check in was not a good experience. We went to the main reception area to check in. This was done by a young lady who sniffed every 15 seconds. After a lot of running back and forth, she then said in a very accusatory manner...you're in a club room....

Really bad value for money staying at the Tower Wing at this hotel at SGD300++ per night. The Tower Wing desperately needs a renovation. Everything from the elevators to the hotel room door to the bathroom screams old. Not classic chic--just old and tacky. They change the carpets in the elevators every day to say which day of the week...

there are probably swankier and newer hotels in Singapore but this is a great place. Rooms are bright and very comfortable and the service is excellent. Have stayed in other more expensive places but prefer this hotel.

We stayed for 2 nights recently. Hotel is a 5 minute walk from the high activity of Orchard Road but in a very safe and quiet area. We had a room on the 16th Floor with Club Lounge Access. Beautiful hotel. The pool is fantastic. The only downside was that it is very big and also a business hotel so lots going on and breakfast can be frantic and with lots of noise. Nice areas to talk and have a drink

I was alerted to the Shangri-La by my cousin - we were going to stay at Raffles - and was glad I took her advice. The accommodation was superb and the upgrade to the Horizon Club well worth the money. Don't let the fact it is just under three miles from downtown as it is close to the main shopping...

Chose Shangri La for our holiday destination (10 days ) and were not disappointed. Superb location and excellent staff.
