Guests appreciate the hotel's cleanliness and the tidy but modest rooms, which are deemed suitable for short stays or solo visitors. Overall Satisfactory
We were a group of 10 people staying in this hotel for 3 nights
Pro’s
The room was comfortable with adequate size ( not large or too small) . Bathroom was also comfortably size with separate shower cabin. Bed and pillows were very comfortable . there was also large window with natural light coming in.
Room cleaning – the cleaner used to come daily and clean the room satisfactorily without any need for reminder
Pool – Medium size pool which was maintained well
Staff- The staff at the reception were cooperative and helped us by booking taxis multiple times.
Location – The hotel is located above Lavender MRT station and in heart of Singapore near all the attractions
Food options – there is a food court nearby with mcdonalds, subway, sushi and multiple other options
Cons-
One thing we were really upset about is lack of hot water in the shower. Half the time cold or luke warm water used to come. This was not just in one room but in other rooms which we had booked. We complained to the reception but to no avail .The hotel has to really work on this
The buffet breakfast which hotel provided was not all worth the 15 dollars which was charged for it. There was no live station for eggs, Indian/vegetarian options were very limited and the few which were provided had no taste. Avoid at all costs.
Last day when we were checking out, as we had multiple bags we asked the reception if they could send a porter with a luggage trolley to help us with the bags. He straight out refused though there were porters ready and trolley was also available. This was quite disappointing .
the attitude of reception was condescending even when they were helpful.

Lack of Indian/vegetarian food options nearby – there are no Indian breakfast and lunch options especially vegetarian nearby and it was quite challenging for us.

we are overall happy with our stay for the price we paid, i.e. Rs 7k per night.

Dear amarmallya, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are pleased to hear that you found our rooms comfortable, enjoyed the natural light from the large windows, and appreciated the cleanliness maintained by our housekeeping team. It’s also great to know that our pool, location, and the helpfulness of our staff, particularly at the reception, contributed positively to your stay. We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced regarding the hot water in the showers. Your feedback is important to us, and we will investigate this issue thoroughly to ensure it does not happen again. Additionally, we are sorry to hear that our buffet breakfast did not meet your expectations. We strive to offer a variety of dishes to cater to all our guests' needs, and we will take your comments into consideration as we look to improve our offerings, especially concerning vegetarian options. Regarding the porter service on the day of your departure, we apologize for the experience you had. This does not reflect the standard of service we aim to provide, and we will address this with our team to ensure better service in the future. We understand the lack of nearby Indian/vegetarian food options may have been challenging, and we are exploring ways to enhance our guests' dining experience both within and around our hotel. Thank you again for your valuable feedback. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back and provide a more seamless experience in the future. Sincere Regards Yu Ming Guest Services Manager

The bed was to hard for me and could not open any windows for fresh air. The room is small but good, the shower was small and if you turn round you will likely turn the water off. Location is excellent above the MRT station and a a small food court in a small mall next to the station/hotel. More places to eat at the Kitchener complex across the road. McDonalds and Burger King here as well. Handy for getting around and to the airport, about 40 minutes.

Very disappointing. We booked this hotel for the end of a month long trip to SE Asia hoping for a relaxing stay. We booked 'superior room'. It was small, gloomy and box like, nothing like the advertised photographs. The window was filthy, covered in moss. We complained and the desk manager told us we have to pay. So I said you are telling us we have to pay for a room with a cleaner window and he said yes! What he was referring to was a room with a city view with windows that had been cleaned ( they obviously only clean front of hotel). They moved us to a room directly above our allocated room. It was no different, just dirty windows with no view and same small claustrophobic dark dingy layout. Front of house staff miserable and impersonal. Porters ignored us and let us lug our luggage to the rooms. Only staff that were friendly were cleaners and maintenance personnel.
Rooms were overall well cleaned. No hand towels though.
Plus points: near to MRT, reasonably clean,
Minus points: small bleak rooms, pool ok but covered under a concrete outlook, very badly designed layout for a hotel, no hand towels, bathroom tiny, breakfast ok but limited.
After staying in other less developed countries on our trip where the hotels, customer care and friendliness was superb, I would not recommend this hotel to friends and family. It is overpriced and the customer service is poor. The mangers of this hotel would do well to attend customer service training and support their staff to do the same. I will not be staying here again.

Here’s an improved version of the review:

Our stay at this hotel was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with exceptional service. Falcon, the receptionist, went above and beyond by allowing us to check in early and even upgrading our room to a more spacious one, ensuring that my husband, who uses a wheelchair, had plenty of room to move around comfortably. These thoughtful gestures were all provided at no extra charge, which we truly appreciated.

A special mention to Li Xing, the housekeeping staff, who always greeted us with a warm smile and made sure our room was spotless each day. Her friendly attitude and attention to detail made our stay even more enjoyable.

Thanks to the outstanding service and hospitality, our time in Singapore was made all the more unforgettable. We will definitely choose this hotel again if we have the chance to return!

We spent two nights in room 5-61.

We arrived late and took a cab from the airport. We had given them advance notice of our arrival time, and it was no problem. The check in was easy and staff friendly but not necessarily welcoming or outgoing. They also did something we found very odd. After we charged the breakfast buffet to our room, they left a card under our door asking us to come down and settle our account . . . before we even checked out. It wasn't difficult for us but was an annoying detail that didn't need to happen.

The room was set up efficiently but also very small and an extremely tiny bathroom. We have seen larger showers on cruise ships. I guess a benefit is there was no space to fall down if you slipped.

What this hotel has going for it is the location. It abuts the subway. You can get from the hotel to the subway under a covered walking area which came in handy when it poured rain on the last day of our visit. We used the subway to take us back to the airport after checking out, and it worked beautifully.

We did face some challenges: the mattress and pillows were extremely uncomfortable, and both of us work up sore. The air conditioner would only stay on in four hour increments. Because of the heat we had to get up in the middle of the night each night to reset the air conditioner to keep it running. In the bathroom, there were no washcloths or hand towels. The toilet paper dispenser was made for a contortionist, and the toilet paper was terribly thin and tore easily when you were trying to use it. The room did include filtered water which was a nice touch. There was no closet, only hooks on a wall and a rack with three hangers.

The breakfast buffet was not included in our room rate, and it was merely adequate. There was no orange juice, for example, just water and watered down "fruit punch" that tasted fake. The "fresh cut fruit" consisted of grapes and bananas, nothing like all of the other hotels we stayed in that included mangos and other truly fresh fruit. The second day we went to McDonalds, spent less money, and had a better breakfast.

It was fine, and the location alone warrants the three stars. However, if we came back to Singapore we would probably stay somewhere else.

What I love about this hotel is it's easily accessible with MRT, Bus and Taxi. It's also walking distance to Mustafa center which is a shopping heaven. They have a luggage storage which is a huge plus and very useful for travelers. Some of the reviews says that the rooms are small for its price, but if you will consider the benefits of staying here especially the accessibility and it's a 4-star hotel, the price is justifiable. The room has enough space for you to move around. It has a private restroom, hair dryer is also available in the room and it a has built-in cabinet where you can hang your clothes. If you want to iron your clothes, you can just go down to their laundry area. The wifi connection is also good for browsing. The food serve during their buffet breakfast is also delicious plus you can enjoy the good view of the city.

If you are looking for an accessible hotel this is the place to be. There is a food court near the hotel that has different food choices, MRT is also next to the hotel , 711 is only a few steps away, if you want to have a light meal Subway, Mcdo and burger king are all located near the hotel. We rented a car service during our stay in Singapore and the hotel location is just perfect if you want to visit tourist destinations. They also allow you to store your luggage there after you check out so you can roam around before going to the airport ( if your flight is at night). Check in and check out was also easy. They also have a weighing scale outside the hotel where you can weigh your luggage.

Room, amenities and breakfast are all average, acceptable but nothing special. I would choose this hotel again for accessibility.

Thank you!

The only best part of this hotel is it is built above the MRT station. But very bad in terms of rooms, service and worst breakfast. Indians especially will have a problem since they dont have health faucets. 2nd bathrooms are way too small compared to a 4 star hotel.
3rd issue is their breakfast is not having basic things like omelette to order. Sambher is horrible. Only watermelon and oranges are kept in terms of breakfast, similarly no variety in breads or even breakfast rolls. And reception doesnt pick up calls easily if you would like to enqiire anything before booking they are unreachable. Even they dont pick up intercom calls easily.
The biggest problem is they gave me a letter in my room that i can only boil hot water in kettle else there will be a penalty of 100 sgd. I only made tea and then washed the kettle myself. Still such a horrible issue since we as family need hot tea in morning. Now i might need to check out and find another hotel.

My family visited for the Holy Week/Easter season and it was lovely. The rooms are clean and comfortable and we appreciated getting free 500mL bottles of water each every day. The area is quiet and the metro and bus station are just downstairs which makes it very easy to go around the city and more affordable than taking taxis everywhere, the food stalls on the way to the metro are delicious and affordable, and there is a grocery and another food court just walking distance away, as well as multiple convenience stores nearby and in the metro downstairs. We needed some help with adjustments to our booking and this was handled very easily by the staff. Ms Cecilia from reception handled our booking with no problems and also helped us with directions to a few of our destinations. Mr Yu Ming/Henry was concierge when we checked in and he was very friendly and helpful with our late check-out, and he also gave us tips on places to go and directions. We will be very happy to come back to this hotel next time we come to Singapore.

I should have added that Google Maps has fantastic directions to use in Singapore with all bus and train routes. Lavender is a great hub to get to any place in Singapore easily and I have even taken a bus from Kuala Lumpur direct to Lavender Station last February.
