Village Hotel Changi offers a breath of fresh air from the other hotels in urban Singapore. The hotel is near the relatively untouched island of Pulau Ubin and the flora and fauna of the Chek Jawa Wetlands, which are both a bumboat ride away from Changi Ferry Terminal. Alternatively, guests can enjoy a leisurely stroll and enjoy the scenic Changi coastline. Located just 25 minutes away from Changi International Airport and 30-minute car ride from the Orchard shopping district, Village Hotel Changi is immensely popular with business travellers attending trade shows at the Singapore Expo, which is just 15 minutes away. With its proximity to the airport, the hotel is also a hot favourite with transit passengers who have a one or two-day stopover in our island nation.Village Hotel Changi's 380 rooms and 17 indoor and outdoor function venues make it ideal for both leisure and business travellers, with overseas meetings from foreign corporations, corporate retreats and team building sessions from local multinational corporations, weddings and solemnisations commonly held at the hotel.
Star ratings are intended to indicate the general level of features, amenities, and services to expect. This property is classified according to Giata.
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.

Would very much reccomend Hotel Changi if wanting to stay near airport. We had a very comfortable stay recently enhanced by the very polite staff particularly concierge staff called Alladin, who helped us at different times, including suggesting transport for newcomers like us who only had a master card and no exchange and also took a lot of effort to get WiFi on my husbands phone. The hotel is very near a lovely beach and promenade with leafy surroundings and you can grab a cheap ,clean quick meal at Hawkers place which is 5 mins away. They also have an airportshuttle and a shuttle to nearby MRT station which is very convenient. Would reccomend hotel to friends visiting Singapore

Village Hotel Changi was an ideal place to stay on a short stopover. There is a lovely walk around the beach/port area and a great hawkers market to get a cheap Singaporean meal. The hotel food was very expensive so we walked across the road to the markets. It was a pleasant area to recover and sleep before the next leg. Location was about 15-20 minute drive to the international terminal.

Once again we have spent a relaxing holiday at the Village Hotel Changi. October / November We have written many times about this hotel and why we still keep returning. After a busy day sightseeing or visiting the City, it is a pleasure to return to the peaceful surroundings of Changi and the very comfortable clean beds at the hotel. The staff as usual were very helpful and attentive. to our needs and requests. We would recommend anyone looking to stay at the Hotel to seriously consider upgrading to a Club room when booking.. You will have access to the comfortable club lounge with both inside and outside seating on the 6th floor where between 18.00 and 20.00 you can enjoy complementary drinks both alcoholic and soft drinks and also enjoy canapes, sweet treats and cheese and biscuits. Tea & coffee and soft drinks are available throughout the day from 11.00am until 11.00pm. You are also allowed two pieces of complimentary laundry per room per day. It's also a great way to meet fellow travellers and a quiet space to work if you require it. Lynn Club Manager and her fellow colleagues have a great knowledge of Singapore and give very helpful information if they can. Across from the hotel is a lovely tree lined park leading down to a beach and boardwalk. Which is both nice to walk in during the day and evening time when it is a little cooler. The hawker centre in the village itself is a great place to eat with a wealth of food and drink to choose from. An update for visiting the city you can buy a travel card and catch the number 2 bus to Upper Changi MRT station the catch the Downtown MRT train direct to the city.
We wish to thank all the staff at the Hotel for making our stay enjoyable. We would like to mention Steve, Lynn and William also Gomathi from housekeeping, Ridzuan for getting the fans working by the pool, Our dear friend Yusri, Alladin on front desk and Louis who together with Lynn waved us off on our departure. Please forgive if we haven't mention you by name but you were all a great credit to the hotel. We look forward to our next visit.

We held our wedding on the rooftop of this beautiful hotel. The rooms are great and everything but that's not why I want to write the review.
Everything was handled wonderfully and professionally from the day we were looking for a venue until the end of our event. The sales manager Christine was exceptional in helping us decide on the location and she was flexible on the wedding package to make it work for our budget. Every guest who attended the wedding was in awe of the venue given the budget that we had agreed with Christine. She worked her magic and coordinated with vendors to get our desired look. At every point in time, she was open to every question and clarification we needed. She understood our worries and addressed them openly. Regardless, from the first time we met her, she was always smiling as she communicate with us. It made the experience a pleasant one.
During the food tasting, we were served by this generous, happy man named, Chandru and god bless him. He assisted my wheelchair-bound mother and found solution after solution to ensure that my mother could enjoy the ceremony without feeling like a burden. He and his team were always ready to help. Another shout out to the overall in charge of the wedding ceremony, Kapi, for making sure that the event runs smoothly. When there were last-minute requests, they were happy to do it. One memorable example was when they asked me if I wanted any drinks during the ceremony. At that point in time, I wanted Coke Zero which they don't serve so I thought it was fine, I could go without the Coke Zero but 5minutes later, they came back with a can of Coke Zero that they bought across the street, served in their own glass and ice. I was surprised beyond words.
And with that, this concludes my review that the team deserves. If you are looking at a wedding venue, please find them. They do have a ballroom but the rooftop is such a beauty to not have the wedding there. You are facing the sea during your wedding, imagine that. We also received many compliments on the rooftop and view from our guests.
They deserve more than 5 stars. Thank you so much Village Hotel Changi team! These are just some photos that were taken. We can assure you there is more that is beyond words.

Having experienced a flight delay which resulted in my late arrival at the hotel, Sufian, one of the receptionists on duty, was reassuring in that a room was still available for me and within minutes a tired me was installed in a luxurious room overlooking the sea. I contacted Sufian again regarding a meal for the evening and was directed to the immaculate rooftop restaurant and bar alongside the open air swimming pool. The dinner that I enjoyed, the helpful service of the staff, soon had me relaxing after a long flight. The complimentary first drink was a bonus. Following a good nights sleep in the air conditioned room, I was directed to the temporary breakfast room - renovations were taking place in the main restaurant - where a feast of many and varied foods for all tastes and dietary requirements were available. With limited time to explore the local area before taking an onward flight to New Zealand, reception staff were helpful with advice. Knowing that I was to return to the hotel in about 3 weeks time, Sufian, again on duty, checked through my return schedule and bookings with me, sorting out anomalies in a very helpful and useful manner. Following my return arrival at the hotel a few weeks later, I was greeted by Sufian and his team like a long lost wanderer, checked in without fuss, received my complimentary drinks ticket, and zoomed up to my luxurious room in one of the four lifts available. Soon changed, I was up on the roof again, this time to have my drink and then swim to relax. An excellently prepared dinner from the varied menu followed a little later. A good sleep was unfortunately followed by my realisation that I had a toothache! Not a problem at reception….Sufian to the fore again. After a brief discussion with the reception team, a temporary solution to remove the toothache was found and by some miracle, once I had enjoyed my breakfast, strong pain-killers were provided to me and I was soon on my way to enjoy a day out in the city. Regrettably I was due to fly out again that night. I was reluctant to leave my luxurious temporary abode and the team at reception that had been so helpful to me during my visits. I shall be back.

We represent the Airport Emergency Service, and my company is conducting a Fire Investigation course with several participants from abroad. This four-day course took place in one of the function rooms, Cube 3. I was thoroughly impressed by the cleanliness of the facility, the quality of the audio and visual equipment, and the convenient amenities provided. The food served during the tea breaks and lunch was of exceptional quality, and the generous variety was particularly commendable. I would like to highlight the exemplary customer service provided by your staff members, Mr. Kapi, Mr. Dass, and Mr. Panil. They ensured that our requests were met and provided a designated space for our Muslim participants to pray.

Still in a beautiful location in Singapore but staff and conditions have deteriorated since covid. The surroundings, shops and restaurant, and wonderful nature and bird life are much the same as pre covid . However the hotel seems to have deteriorated quite significantly. We visited this hotel twice in June, either side of our trip to Langkawi. The first visit in early June was without incident, apart from us paying extra for a club room on floor six without any clubroom or other advantages available. Our visit at the end of June was more memorable. At check-in we were greeted by a large member of staff who seemed to know we were on a very late flight out. He then acted like a market seller, offering a barrage of variations on late check out and club room deals, even uttering the phrase " this is a one time offer" . We were too tired to take it all in so accepted what seemed the best deal and payed by debit card. Room cleaning staff were very good, breakfast and restaurant staff were moody and sullen. Upon check out things got interesting. This holiday, including hotels had been paid for many months ago. We had quite a few hours to wait before our flight so my wife checked our bank account. She found that the hotel had charged the price of our room to our account. We of course went to the desk and questioned this. Various excuses from you have just been charged for your room, you have to contact your travel agent for a refund, until the truth which was, we incorrectly charged the price to your debit card instead of the travel agent. The manager said sorry but might take a month to get back into our account. Was getting angry at this point at this level of incompetence. The manager eventually agreed to ask their finance department to reimburse us. This has been done nearly 2 weeks later. We of course lost out on bank conversations etc. . Conclusion on hotel, beautiful location, great food around the area, hotel needs a lick of paint and renovation, desk staff need training, cavalier use of guests credit and debit card details need addressing urgently. So disappointed in this quite major decline, as in March 2020 pre pandemic I was glad to give this 5 stars.

Stayed in your hotel for a month for work reasons. During my stay John cleaned my room. He was very sincere with people and wanted to treat me like a friend. He gave me lots of good advice. When I went out he reminded me to bring an umbrella and recommended where it was cheaper to buy in Singapore. He also brought some local Singaporean food to my room when I was off and sometimes accompanied me for a chat. He knew I loved the green tea at the hotel. He added it to me every day, and his service was attentive and sincere, making me feel like I was alone abroad because I wouldn't feel strange. His sincerity deserves a lot of praise. I would report back to my company about John's five-star service in the Changi Rooms Department and suggest that the company would always go with your hotel.

I have been staying at this hotel for three days now. I'm here in Singapore for work, and I chose this hotel because of its convenient location for my business. There's a hawker center (food court) nearby with a variety of delicious and affordable food options, and the hotel breakfast is also reasonably priced (around 20 SGD) with excellent quality. The room I’m staying in is very clean, and the housekeeping staff who clean it daily are friendly and attentive. Over the past few days, they’ve become like friendly companions. The staff member assigned to my room is named SAI, and if anyone from the hotel reads this, I hope he receives recognition for his outstanding service. He greets me warmly every day and keeps the room spotless. I’d love to stay at this hotel again the next time I visit Singapore.

Not sure if this is the deal we took, but we upgraded and were able to check in early, check out late, and had access to a lounge that had a happy hour each evening. The room was also very close to the lounge, btw. It was worth for us.
