Village Hotel Changi offers a breath of fresh air from the other hotels in urban Singapore. The hotel is near the relatively untouched island of Pulau Ubin and the flora and fauna of the Chek Jawa Wetlands, which are both a bumboat ride away from Changi Ferry Terminal. Alternatively, guests can enjoy a leisurely stroll and enjoy the scenic Changi coastline. Located just 25 minutes away from Changi International Airport and 30-minute car ride from the Orchard shopping district, Village Hotel Changi is immensely popular with business travellers attending trade shows at the Singapore Expo, which is just 15 minutes away. With its proximity to the airport, the hotel is also a hot favourite with transit passengers who have a one or two-day stopover in our island nation.Village Hotel Changi's 380 rooms and 17 indoor and outdoor function venues make it ideal for both leisure and business travellers, with overseas meetings from foreign corporations, corporate retreats and team building sessions from local multinational corporations, weddings and solemnisations commonly held at the hotel.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Having experienced a flight delay which resulted in my late arrival at the hotel, Sufian, one of the receptionists on duty, was reassuring in that a room was still available for me and within minutes a tired me was installed in a luxurious room overlooking the sea. I contacted Sufian again regarding a meal for the evening and was directed to the immaculate rooftop restaurant and bar alongside the open air swimming pool. The dinner that I enjoyed, the helpful service of the staff, soon had me relaxing after a long flight. The complimentary first drink was a bonus. Following a good nights sleep in the air conditioned room, I was directed to the temporary breakfast room - renovations were taking place in the main restaurant - where a feast of many and varied foods for all tastes and dietary requirements were available. With limited time to explore the local area before taking an onward flight to New Zealand, reception staff were helpful with advice. Knowing that I was to return to the hotel in about 3 weeks time, Sufian, again on duty, checked through my return schedule and bookings with me, sorting out anomalies in a very helpful and useful manner. Following my return arrival at the hotel a few weeks later, I was greeted by Sufian and his team like a long lost wanderer, checked in without fuss, received my complimentary drinks ticket, and zoomed up to my luxurious room in one of the four lifts available. Soon changed, I was up on the roof again, this time to have my drink and then swim to relax. An excellently prepared dinner from the varied menu followed a little later. A good sleep was unfortunately followed by my realisation that I had a toothache! Not a problem at reception….Sufian to the fore again. After a brief discussion with the reception team, a temporary solution to remove the toothache was found and by some miracle, once I had enjoyed my breakfast, strong pain-killers were provided to me and I was soon on my way to enjoy a day out in the city. Regrettably I was due to fly out again that night. I was reluctant to leave my luxurious temporary abode and the team at reception that had been so helpful to me during my visits. I shall be back.

Louise at the reception was a breeze, even late at night. We were pleasantly surprised by a free upgrade that truly elevated our stay. The service was impeccable, and Louise's attention to detail made all the difference. Ammy’s exceptional service made our stay even more memorable. Whenever we had questions or needed assistance, she was incredibly responsive and engaging. Her genuine care, especially towards our young child, made us feel truly at home. Thank you for going above and beyond to ensure our comfort and happiness during our stay." Village hotel Thank you for the outstanding hospitality!"

The hotel was incredible… I loved the snack cart, the rooftop infinity pool with a fantastic view and in particular the staff were so friendly and helpful. The day manager Seri made our visit a Joyful one… the visit was part holiday part business. The first day the hotel catered a delicious evening meal.

We have stayed at this hotel many times and have never been disappointed. It's a great location, as you don't have far to walk to local restaurants and the Hawker Centre. It is looking a bit tired now, but that appears to be addressed as they are renovating the restaurant.

I booked via OTA as usual and been a ' regular' here. Each time I return, I see new faces, and those seniors there are too egoist to even greet guests. The room given to me was 649, I love the view (lots of greenery). Unfortunately, the AC in the room is not working well, and I was perspiring in the room (and this is very uncalled for, I didn't pay to sweat in the room). Hence, I called the receptionist to inform them, and a guy answered and told me they would send a technician up to my room to check on the issue. Then I asked him, so after checking, and if the technician is unable to fix it, what happened next, and how long will this checking take place? He said he won't know (well, fair enough!) Of course, he won't know; but why am I being penalised when I paid to have a good staycation, by having a technician in my room with me yet not sure if he is able to fix the issue or not, isn't that a waste of my precious time?? Why would I pay for such a staycation?! On a side note, I would like to bring to the management attention too, one of your amazing staff from Housekeeping, Zi Heng. He came to my assistant for a clean-up room request, and he did amazingly great and truly efficient (and in his efficiency, his work is remarkable and neat!!). This review got a better star rating cos of him. Otherwise, I would have given 1 or zero star!! Especially when I called the receptionist to inform the AC of not being cool! They were a rude bunch of people not deserved to be at the front line of a hotel service for sure!! I wonder WHY the management hires such a team?

Very good to excellent. Reception staff everywhere are stressed - They should force themselves to smile, it lets out good vibres for themselves and visitors. Also to show genuine warmth when interacting with vistors - As I said the stress they must experience impacts their attitudes -

We like the location in the centre of Changi village. The hotel offers good value for money, however the continued closure of many facilities is disappointing. The hotel executive lounge and coffee shop I gather were closed during Covid and have yet to reopen.

Stayed here 3 times and it is in poor condition with renovations ongoing. Atelier restaurant service terrible so if you do end up here make sure you eat out at the Changi Village market two minutes walk from the hotel.
