The good points were that the room was a reasonable size, the staff were very good and helpful and it was quite quiet at night. Bed was comfortable.The decor was just about acceptable though a little tired. The negatives were the unexpected deposit of $200 against damage to be paid on arrival, class hotel this one. The location is quite remote and necessitates a walk and bus/metro journey to get anywhere of interest. We found the area run down, though some may describe it a characterful. Water from the room upstairs was running down the bathroom wall. Not the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.....

Good value for money, spacious room, spacious shower which I loved with non slip tiles very safe, rain shower too, good quality towels, good amentities in the room, hair dryer, stand to hang clothes, round side table, desk mirror was large, lightings in room sufficient and easy to turn off and on.
Check in was efficient, lady at the front desk was polite, worked quickly but effectively to ensure to explain all details about covid regulations and checks and paperwork needed to be informed to us before handing us our room keys.
Large spacious quiet room on a high floir as requested, with nice view of greenery across the street. Excellent Service.
Closet with hangers and extra pillows.
Comfy pillows but unfortunately, the 1 king-size bed advertised was 2 mattresses put together with a king- sized matress protector to stimulate a king- sized bed, which it did not. Dissapointed as it was not as comfy and every movement of 1 person woke the other, we checked out earlier due to this as we did not get a restfull sleep.
We felt it was unfortunate that the roof top restaurant we had heard so much about was closed due to the new covid regulations which came into effect unfortunately the same day we had booked to check in.
We would have loved to experience the rooftop restaurant but alas it was not meant to be.
Maybe another time.

We had come once before when it was Wangz, and enjoyed returning. The room was spacious and welcoming, and the staff very friendly. We arrived very early in the morning and went out for a long walk, by the time we returned, we didn't wait long to have a room. Everyone was cordial and friendly, we even were given bottles of water to refresh ourselves for when we went out for a walk. My only suggestion is to have a few hooks or an additional place to hang the towels after a shower.

This property has been a go-to ever since it was Wangz (see my previous reviews) and it never failed to impress.

Was pretty hesitant to book this property when I saw it changed ownership and name. I booked with some trepidation a 3 night family trip. First impressions on check in was the rearrangement of the lobby. Gone are the cafe, the complimentary iMac and the friendly front desk staff. It was replaced by a vending machine, couches, pay-per-use massage chairs and a single receptionist. The familiar scent in the lobby was gone and the ambiance was a lot less homey and quite sterile.

While the receptionist was friendly enough, the check in process was painful and glitchy.

The room layout was familiar but felt a lot worn. The bath towels were thin, worn, and had holes. The old premium bath amenities were replaced with a generic branded shower gel and shampoo.

There was also a lack of amenities like shaving kits and cotton buds (you had to call the front desk to request - US budget hotel style). The mattress was too soft for my taste. Worst, the A/C in one of the rooms that we booked conked out. Called the front desk to try to sort it out but it never got fixed.

This may be the last time I will stay in this hotel.

First impressions are quite dull… they try to make an effort with a little table set up of local biscuits and a coffee machine… the hygiene standards are eye opening as they don’t offer disposable stirrers. I can understand being green… but 1 teaspoon placed in a holder for common use?

If it was a holder of clean spoons, each for one time use and then they washed it. That would be good effort to be green, but one to be shared. That’s an ick.

We got the balcony room, room is big and spacious but it needs a refresh. The wardrobe sliding door connect to the lights was a joke, I could hear the sensor trying to desperately hard to click.

Bath towels are also fraying… and the shower head is on one of those non 360 types. For the ladies who wish to take a quick shower without wetting our head… that would be pretty difficult.

Mattress is really soft, so lucky we were just doing a night staycay… can’t imagine if I was a visiting tourist… my back would be so achy from poor sleeping posture.

Parking is another joke! They have basement parking but all the lots have a cone on them. When I arrived, a security personal came out from the office situation beside the parking lots and instead of assisting to remove the cone after I asked him if it was ok to park. He gestured me to that I would have to remove the cone on my own.

So much for hotel service. This might as well be a dorm.

Overall… I’m pretty surprised this is under the Ascott group. As I’ve much enjoy my stays at other Ascott properties.

As a frequent business & leisure traveler, I have stayed in over 30 hotels in 2022 alone. This hotel (D'Hotel) was the worst hotel we have stayed in this year. It feels like a 2 star motel (US Standards). The room looks nothing like the photos online. It is smaller, smells of mold and overall uncomfortable. The rooms are not in good condition and worst part is the toilets barely flush, the sink and the shower do not drain properly. Wifi was very poor. If you are a tourist or a business traveler, then this location is not idea. It is 15 minutes walk to the closest Metro, which will take you over 40 minutes just to get anywhere worth going. Singapore is expensive but there are many nice hostels that offer cleaner and nicer amenities in a more central location for much less than this hotel.

The hotel is in an excellent location close to Tiong Bahru Market, bus stops and good eateries. The famous Tiong Bahru Bao is just next door.
My room is very spacious, clean, quiet and with a nice view. Even the toilet has a view. Everything in my room worked. Bed and pillows were very comfortable, bed linen and towels clean and fresh and shower consistently hot. The housekeeper was also polite and friendly.
The reception staff were friendly and polite. .Faiz, Martin and Bryan provided good service. Faiz even asked if I had an umbrella when I passed him one day on the way out as it was drizzling outside. He even remembered my surname.
The hotel surpassed my expectations and is excellent value for money.

The description of the room we booked was "deluxe twin room, with city views". The pictures of the description were very clear: unobstructed view of the surroundings. However, on arrival in the room, we found that a huge fence blocked the entire window.

I regret choosing D'Hotel Singapore for my stay. This property is a far cry from what was promised and completely failed to meet the standards of a four-star hotel.

Upon arrival, we were given a room that was filthy and smelled strongly of mold and a harsh, acrid odor. The shower was missing a door, and the general cleanliness was appalling. The fridge was dirty, the carpet stained, and the bathroom tiles were grimy. This is not what you expect from any hotel, let alone one that claims to be four-star.

After complaining, we were moved to another room, which was supposedly an "upgrade." However, this room also had major issues: the bed was broken, making it impossible to sleep comfortably. There were only two towels and no other amenities such as bathrobes or slippers, which are standard for a hotel of this caliber. The hotel’s customer service was also non-existent. I attempted to contact the hotel after 22:00 using the number provided, but no one ever answered.

I have stayed at other hotels within the same group in Singapore, and this one is a major disappointment. The management’s lack of concern for the issues I raised and their failure to offer any real solution makes this experience unacceptable. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, and I will never be returning.

Save your money and book elsewhere.

Wonderful Stay. So comfortable.
Room aircon was a bit noisy so I was moved to a quieter room which was perfect.
Everywhere very clean and smart.
Lovely big rooms and bathrooms.
Fabulous large bed with beautiful quality bedding.
Staff were great - very helpful and accommodating.
I would definitely stay here again.
I hope it wont be too expensive next year when I visit Tiong Bahru again!
