I was looking for a hotel in Chinatown and near an MRT station and was deciding between this hotel and Bliss hotel, which are very near each other. Although i read the reviews about the rooms being small, i went ahead and booked this for my fiancee's sister's honeymoon and to my surprise they gave us a free upgrade to... More

Stayed here for a night, booked a standard room with queen bed. Staffs: They are very nice and welcoming, fast check-in. Room: IT IS SO SMALL that when I first got into the room I had to go into the toilet to give space for my boyfriend to take our luggage in. There is a build-in closet "thing" that has... More

I was on a business trip to Singapore and unfortunately my company booked me at this place. I didn't know that a hotel room could be so small. It was like a closet with a toilet. I stayed for 3 days and then went to another hotel. I couldn't take being in a coffin.

The rooms are compact cubicles, which are extremely clean, modern and have everything you could need. Because of the style and limited space there were no windows in my room and the lighting was very dim. For me it felt a bit claustrophobic and was unable to get a full nights sleep. The location is excellent, just a stones throw... More

I have stayed in some pretty awful places in my life but this hotel really tops the list. Mentally it sucks the life out of you the moment you walk in, dark dingy corridors and no window in the room. No wardrobe to hang any clothes and no space to open a suitcase. It is a true gateway to hell.... More

We knew from reading reviews that the rooms were tiny, so when we checked in we were delighted to hear they they gave us a free room upgrade to a deluxe room!! We laughed so much when we got to the room!!! We literally had to put our luggage on the headboard of the bed! Luckily we only had hand... More

Rooms are very small & so is the price. Very cheap from Singapore angle & Singapore prices. If you are ok with a 8 sq feet room or 10 sq feet room with just enough place for 2 people to sleep & keep 2 bags & one basin & one shower panel, then its is a good deal. No food... More

The hotel was about 10 mins walking distance from Chinatown MRT station. I stayed with my family for 3d/2n for a holiday trip in SG. The hotel is clean and the reception is quite nice. The only downside was that the hotel has no resto of its own which caused them to not serve breakfast. However, since it is located... More

our room was very small and expensive (but for singapore this was cheap). it is close to the train lines and the size was fine for our 3 night stay. service was pretty average, the girls weren't friendly. wifi also average but we would recommend for anyone wanting a good cheap room.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
