Stayed one night layover, good spot if flying into Singapore in the evening and want to explore Chinatown markets and food before flying out the next day.
Aircon was a bit loud but overall would recommend if looking for a cheap good three star hotel
Have stayed here for three days. Staff were helpful with directions to places of interest. It is just around the corner from the MRT and Pagoda St which has all the food markets and souvenir stalls.
Only downfall is having the front room, way too...More
Since my last visit last year the property has not improved much, I expected more. However for the price I guess that you can't get a better location. The hotel is located minutes away to the downtown MRT station and China Town. Good for short...More
Hotel's close proximity to the MRT is the only good thing i experience. Please check calculation of your added tax. The girl from reception doesnt seem to know how to calculate additional taxes. The room i was put in was next to the public toilet...More
The staff in this hotel is NOT professional at all. All I did was to leave a letter (quite an important one) and asked them to drop that in the letterbox. My big mistake was to trust them to be sincere and professional enough to...More
Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill.
There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
