Very small room but just nice for a night stay. Close to Chinatown MRT station, a shopping mall and McDonalds. you can even go to Clarke Quay by walking distance (10 -15 minutes). Behind hotel there's a very nice Chiew Kee Chicken Noodle House.

Fantastically located! There is a Chinatown MRT station, a supermarket, McDonalds and even Chinatown Food Centre (hawker food - look it up) mostly about 2 mins (~150m) and all less than 4 mins (~300m) walk away from the Porcelain Hotel. I've stayed all over Singapore (near Bugis, Orchard Rd, Clarke Quay etc) and this hotel near Chinatown MRT is hard...

Every time if I am in Singapore for business I'll check in the Porcelain Hotel in Chinatown. It is close to the Business Area and everything you need - like food, transportation and entrainment - is close by but it is still a place to rest. The rooms are extremely small but big enough if you just need a place...

I'm a solo traveller, as you know, it's not easy to find the room with reasonable price in good location. I recommend this hotel for solo traveller. Facility is good enough and can use warm water enough and a/c was so good that I need to turn it off in the middle of night! MRT station was also close. Good...

This hotel have a great location in the center of China town, easy to take MRT. The rooms are small for few dollars more can have a room in a real hotel with space and facility that an hotel can offer. Bed are very soft and low not good for guest who have back problems. Easy check in and out

This hotel was a Little Gem. Although the rooms are compact, they are clean and have a fridge, safe and lovely toiletries all supplied. My friend had a small Twin room toward the front of the hotel, But still the noise level was nowhere to be heard. I was lucky enough to be upgraded to a suite with a double...

Looking for a good shower and a comfortable bed in a place where all the basic amenities are working well? How about proximity to the MRT and affordable food? Walking distance to the CBD? Look no further. This is the hotel. However, I got a small room and it was a bit cramped.

I chose Porcelain Hotel mainly on a price point basis and proximity to Club St, Amoy St (for bars and restaurants) and Marina Bay for jogging. I was pleasantly surprised to find it excellent value for the money. Yes, it is in Mosque St. which is a backpacker's hostelry area, but it is a very nice little hotel with pocket...

My brand new $65 earrings went missing after my first night. I am assuming they were vacuumed by housekeeping but this really isn't a good excuse. I emailed the hotel and stopped at the front desk twice, no response whatsoever. :(

Was looking for a reasonable valued hotel in Singapore and this came up so I made the booking. The room is extremely small, no doubt but I was looking to spend my time exploring Singapore anyway so that wasn't a big deal. So if you are looking for something reasonably priced, in an easy location and only want the room...

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
