Hotel is clean with good located in china town area. Many Chinese in close proximity. The rooms were very small. Internet connection was good. Did not try the breakfast. The bathroom is clean and nice.

Steps away from Chinatown MRT. Cannot get hungry, food stalls and restaurants are everywhere. Museum is only steps away. Many interesting places nearby. Too bad I did not have time to browse through due to family business. Will be back again next time.

We loved this hotel's location. It's very accessible since it's located at the heart of Chinatown, a mere 5 min-walk to the MRT. The room is just enough for 2 persons. But will be a little crowded if you're bringing a lot of stuff. But the facility is truly well maintained.

I would've given this a 3.5 star if that were an option, because the experience here was definitely above average but below very good. For a boutique hotel (this is NOT a bed and breakfast, not sure why it's categorized as such), Porcelain definitely had a very unique and interesting flavor. I especially like the understated yet elegant decorations that...

When I stay for holidays I'm usually in a chirpy mood. And it doesn't take much to make me happy. Service was barely existent, if you call it service at all. It was not rude, but probably bordering on it, if you are nitpicky. From the first greeting, which was not much of a greeting, to the end of my...

Had a staycation on the 31st of December for countdown with friends, we chose the most luxury room with white and porcelain as the theme. The bathtub is more of a open concept, in the same area where the beds were. I'm satisfied with my stay because of the big area, with beautiful bathtub, mirror and basin. We were shock...

My wife and I decided on a local hotel for staycation. The room cleanliness is 3.5/5. The amenities around is largely catering to Chinese as it is found in Chinatown. Walking distance from Chinatown train station. The bath tub is large. Wifi is strong and good. The bad thing is the TV quality is poor. Doesn't show all the local...

This hotel is located one street away from Chinatown, so it will be a little less crowded and quieter than usual. The rooms are compact and clean. However, it might be too small for those with families. A couple or a solo traveller would be fine in these conditions.

I was in this hotel from 2nd to the 8th January, 2017. The location of the hotel is in a very nice place if you love food. This is two streets away from the food street. The best part of this hotel is that it is very conveniently situated and the MRT is like 50 meters from the hotel. The...

I stayed here for two weeks and it promises much and delivers little. My first room was tiny with nowhere to luggage or hang clothes. I was then shown another room and the mattress was on the floor. I was then given a suite for the night which was a large room but quite nice. The next day I was...

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
