The room was tiny with barely enough room to put two bags beside the double bed. The room was really run down with wall paper falling off the walls. Not really like the pictures. The hotel wouldn't print our boarding passes out for us even though they had a printer behind the desk. Cheap option for Singapore seeing as it...

If you go to Singapore and want a cheap hotel only for sleep ant take a bath, this is one of the best. With price only around SGD 40, it is good. Water heater, Daikin AC, and 2 cups of instant coffee. But the room is really small. And remember, there is no elevator.

I guess you get what you pay for but when I've stayed in hostels cheaper than this hotel it was been much better by comparison! This hotel was disgusting, very dirty and I didn't like the location one bit!

We stayed here for 5 nights, as backpackers visiting Singapore it was perfect for us. The price was very cheap for Singapore, and just 10 mins walk away from the MTR station, and even closer for local buses. Small room and bathroom but we didn't spend much time there anyway so was fine! Room provided shower gel, aircon, comfy bed,...

The room is clean but a bit smelly, like water stain. Got warm water heater, air-conditioner, free wifi and a TV. Outside the building there are a few coffee shops that not only serves drinks but also hawker type foods. The nearest MRT is Aljuneid which is about 10 mins walk from hotel. In fact this hotel is situated in...

More research established that it was neither the closest to the SMRT Aljuneid station – nor the cheapest in the area but SID60 is certainly not a lot to pay for a room in Singapore. At least the rooms were clean – and I have stayed in much worse than this. Aljuneid does provide a very different aspect to the...

We booked this hotel through booking.com offer, so we got a good rate. Room was extremely small, but we did not mind that as we were spending very limited time in the room. Room and wash room were clean. Front office staff was helpful and friendly, however, the cleaner was rude to us, which made us bit disappointed. All the...

It was cheap so I booked it. My bad. I got there late after a long day and just wanted to sleep. The room is very small but that's ok for one person. Bathroom also small but again, adequate and clean enough. There was a fitted sheet on the bed but no top sheet, only one of those scratchy woolen...

This hotel is 15 minutes walk to the Tube Station. The room was relatively clean only hairs on the sheets, not ours. The aircon worked but there was no windows. This hotel is tiled and perfect hotel for transmitting noise, if people are talking in a different corridor the noise carries, me and my girlfriend were kept awake by people...

Staying in Geylang

Neighbourhood Profile
Geylang
Only a short journey from Singapore’s sparkling and polished city centre, Geylang is a world away. Here in one of the least touristy areas of Singapore, visitors are privy to an unfiltered glimpse of Singapore life. On Sunday afternoons, migrant workers gather in Geylang to let off steam after a tough week. At the eastern end of Geylang Road, families and friends happily enjoy picnics. By contrast, at the western end, a more colourful side of Singapore can be seen, as street workers mingle with Sunday revelers in outdoor coffee shops. Take a friend, grab a beer and a local meal (frog porridge, perhaps?), and settle in to enjoy the show.
