We have booked Amrise Hotel via online booking site and we have no regrets staying in this hotel. Its is fee minutes walk to train station (aljunied). Hawker restaurants and convinience stores are available within the area.
Thanks amrise hotel for beautiful stay in SINGAPORE....More
Reception : Very poor and rude reception. They took the entire charges of full stay at check in and refused to issue a receipt or give anything in writing. After a good discussion, they gave a receipt of payment made and that too they said...More
This is a budget solution if you need accommodation for an overnight, not any more. It is near the metro system (public transport) and not far from airport. Rooms are spartan and service just acceptable.

Room is small. Old. Wall paper ripped and torn. Toilet leaked and shower handle broken.
Down on the street there's plenty of noise from the eating house. All night.
I got the unpleasant surprise of 7% tax and 10% service fee added to my bill....More

Only a short journey from Singapore’s sparkling and polished city centre, Geylang is a world away. Here in one of the least touristy areas of Singapore, visitors are privy to an unfiltered glimpse of Singapore life. On Sunday afternoons, migrant workers gather in Geylang to let off steam after a tough week. At the eastern end of Geylang Road, families and friends happily enjoy picnics. By contrast, at the western
end, a more colourful side of Singapore can be seen, as street workers mingle with Sunday revelers in outdoor coffee shops. Take a friend, grab a beer and a local meal (frog porridge, perhaps?), and settle in to enjoy the show.
