The location is excellent, hotel is in the middle of food street and one can find lot of "made in china" shops around every corner. Staff in the hotel was very nice, helpful and friendly. The "Family Room" for us (2 adults and 2 children) was sufficient but I wouldn't stay here longer than one night as we did before...

Located in Chinatown with shops and restaurants all around. This hotel is for those looking for a place to sleep on a very convenient location. It's a bit old, but then again we were out early and back late, so it served its purpose. We were with my father-in-law who is in a wheelchair and there is a lift but...

As Singaporeans, we decided, impromptu, to scour Chinatown during the pre-Chinese New Year period and to stay overnight within the bustle of the area. The counter staff at the reception was unhelpful and reluctant to help room us. We were 2 adults with 4 kids and required a suite or 2 rooms. To cut a long story short, the lady receptionist...

The location is great if you target chinatown.Regarding food, stay away from the "food street" and go to the maxwell center for REAL quality street food. It's 10mn away from the train station with a direct line to the airport, convenient. My room was small, and with a window on a small internal volume. The bathroom-shower was small but convenient....

The concept and rooms have a big gap and feel like being cheated with the images and location. Disappointed! original booked hotel was a queen size bed and one single bed in Chinatown concept. But, we have been taken to another location upon checked in. Further, Santa grand given the India concept room and three single bed room. We will...

Very good location in Chinatown, close to lots of cheap eateries (but it's not hard to find those in Singapore). Price acceptable as for Singapore. Rooms are very small, decor is quite old and could use some renovation but otherwise clean.WiFi had decent quality. Overall good for cheap stay for 1-2 nights.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
