This is the first time I stay in a proper hotel in Singapore, in 21 years! The last time I did so was back in 1995, when me and my family stayed at Marrot hotel at Tang's Plaza in Orchard road. Back then prices in Singapore was way cheaper than what it is now, and Indonesian Rupiah value haven't endured...

After a 6 week trip around Asia and staying at many hotels on different levels we decided that our final stay before returning home would be special. We researched, as we did all our accomodation, and chose the Santa Grand Hotel, Bugis which we were happy with based on photo's and other traveller reviews. What a let down! The room...

We had a good stay at the hotel and in the pool also. The staff was good but they did not allow us to fill a bottle of water before we left. I wish there was was a sapeate charge for a child's breakfast 10$ is too steep.

We just need a night stay to prepare for an early morning tour to Merlion, Elezabeth Hospital and Makam Habib Noh. As usual the room is very small, we have to push the twin bed to each side to create a middle space. The breakfast is not HALAL so we just aand butter.

We stayed at 4th floor, which was the highest floor and next to swimming pool. Whole level has some sort of musty smell and the corridor was really narrow. You'll need to walk sideways if housekeeping trolley is outside other rooms. The room was very much smaller than expected, and not in good condition, partial wall has black patches, seems...

Chose this property relying on multiple very good experience s with Santa Grand on East Coast Road. Disappointed with very tiny rooms and how long it takes for hot water to flow in the shower. Breakfast was ok and location is convenient to Bugis. Very pleased with complimentary local phone provided for duration of the stay.
