The location is convenience and good, Bugis or City Hall is just within walking distance. Hotel staff is polite to me when I checked in. All the basic amenities are provided in the room.

The soundproof is very bad. I can hear people talking and banging door from outside when I was taking a nap in the afternoon. The hotel should show the call-to-lobby number on the telephone. There was a food menu but I couldn't find any contact to call for ordering the food. End up i just went to the 7-11 beside the hotel and get some snacks and food.

The only thing I liked about this hotel is the location. It's just 2 blocks away from Bugis. The hotel looks like a college dormitory. Singapore is pretty expensive and this hotel seems to be expensive to me. I just had no time to look for better hotels.

Dear Guest, Thank you for staying with us and we are glad that you enjoyed the convenience of our Hotel's location. Do consider booking directly with us in the future for lower prices and free upgrades. Our room prices are based on market rates, and weekdays are lower priced compared to weekends. Perhaps you may consider off peak periods in the future for a better deal. Thank you!

It's clear from the price and the photos that this isn't a high end property, but if budget is your priority it's clean, safe, and in a great location.

We were in for a couple days of business meetings so really just needed a place to sleep. Our rooms were large by Asia standards, and the king bed was comfortable. The AC was a bit noisy (though it's "babbling brook" gurgling was akin to relaxing white noise for me. I stopped noticing it quickly, while others might not. Critical for me, the AC worked well. Water pressure in the shower was also excellent, another thing that matters to me.

The wifi was reliable and there was a bar fridge for leftovers from dinner or milk for morning cereal
Each room had a small balcony. Not much view but it would be a major bonus for smokers since like most the hotel bans smoking inside. (And durians, so there's a fun souvenir photo opp.)

They don't take Amex but do take visa, and I saw others leave a cash deposit.

There is a small restaurant off the lobby but I didn't try it. Many restaurants nearby in the Bugis area and several malls. Starbucks and McDonalds both close by for those who want the familiar, though I recommend going to the laksa stand outside the OG department store for a taste of Singapore.

Buses and trains are nearby and we walked the approx. 1 km to the famous River Walk area.

They were able to extend my colleague's stay and the front desk staff were helpful every time.

I'll file this one under reasonable price and convenience, for the traveler on a budget.

This is a rather melancholic place, to say the least. Staff at reception, who for some reason seem to share the space with a traditional Chinese café, provided a welcome that was so painstakingly impersonal that I was almost impressed. An older Chinese gentleman managed to be particularly aloof and was consistent in so being for the remainder of our stay, scarcely mustering more than a grunt of disdainful acknowledgement when we checked out. A charming chap: you really must meet him.

My room was utterly poor: as I struggled to fall asleep on a mattress whose hardness evoked that of volcanic rock embedded over many millennia, I found myself ruminating on whether the room reminded me more of a hostel or hospital room. I suppose neither would be a compliment, and I will let you contemplate the same question should you have the misfortune of staying at this establishment. The decor here is old and worn, with a cheap and nasty lamp that couldn’t even be plugged into the mismatched wall sockets. The shower water oscillates between Siberian-style cold and infernal heat: it was difficult to find a happy medium and guests run a very genuine risk of scalding themselves in future if the taps are not better configured.

The ‘complimentary mini bar’ merely contained an aged-looking carton of green tea and can of Sprite. Neither of these greying containers tempted me to try the liquids within them, not least because the fridge itself could be barely called refrigerated, and so was actually more of a ‘mini cupboard’. My irresistible Singapore view, meanwhile, consisted of a stained back alley wall.

The only redeeming feature of this hotel is its generally central location. That said, when I am next in Singapore, I will probably stay in Chinatown, which is a less manicured (in comparison to the neighbourhood and not this hotel, if that weren’t clear!) and more interesting place to spend your time. Needless to say, I will not be back. Goodbye and good riddance!

Hotel just newly renovated. It is only 5mins away from city Hall Station. 10 mins walk to bugis Station Room comes with free snacks and there is nespresso machine, which you usually only see in 5 stars hotel. Bed is firm and to my liking. Got a free upgrade from the hotel, which is awesome! Will stay again.

Booked this hotel last minute when other hotels are either fully booked or too expensive. It’s a small hotel so we initially didn’t expect much for a 2 night stay. The room we booked was big compared to other 3 star hotels and even some 4 star. Room was also very clean with basic amenities provided. It is also easy to find cheap food around the hotel and there is a 7-eleven next to the hotel. It is about 10 min walk to Bugis MRT and Bugis Junction. Overall, nothing to complain and would recommend to budget travellers.

If you are a real traveller and want to keep costs down, just need the basics, love to walk to explore “hole in wall” local places for good, cheap meals in Chinatown and Little India, want good reliable air conditioning (a must for humid Singapore), a balcony and a bathtub 🛁 (and free bath bombs), the Victoria Hotel is for you. You are not paying for a 5 star and this is not a 5 star hotel. However, we had a minor issue during our stay and management was incredibly prompt to address it and gave us 5 star service. 🙏

This was a really disappointing start to our stay in Singapore. It’s incredibly frustrating as we felt misled by the hotel. To quote the hotel says it ‘offers a tranquil urban oasis that epitomises modern luxury for the most discerning guests”

Our room was far from an urban oasis, epitomising modern luxury. As the room looked tired and well worn, this is highlighted in the images as there were multiple scuffs & marks across various walls, including where they had attempted to hide a crack in the wall with a photo frame glued to the wall.

The bathroom was significantly unhygienic as it appeared it had not been cleaned prior to our check in. Furthermore there was no towels provided with the room.

Following on the bedding linen & pillows were full of stains & marks, which added to our uncomfortable stay.

Due to these unacceptable issues found with the room, we addressed the issues with staff at reception where we he was rude to us, told us what does he expect us to do and after asking to change rooms we were told to go away. Additionally we asked what we were supposed to do as we didn’t feel comfortable spending the night in the room and we were told to speak to someone the following day.

I didn’t sleep well due to how uncomfortable and unpleasant the room & staff member was, including my partner who suffers from allergies & the high quantity of dust accumulated around the room.

We felt it was in our best interest to checkout of the hotel early, the following morning as we couldn’t bear to spend another day and night in this hotel.

Everything was okay and paid in the hotel and registeration takes a while. Park the car under the hotel and when i was out for dinner and came back, realise car was clamped. They demand i pay $180 to take off the clamp. so misleading with the hotel sign outside the carpark that if cannot park why you show behind the building? And fine sign is so high sky for who to see?? overall NOT FREE PARKING! I went to other 2 star hotel their parking is limited with the same as this but also not as in they dont allow.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to do a detailed review and we are sorry to hear that you had an unhappy experience regarding the parking. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay nevertheless, and apologise for the wait time as there are many Covid regulations to follow. We do have Online Check-in available for Direct booking guests, which greatly reduces the wait time upon arrival. About the incident: We seek your understanding that the Hotel Management does not own the property, and the Landlord manages the Car park. As our slots are very limited, we prefer to be fair to all guests and have listed our property as a No Car park property on all store fronts (where possible). We also respond to all enquiries with the same information. We do however allow parking for Guests who are genuinely in need, who make their request to do so at the reception (i.e. for wheelchair access, emergencies, special circumstances, etc.). As you are aware, an incident report was filed immediately and the release fee was substantially reduced on the spot to a token sum, which we genuinely hope alleviated your frustration. We would however, like to iterate some facts (accurate as at the time of the incident and a few months before): 1. There are 2 signs indicating "Private Car park/Parking, No Unauthorised Parking" and 2 Warning signs indicating that it is a WheelClamping zone and that the release fee is $180. There are 1 of each of this within the Car park and on the pillar facing the road. 2. There is also a "RESERVED CARPARK" "OWNER (left arrow)" and "HANDICAP (rignt arrow)" on the main pillar within the carpark at eye level. 3. There are 3 traffic Cones, one on each slot, with NO PARKING signs in red prominently attached to them, and 4 metal pole barriers within our Car parking area. (If at any time these are down or not blocking the slot, it is generally because of a recent departure or expected arrival of an authorised vehicle.) We have revised our procedures to ensure that the staff reacts more quickly to replace the barriers. Otherwise, there is additional information of carparking spots available nearby (such as the SMU administration building car park right beside our property, less than a minute away), which can be found if our guests scan the QR code on the keycard sleeves. We would recommend that you do not park again along the road side of the SMU building in the future (as our CCTV records show, after the release of your vehicle) as it is not legal to do so. Our Guest services would also be happy to assist with further information at anytime. Thank you and stay safe!

First time stayed here and glad to have booked here after my friend recommendation. The room was as described in the website so we had not so much expectations of it, the room is clean and neat. Appreciate the little gestures of the hotel staffs to make our stay more memorable with the birthday decorations and NuVe Little Voyager setup for my kid too.

The hotel is very accessible to many tourist spots, shopping malls either by foot, MRT or public bus transport. We had an awesome stay here with all the friendly staff! Thank you for every services rendered during our stay!
