The Warehouse Hotel was built in 1895 along the Singapore River as part of the Straits of Malacca trade route. At that time, the area was a hotbed of secret societies, underground activity, and liquor distilleries. Today, while much of that history has disappeared, The Warehouse Hotel has been meticulously restored as a modern 37-room independent hotel, focusing on heritage and local culture. Open as of 2017, The Warehouse Hotel delivers thoughtful hospitality with historically-detailed rooms, classic local dishes and craft cocktails in the vibrant neighborhood of Robertson Quay. The Warehouse Hotel is a member of the prestigious Design Hotels portfolio. The Warehouse Hotel is a cashless property. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Amex, JCB, UnionPay, GrabPay, PayLah & PayNow.

Tried out the Warehouse Hotel, a hotel that I wanted to stay for a very long time but do not have the opportunity to do so until such time (most of the countries in Asia remain closed)

The hotel is located in Havelock area facing the river. Not all rooms are facing the river though as these are their premium rooms. The entry level starts from "Windowless room" hence you can only draw the light from the ambience lighting located in the room. The next room category is those where you have the "rooftop skylight", it is still windowless per se, but you can let some natural light sets in.

The room deco is minimalist and deconstructive. Rough cement wall with groove, iron beam, bronze work etc. They use Ashley & Co for their bathroom amenities, Nordaq refillable water and a B&O speaker placed at the bedside truly this gives the "Atas" feel, and pampering perhaps is the name of the game.

Carpark is limited, 6 official lots and another 4 unofficial and if you are driving and arriving late, it will be a challenge. Parking at nearby building is expensive if you were to park overnight.

Welcome drinks were offered as a token and you can order it anytime. There is a restaurant called PO, looked at the menu, it is pretty interesting twist from your "Grandma's" recipe.

There is a pool too, kind of a fish tank design using thick acrylic... Good for a dip. There are only 4 deck chairs. First come first served if you would like to catch some sun.

The hotel is a member of Design Hotels, part of Marriot. It depends on seasons, sometimes it can be expensive. It would be nice if the hotel can do away with the chargeable minibar and just place a few can drinks and snacks complimentarily. Who would pay exorbitant price nowadays especially the convenient store is just across the river. Experience and to allow guests to have more memorable experience should be the focus. Price of these peripherals can always be included in the entire hotel's pricing strategy.

Dear mav68, Greetings from The Warehouse Hotel! Thank you very much for visiting, and, taking time to write this review on Tripadvisor. It was truly a special privilege to have played host, and, a pleasure to be of service. We are extremely proud to have successfully married Singapore’s rich history & culture with high design, maximum comfort & superior hospitality – glad one found us to be ‘good’. For the benefit of all reading, our destination restaurant, Po - celebrates the diversity & richness of Singaporean flavors and pays tribute to the humble ‘Popiah’ – a staple of family gatherings and celebrations across generations, painstakingly created from scratch using traditional family recipes. Advance reservations are strongly recommended for the restaurant. Your feedback on price is much appreciated, and, in all seriousness, we will continue to keep challenging our value proposition to ensure we stay competitive & relevant. Once again, it was a pleasure to be of service and we look forward to the opportunity of welcoming you back in the not too distant future. Best, Tarun Kalra (Mr.) General Manager

I remember this building when I was a hospitality intern at the then River View Hotel (now Four Points by Sheraton Singapore, Riverview) years ago. It was part of that hotel, and has been re-purposed a few times, from a casual restaurant to a discotheque and now a hotel.

The hotel has a boutique feel and the lobby is impressive, very sleek with clean lines. With a vast expanse of space, the lobby holds the reception desk, seating spaces and a lobby bar. Look up at the ceiling and you can see cogs and wheels, very intriguing indeed. Off to the side of the lobby is the hotel’s sole restaurant, Pó. I love that bicycles are available for guests to use too, and they need only approach the reception desk to rent them.

The room I was assigned to is spacious with a high ceiling, what a luxury! It had choice pieces of furniture, but I am curious why the interior designer chose to have only one armchair in the room, instead of two. The black high beam above the bed is also a conversation piece. The hotel did away with miniature bathroom amenity bottles in the shower room, and instead has large refillable bottle amenities. I do suggest a change of toilet paper to one that is less course as it does feel like sandpaper.

Checking in was a breeze but I hope the hotel would consider a contactless check-in process soon. Not only is it convenient, but safer given the current situation. Generally, I am curious enough to orientate myself around the room, but I am certain some guests prefer if a room orientation is conducted for them. Nevertheless, the service rendered by the team members is excellent as they are polite and hospitable.

This hotel definitely gets my recommendation.

This is such an overdued review! This staycay was an anniversary treat from the husband and I couldn’t be happier when I saw the hotel he booked! ☺️

From the outside, it seems like a normal idyllic warehouse building along the river but when you step inside, the aesthetics just hits me straight. The intimate lobby/lounge was beautifully done in a rustic and industrial deco and every corner was “instagrammable.”

Check in was fast and efficient and special shout out to Ms. Elaine for welcoming us so warmly. She brought us to our room and it was another wow for us. If we thought the lobby was nice, the room truly outdid itself.
The Warehouse hotel only has 2 storeys, and our room was on the 2nd floor, overlooking the river. The River View suite was truly a gem of its own. The gorgeous room was modern, clean and spacious for the two of us. There was a huge standalone tub and the shower/bathroom was separated. (Plus point – there was a bidet which is perfect for Muslim travellers and the toilet seat was heated. No more cold bums for the late night toilet visits hah!)
There is also the B&O speaker for us to connect our device to and play chill music, and I was hooked to the local drip coffee packets that were provided! Love all the little details the hotel thought of for their guests.

There is a pool and because of safe distancing measures, we need to book a slot and I loved that we had the pool to ourselves. Pool is slightly small, but perfect for just the two of us. (Please remember to book your slot when you check in!) There was no gym but a run along the scenic river was enough to burn the calories off!)
If you want to ride along the river, there are 2 bicycles that you can borrow. Just ask the friendly staff.✌️

Everything about this stay was so perfect, and the room I stayed in was probably the most beautiful one I’ve ever stayed in, in all my travels.
Do yourself a favour, treat yourself and let all that stress go. Looking forward to staying here again!

Special mention and thank you again goes out to Ms. Elaine for helping my husband to arrange the flowers and the cake. It was truly sweet of you to go the extra mile!

Booked a 3D2N stay at Warehouse Loft via klook. The loft is actually not as big as it looks in the hotel's pics. Once we entered the room, it is really just like that. Warehouse Lofts come in 2 types and we got the glass block room as it's brighter with glass block windows to let daylight in but sadly there's no view. The room can feel claustrophobic at times and when lying on the bed, the ceiling's black beams can be quite intimidating.

The room we got was very dusty that it made our noses runny - there was dust on walls and tables when we first entered the room. We feedback to the front desk the next morning and appreciate that they sent housekeeping down to do a thorough cleaning while we were out for lunch.

What we like about the room were the decor, B&O speaker, local drip coffee packets (instead of usual nespresso), bath area. Hotel service was efficient and great. Breakfast at Po was good, we really enjoyed the pork ribs soup with charcoal youtiao! (= bak kut teh) The English breakfast was disappointing but I guess that's because Po is a Chinese restaurant so the asian dishes were nicer.

We didn't swim, we did explore the pool area and it looks underwhelming. There's no gym but the hotel has 2 bicycles for loan, no reservation needed.

Redeemed the complimentary cocktails at the Lobby Bar and used the food credits at Po. Better to make reservations at both prior to the stay to guarantee a table.

Overall, it was a nice getaway as we got to explore the night at robertson quay. But it's not that value for money as room rates are quite pricey considering the room size and lack of facilities.

The hotel is small and boutique, so it is unreasonable to expect all the services of a large impersonal business hotel. However, the style and service levels were excellent. The breakfast was freshly cooked, with a reasonable range of foods, and the location on the river at Robertson Quay meant that Chinatown was an easy walk for food. The reception staff were very good at calling taxis whenever we needed one.

The room was large, and the bathroom was excellent. The shower was superb, easy to operate and perfect hot water. I particularly liked the fact that the aircon was very quiet, and extremely efficient. The infinity pool was brilliant, and actually quite large bearing in mind this is Singapore, and a small hotel.

The reasons I didn’t give it four stars were firstly, that the lighting is very very poor. In the bathroom you can’t see to put on makeup or have a shave, which is awkward when you are going to business meetings. The other issue is that the bedside lights are so bad you can’t read a book without a torch! Oh, and the sockets by the bed didn’t work. On the other hand, the cocktails were some of the best I’ve ever had, and whilst I accept that’s not the ideal criterion by which to judge a business stay, hey, there has to be some consolation,

Disappointing. Hotel looks chic on the inside but void of service. front desk staff were helpful. No water was provided at the pool.

Housekeeping - I turned on the housekeeping request sign when I was out from 1150pm to 3pm but room was not cleaned up and I was told it is because they prioritised the check ins and hence deprioritised my room. We are talking about covid period where occupancy rate is much lower than before. After the room was cleaned there was no water and I was told they ran out of water.

For those with Platinum Elite(Marriott) status, its really not worth staying, cause they dun recognise or value this status at all.

It was like love on first sight when I was browsing around for my hotel stay and a small family lunch for my wedding day. After checking out many places, I went ahead with Warehouse Hotel and Po restaurant. When I checked out the hotel, my only thought was, so glad that I picked this place!

Specially thanks to Elaine and Gina from Po restaurant for helping me to plan the wedding lunch though it was a headache due to the capacity limit during this pandemic. Thanks for the many suggestions and prompt updates from the planning stage to the actual day. The ambience at The Den was like perfect for a small luncheon and the food was really good! Many praises for the Konbu Mee and the spring chicken! And the portion is so big that we can’t finish everything. And you can’t believe what I like the most about the drinks, it’s the tea that they served in the restaurant. The smell of the tea made the whole room scented with sandalwood and it just made the whole ambience even more comfortable!

Hotel service is top notch, just want to mention Tarun, Nadia and also Zoey. Their service is so professional yet friendly. Free drinks token were given in exchange of any alcoholic/non alcoholic drinks and they could even send up to your room. Although the room lightings were abit dark for my bridal make up, they were so willing to send more lamps to my room. Otherwise the room lightings are of very good ambient if you are just doing staycation. There is also bathtub in the bathroom and all the bathroom fittings were all of top notch brand. The only comments I have is the water from the bathroom often flow towards the basin area and it made the whole place wet. Hence, was asking for room cleaning at night and though the housekeeping is only until 7pm, they still help to do whatever they could to keep our room clean.

Overall, just want to say a big thank you to everyone in Warehouse Hotel for making my wedding such a wonderful one!

I have stayed at several hotels in Singapore and the Warehouse Hotel is by far my favourite!!!

The staff is incredibly kind, funny and thoughtful. Tarun and David make your stay as a guest absolutely wonderful. From making sure you like your coffee, adding thoughtful details to your breakfast, and making coming back to your room feel like a sanctuary :)

The Warehouse Hotel is in a fantastic location surrounded by good restaurants, cafes, running routes, and options to go for a stroll. The hotel itself has an excellent bar (try the golden age with saffron gin & vermouth) and restaurant, Po, that has the most delicious Singaporean food (great vegetarian options).

The lobby is one of my favorite parts, it is full of thoughtful details and a great area to relax to have a cocktail or read a book. The den which is part of the lobby is a great place to work from if you are travelling from work. The rooms are also incredibly comfortable and the high ceiling are a highlight which you rarely find in Singapore.

Always good to sit by the window watching robertson quay pass you by. I am reminded to occasionally just sit and stare, what a refreshing feeling!

The staff were friendly and accommodating it was very enjoyable for my little girl despite the rain as she ran around in her balance bike. When she played with the phone in room, the front desk spoke with her to tell her to go to breakfast in the morning, of course, we didn’t let her play after that.

Listened to the reviews before me to request for a room with window as the rain didn’t give us much to do besides staying in.

Dining in the room service, at Po for dinner and breakfast was delightful as their dishes were made with so much goodness. Loved the bak kut teh for breakfast my 4 year old ate heartily. Not the spicy soup of course, but the pork and rice. I believed they well marinated the pork ribs. And popiah was so fun we took the classic and my daughter enjoyed watching us make it even though she could barely finish one. Another worthy mention would be the char tou kway, my daughter didn’t like it but the adults ravished in the fresh crab meat given in huge portions.

It is amazing how they redesigned an original warehouse into so many interesting rooms and even had an infinity pool.

Haven’t given five stars for awhile, my family’s good experience makes it all deserving.

Stayed here with my husband for 2 nights. Great area with beautiful summer feels by the river. The hotel was really unique and homely with efficient housekeeping staff to attend to our ad Hoc requests.
Elaine and her team checked us in, gave us a pretty bottle of wine for our wedding celebration together with a handwritten card.
The bar is soo lovely, with a twist of the classic cocktails, and bar snacks are so unique. I especially loved the forbidden fruit cocktail- the special large cubed ice with no impurity and a slowness in melting, allowed for us to really taste the drink at perfect temperature without dilution.
Recommend this hotel to all couples who want to chill and unwind.

Greatest thanks to Elaine for welcoming us, teaching us about the history of the WAREHOUSE since early times to date.

Dear Jessicawonglt, Greetings from The Warehouse Hotel! Thank you very much for visiting, and, taking time to write this review on Tripadvisor. It was a true privilege to have had you stay with us, and celebrate a special occasion. We strive to consistently create unique, awesome & memorable experiences for all our guests, and, I am extremely happy that we successfully achieved this. Love the recognition you have given us, and, appreciate your recommendation to the wider Tripadvisor community. Happy to know that our Lobby Bar impressed. For the benefit of all reading, our bespoke cocktail menu at The Lobby Bar represents the 3 unique incarnations of the hotel space through its history – The Spice Trade, Godown era and The Warehouse Disco. Our cocktails are supported by a fine selection of Asian craft beers, spirits, wines and handpicked snacks from Po – our destination restaurant. Your special mention for our staff from cross departments (especially Elaine), who are always looking at ways to delight, is much appreciated. This recognition has been duly shared with the entire winning team for further encouragement. Once again, thank you for staying with us and we look forward to the opportunity of welcoming you back in the not too distant future. Best, Tarun Kalra (Mr.) General Manager

The doors are tinted and the toilet has a separate sliding door from the bed as well!

Dear Travel B, Greetings! The Warehouse Sanctuary rooms are designed windowless along with warm, ambient light to create an oasis of calm from the bustle of the city. Located on the ground floor of the hotel, each is fitted with a king-sized bed & ensuite bathroom. These rooms do not come with double volume ceiling heights. Some of the rooms have a small 'block glass window' which allows for minimal natural light to creep in. Best, Tarun Kalra (Mr.) General Manager

Is there a dress code for dinner?
Answer from Tarun K
Hi Passport795522, Greetings! Smart casual is good, and, with the tropical temperatures here - we welcome guests to wear shorts too. Lunch time is generally seen to be more casual. Best, Tarun Kalra (Mr.) General Manager
