Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I've booked at the peninsula because of its beachfront location and pool. As we arrived I've noticed the hotel/room was updated, not a big problem, but only until I've noticed it was poorly cleaned, or even not cleaned at all. The toilet sink and shower still had hairs, and dirty stuff stick to the tiles, wall... towels smelled bad, like dirty water used to wash them or place were they were kept with a bad smell. There was dust over almost all surfaces and under the bed, water kettle still had water from previous guests,... The pool water was not clear, nobody was using it. Although the staff cleaned the toilet after requested, everything else was still dirty. As we arrived with the Corona virus going on and being there with a young child I truly didn't felt safe or at least comfortable at all. The staff was nice, but it was not enough. We left after first night, from our 5 nights stay. Management agree with the refund of the last 4 nights. Pros: good location, right in the beach between station 3 and 2. It has a massage spa, pizzaria , grill and corean restaurant in the resort area. But with the lack of higiene presente unfortunately nothing else mattered, we had to leave.

Worst stay of our trip ( traveling Philippines, Bali and Malaysia), only good thing was the beach. Robbed for price, when there are loads better hotels for same price. Banging every night and when we complained they laughed and nothing got changed. Cannot go in pool as it is that filthy, staff didn't seem interested or even wanting to help. Our room had aircon that we struggled to sleep with due to how much noise it made, the walls were covered in splatted flies and wings, we had to sleep in leggings due to the amount of bites we got after the first nights sleep. Shower just turned on in the middle of the night, no plugs next to bed, had to unplug fridge to charge phone. Breakfast was horrible, definitely wouldn't go back!!!

we are the second time here as we like the location and the staff. in fact its a old hotel but they renovated partially the rooms at the last few month. not a perfect renovation but better then before even my sliding door was not working well and the light on the balcony was broken. the aircondition is not powerful enough for the room size but as they put the big bed near the aircon its acceptable. outside the hotel you have a shakey's restaurant and inside a korean restaurant just beside the pool ! its a beachfront hotel but its sad that they don't have beach beds and beach umbrellas. the WIFI is not perfect but better then before and the TV signal sometimes is poor. the breakfast is simple and only from 6 to 9 am so its not worth to get up early for the breakfast ! all in all its a middle class hotel at a nice location but if you like it quiet then you better take a room at the back otherwise its noisy because of the plenty tourists who passing by all the time outside as its right on the beach walk and near D'mall. anyway we will come back again and hope for further improvements by the nice owner !

I give it a because of the great value of this hotel. Right in the middle of Station 2 and only 5 meters from the white sands of Boracay. For about 100 usd you get a room with a balcony just a few meters from the beach. You don't even need to put on your shoes. The hotel has sun beds on the beach and you can refresh in their pool. The reason for the low prices is because it is a little old and worn out, but it's still great. The rooms are good size, with a queen bed and a single, fridge, Aircon and fan. Easy going and comfortable with a good shower. The place also has a buffet restaurant in the evenings for 350 pesos, which is a great deal. However, unless you come right when they open you will be eating gold food, I was amazed at the number of people that arrived after we had eaten and had no issues eating pork skewers, chicken curry or clams cold. Definitely recommended

A bit pricey but wd free breakfast, it's okay wd 3 beds in a room. Just walking distance to d beach. Fine dining adjacent n nearby stores. Nice ambiance, with swimming pool for kids just a step away. A table outside d rooms provides for street watching. Overall, typical 3 star hotel.

Great location, but seemingly low appreciation from staff and management (having a "bahala na..." "whatever..." attitude). With a little creativity, innovation and some investment this place could be made into a great place!... Cleaners and staff are very friendly, however they could be trained to also look up when cleaning the rooms. Everything below the waste is clean, when looking up creative spiders spun their webs and fluffy clouds of dust were watching us from the top of the cupboards...

People are accomodating, but the place needs upgrading, it hasnt changed since i was there 5 years ago. Nevertheless, it is still the cozy homy hotel ive known years ago . It is in the middle of the island so, getting to places you wanted to go is easy

Such a waste that the management seems to take the hotel for granted. It has great location, spacious rooms, but poor customer service. The rooms aren't super clean (especially the bathroom) while some areas aren't be friendly to your nose either. We chose this hotel out of urgency for some conference my mom had to attend. If we had enough time, we could have stayed somewhere better. PS. Don't ever try the Korean Restaurant inside the hotel. We don't really know if their chef really knows how to cook. It's that unpleasant. Correction: We stayed here in May 2012.

I recently stayed at the Boracay Peninsula for 2 nights on a bed & breakfast basis. The location of the hotel, which is on the beach front, is excellent, and all nearby shops and restaurants are easily accessible. One criticism I have about the location is that cars cannot park right in front of the hotel, meaning that there is a slight walk - not very good if you have to drag bags and suitcases. The rooms are OK - ours was very clean and had all of the basics (such as clean sheets, towels, TV, coffee/tea making facilities, etc), and the balcony is spacious. As per the comments of other reviewers, the air con is very weak, so it's almost pointless to switch it on. Bathroom is also spacious, but be careful of the toilets - ours kept getting blocked, so be prepared for a couple of embarrassing trips to reception to request to get this fixed. The breakfast, which is served from 7am - 9am, was lovely. There is a menu of Filipino and American breakfasts which you can choose from, and they are freshly cooked for you. I would highly recommend the Longanisa and rice combo! The swimming pool is very basic - there was no one in it for the entire time we were there! There are no sunbeds around the pool. All in all, it is not a bad hotel, but certainly isn't the best. If you are looking for a base to get changed and sleep for a cheap price, then I would definitely recommend the Boracay Peninsula.
