Detailed Reviews
We booked just a day before our flight to Boracay, the beachfront room was our top choice as we wanted to freely enjoy the view at any time of the day and Watercolors Boracay Dive Resort provided affordable rate among the hotels in Station 1. We stayed for over a week and had the best time to relax, unwind after the crazy wedding preps.
Me and my husband would like to thank Avel and the whole team for their warm welcome and outstanding service. We arrived in the afternoon and was served with Calamansi Ginger Juice and cold towels, we instantly felt refreshed. They also provided care kits which has mask, pocket tissue and alcohol spray, we used them during our stay. We even asked for refills and were given new ones. There’s an iPad in the room where the guest can send requests or queries and even order food from the restaurant. We’d also like to compliment the cleanliness and the scent they used for the room. It smelled a lot like spa. For the food, we had the complimentary continental breakfast during our stay, we love their French Press coffee and Calamansi Juice. Even the pandesal was tasty! We enjoyed having breakfast in the balcony. It was satisfying to eat while enjoying the view. They also prepared a simple surprise during my birthday, i was completely moved by their gesture. Can’t thank them enough.
We truly appreciate the superb care they offered from the time we checked in up to the day we left the island. Thank you for making our stay memorable! Will definitely be back soon 🙂

I stayed at Watercolours for 5 nights in April 2022 as a solo female traveller and I felt very welcome and safe. All the staff are really friendly and helpful (especially Lyn, Avel, Rolly, Metzi, Jasper) from serving drinks and breakfast, to organising trips, to just having a good chat - everyone wears a smile on their face and it so welcoming!
The resort is right on the beach and I stayed in a beachfront room, the balcony was perfect for afternoon relaxing. The air con worked really well, the bathroom was clean, lots of hot water, and a mini fridge so I could buy my own water and drinks.
The location is great if you don't want to be right in the middle of the hustle and bustle but only 5 mind walk away from Diniwid beach, the main part of White sands beach, and D mall where there is more food than you will ever need!
I did a fun dive with Jimmy which was great and he was so helpful and a decent price for all the equipment hire, we saw lots of underwater life and a turtle too.
Food and drink was well priced and the happy hour "party time" is a great way to unwind in the afternoon while watching some of the best sunsets I've ever seen without the immense crowds around you.
Overall - 100% recommend, will be back, and sad to leave!

Initially, I had planned to stay here for only two nights, but I decided to cancel my reservations in other hotels and extended my stay for a week instead. I was the first guest when they reopened last month. I felt that the hotel staffers, who were really nice, missed welcoming guests, so they poured all their hospitality and kindness on me.Â
I was a solo traveler looking for some peace and quiet amidst this pandemic. I was able to find a much-needed breather staying in this hotel. The rooms and amenities are well-maintained and cleaned. Its location is also perfect if you're looking for beachfront accommodation in Station 1, but it is close enough for you to enjoy what Station 2 has to offer and far enough from the crowds and busy alleys there. They also offer several options for breakfast and everything was nicely prepared.Â
I have to commend the hotel staffers who made my stay an amazing one: Ely, Avel, Teody, and Ritchel. You are all amazing! I miss Boracay and staying at WaterColors!

Me and my wife spent a couple of nights in Watercolors to welcome the new year and went back again for a few more nights before we ended our almost 3-week escapade in the island. The location of the resort is just fantastic - Station 1 beach front. Surrounding area is quiet, away from the crowd. We stayed at the room with a balcony where we had a good view of the water. You could just hear the calming waves especially at night. Our room also had a quick access to the lounge at the ground floor that also leads to the beach. Very convenient. We availed of the open breakfast for Php122 per person. I'd say it's worth it. Not fantastic but good. Reasonable serving, plated well and comes with coffee and juice. We also liked the fact that they have card games and board games that we enjoyed playing while waiting for our order. Lastly, I want to mention the staff who welcomed us warmly and gave us top-notch service. There is an iPad in the room that you can use make your requests. But it's also possible to just drop by the bar to personally talk to any of the staff who are more than willing to serve and share some chitchat.
Watercolors is an easy place to recommend. To Avel and the rest of the gang, MARAMING SALAMAT.

We couldn't really ask for more from our stay at Watercolors. The room has everything you might need: decent WiFi, six pillows (they provide you two extra for free!), good conditioning, a ceiling fan that kept the room cool if you didn't want to use the air-conditioner, a tub, a reliable hot/cold shower and tap, a fridge, a tv, a hair dryer, and all the personal amenities you need. They even very helpfully provide a universal adapter for charging your stuff.
The staff are all very friendly and so helpful and attentive. They can also lend you beach towels and a banig for use at the beach.
Location is top notch as well, your room will be a few meters away from the beach. You can wrap up a call at work and be swimming in the sea in a minute flat.
We stayed at a bigger room in a different 4-star hotel on our trip to Boracay, but honestly we wished we'd just stayed at Watercolors, we really had everything we needed here.

I want to start this review by thanking the Watercolors team! Honestly didn’t know what to expect since it was the first time I had been to Boracay and at a dive resort (especially for this - so cheap compared to other hotels). From booking to check-out it was always easy dealing with the Watercolors team! They were incredibly friendly, always attentive and on-calling willing to help all day and night. Honestly such a positive experience I had staying here.
Rooms:
I stayed in two rooms: the Penthouse and then the beachfront deluxe. Both rooms were spacious, clean and well equipped. The beachfront deluxe was so awesome with a balcony view of the pristine waters. You can literally wake up to the views and sounds of the ocean! The penthouse was a larger room situated on the (shared) rooftop. NOTE: Watercolors is an eco hotel so they won’t do a daily clean unless requested. Important to consider since you’ll bring a lot of sand back from being out in the beach.
Diving:
I did my open water certification at the hotel. It was so convenient as it’s all organised through the hotel and you just wake up and meet the instructor downstairs. Jimmy the instructor was so cool, helpful and patient! I had a great time getting certified and Jimmy gave loads of useful info for diving. Following my certification, I continued to do fun dives with Jimmy as my friend and I found the experience so good we didn’t feel the need to look elsewhere. Would highly suggest looking out for Jimmy if looking for dives in Boracay.
Service:
Quite simply the service is great at Watercolors. Everyone is so friendly and willing to help. From food recommendations to sorting out dives, all requests were met with a smile. Food is good there too.
Overall I’d HIGHLY recommend Watercolors to anyone visiting Boracay (especially to dive). It’s located in station 1 so away from the busy section, but not too far north. It’s a 10 minute walk down if you want to get into the area with bars.
5 stars!!

The hotel offered "free breakfast" but little did we know that they were just offering free bread and coffee. You had to pay more if you want a fulfilling breakfast. It isn't worth it, for 7,735/night the room is so cramp, very small. The Henann resort in Station 1 only charges P4,900/night for a big room already with BUFFET Breakfast. There are other hotels in the area with better free breakfast and sea view. You can try True Home (less than a minute walk from this place, only charges P5,500 per room with seaview and free breakfast as well), Zuzuni (only charges P4k-6k/night for a bigger room with seaview+free breakfast). The hotel owner is so greedy that they leeches off more money from their guests just because no one seemed to eat at their restaurant. We weren't aware that the reason they were asking for a P5,000 security deposit was just so they can milk off more money from you. Never again, very bad experience from this hotel. You also had to wait until 8am before they can start preparing your breakfast, which meant you have to eat around 20-30 minutes after 8am. So by the time you get to do your activities for the day, the sun is already up.
Our hotel room also had aircon problems, we informed the staff as soon as we get to our room, I followed it up twice but they never fixed it during our stay. They kept telling me they'd send a mechanic but they never did.

Our free continental breakfast includes a basket of assorted breads, butter & jam, fruit in season, egg cooked to your liking, slices of carrots, cucumber and tomato, our house juice - calamansi juice and choice of coffee or tea. Although we start our breakfast at 8:00 in the morning, we accommodate orders the night before and we are also open to early breakfast arrangement upon request in cases of early activities or early departure. That day, there were other guests who had ordered the night before, so we served them first but yours came immediately after. It is not fair to say that we milk or leech off the security deposit from the guests as it is returned on the day of check out. If ever the guests has room charges & incidentals, we always ask if they want to deduct it from this deposit or to pay through credit card and the full deposit returned. In your case, you did not receive the entire security deposit back because you chose to deduct your incidental bills. These information of what to expect are indicated in online platforms and resent via email upon booking. We also make sure that our rooms and services are competitively priced as we are after continued business and returning customers. Apologies for the a/c issue as we thought it was resolved. Our staff/maintenance immediately checked the air con and saw that the remote was only set in fan mode. He fixed the setting and showed you the problem. He also asked you to just inform us if there would be any other problems, but as the day/s passed, we did not receive any more complaints. Our housekeeping staff also kept monitoring the temperature in your room upon tidying and turning down. In any case, we apologise for what were our shortcomings and whatever caused the mismatched expectations or miscommunication. We always learn from reviews, good or bad, and from this, we see the need for even better communication and follow up on our guests’ satisfaction, again and again, during the stay.

Beachfront deluxe was a great room. Easily accessible and has a good view of the beach. The bed and pillows are comfortable. Aircon is working, ceilang fans installed. Cabinets need update though - cabinets under the mirror kept on opening. It is a plus that they have a full size mirror. 😊
Penthouse is good but if we have a choice we'd choose the beachfront deluxe. The bed is facing the roadside where you could see the ongoing construction of the basketball court. The actual room has access to the rooftop bar but I think it is not operational at the moment. Though you can use that area to lounge for a while. At the time of stay, TV was not working even if it was visited by technician.
For both rooms, since they don't have a phone, you communicate via Imessage and it takes time for them to read and respond to the message/request that you sent.
Complimentary breakfast was just okay. We only comsumed 1 breakfast during our 2 day stay. It was composed of bread with butter and jam, 1 pc of egg, 1 slice of mango (a bit sour), 3-4 sticks of carrots, coffee and juice. There's an option to upgrade the breakfast but you need to decide immediately upon check in. It would be better if it can be done a day before the actual breakfast.
Excellent staff though. Everybody greets you and has a smile to offer (especially Ms. Lyn and Kuya Rolly). We were also given coffee upon arrival at 8 am. Early check in at around 1 pm (standard is 2 pm) was allowed. On our last day, we were only able to transfer to our new room at around 1 pm, too.
On our last day, we looked for a tip box but they don't have it because they said they do not want customers to feel obliged to give against their will.

I came to the Philippines for a wedding in April 2023 and planned a few island excursions, including Boracay. I traveled there on my own and wanted to find something quiet on the beach where I could just chill for a couple of days. Watercolors helped me to book an airport / ferry transfer and upon arrival to the property the staff was the friendliest I've ever met at a hotel establishment. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was comfortable and recommended things to do. The location in Station 1 is perfect - steps from the beach, where it is much quieter than further down by the D mall. I ate at the restaurant there for most meals as well and the food was pretty decent. It's walkable to most places on the beach strip which was a plus too.

My love in boracay lead me to visit the island twice a year since 2010 (except 2020 during the lockdown) Whenever I look for a new accommodation, I always check the hotel reviews; except for this one in watercolors because pictures and videos are very limited to feel my judgement to stay in this never heard haven. But mind you, it was beyond our expectation. We stayed in their penthouse room for 9 days and 8 nights, the said facility is the biggest among their rooms and it has access to their roof deck where view of the beach front from the lounge is amazing. Its best for people who work from the hotel. The internet connection is superb. But most of all the people in watercolors are the warmest & fantastic. We felt that we are at home during the period of our stay. They accommodated all of our request without hesitation and even doing an extra mile. They always greeted us anytime, anywhere which we felt overwhelmed how they treated every guest they have. I will definitely go back here. If youre looking for an exceptional place to stay? Watercolors is the best Idea.

Kalibo airport is around 2 hours away from Boracay. You would need to take land transport for 1 hr / 45 mins to get to Caticlan jetty port, then take a 15 to 20 minute boat ride from Caticlan jetty port to Boracay jetty port.
Caticlan Airport is only a 5 minute land transport to Caticlan jetty port, then 15 to 20 minute boat ride from Caticlan jetty port to Boracay Jetty port.
Our rates are exclusive of transfer, however, we may arrange transfers either from Kalibo airport or Caticlan Airport for you with our transport provider. Thanks!
We do not have pool but we are located right on the beach. We had a guest who even said (as a joke) that during high tide our beach lounge should be called "swim up bar".
