The location is relaxing and indeed giving a nature vibe. The room and its details was cozy. Breakfast served was good in general except for the ham and fresh juice that is more on water than the fresh fruit. The dessert sent in the rooms daily was a kind gesture. The staff in general are excellent,they have the pure hospitality and respect for guests. Shout out to all the staffs for their hard work, dedication and passion in rendering service especially to the following staffs:

Mr. Salil the Operation Manager was really very nice,friendly and approachable. We are thankful for Mr Salil for letting us experience the really so called "laid back luxury".
Aside from the location and ambiance It is actually the service of people who made an effort to make it a " laid back luxury".
The wifi is unstable and needs to improve. The food served sometimes not worth it with the price( extremely overpriced the taste of international cuisine was just fair to Average) they are more specialize I think in Filipino cuisine as it was good.
We we're not informed about that we were not allowed to use the front beach chairs as its private so we ended up disrespected by other guest. I was insulted for something I was not even aware of or informed. I suggest for more chairs in front of the beach for everyone.I think everyone who stays have the right for access even just a small chair or table to keep their stuff.
Despite these we still had a good time and unforgettable beautiful memories in your resort.

We have never stayed at such a beautiful location, total paradise, you feel you are literally away from all the hustle and bustle of life, relaxing, idyllic a place you will remember forever. All the staff literally cannot do enough for you, they are so kind. The food was delicious, and catered for our challenging food intolerances. It’s such an adventure, you are met at the airport by taxi and seamlessly taken to port and transferred by boat to the island, then helped from boat to shore. Your bags are carried by the very strong staff and delivered perfectly to your room. The views from the rooms will stay with you a lifetime. Thank you Cauayan island Resort ❤️ missing you all already

We had an absolutely wonderful 5 night stay with my wife and our 20 month old toddler. The staff was incredible and knew us by name and the level of service is truly 5 stars and special. It’s not the easiest place to have a toddler as it’s quite remote so it’s not particularly child friendly although they do have high chairs and whole milk for purchase. They did provide babysitter services while we went on a speedboat tour so that was absolutely great. Food is exceptional which was surprising, particularly the Filipino food (which also seemed to be the cheapest). Being on an island, you are paying expensive prices for everything since they have to import everything. The natural beauty of the resort was astounding, and even better than the photos. Room was in pretty good shape and very close to the beach (beach view room). Island hopping tours are much more expensive than what you can arrange in el nido town.
Boat transfer was a little dicey because of the dock they use which I didn’t expect at this price point but staff did a good job. You essentially have to climb a steel ladder while standing in a wooden box on a floating platform. Would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues. They did a good job of transfer for our toddler, however.
Would highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Palawan!

My wife and I were lucky enough to stay here for 7 nights in February. We've stayed in some wonderful places together and have been lucky in that regard also. Cauayan Island Resort stands out as the best place we've ever been.
The staff here are exceptional and provide wonderful service. The food is great, with dozens of options on the lunch and dinner menus as well as a host of special private dining options. But really this is all about the setting. This is the most beautiful resort I can remember ever seeing. It occupies a large island that's the last in a cluster off the coast of El Nido. Having been around most of those islands now, I think it's the best location for a resort in the area, given the ability to dock at both the front and the back whilst getting a totally clean view from the beach each evening.
The very best part of our trip was the Bukal Dinner, where you get taken to a private island by boat (~20 minutes by speedboat, which feels like you're in a James Bond film!) and have a private chef and butler for the evening. I still can't wrap my head around how good this experience was, it was truly unforgettable. I think it's the best thing my wife and I have ever done together. It does come at a price, but if you can, I can't recommend it enough and can promise you'll never look back on your choice.
The spa is another highlight of the resort. We both went for 120 minute massages a couple of times and loved them.
Last recommendation will seem totally random but seriously, try the Wagyu burger at the poolside bar. Can't believe Cauayan Island Resort also makes the best burger I've ever had haha

Long time no reviews, but now Covid is behind us we can travel once again.
It's easier to write about what's not perfect about this place, and if I did that there would be nothing to write.
I loved Cauayan resort, peaceful and tranquil, excellent staff, excellent food, excellent housekeeping, everything was perfect, my wife especially loved the pillows, even other visitors children were well behaved, it must be something in the water!
Getting there can be fun depending on the tide and weather, disembarking from the boat onto the island can also be interesting, those who have been will know what I mean, but it's part of the experience, but once ashore all is peace and tranquillity.
WIFI was generally very good, we had a down period of about three hours one morning, but that was not an issue. The WIFI is good enough for downloading Netflix/SkyGo to a tablet without any issues. There are Firesticks attached to the TVs in the villas that are setup for Netflix, we did not use them as we just plugged in our own. The air conditioning in our room was very good; they also supply two large bottles of water everyday. The rooms also have a Bluetooth speaker should you wish to pair it to your device but to be honest why disturb the peace. There is music played to the public areas around the pool, bar and restaurant but it's not obtrusive and the music choice is pretty good and I'm in my sixties.
Someone recommended the Wagyu burger, I'd also recommend the Pizzas and the steak, both amongst the best I've ever had, and don't get me started on the breakfast pastries; fortunately it appears I did not gain any weight!
We've stayed in a number of '5 star' resorts, this one should be a six and is excellent value. A shoutout for Liza and Red, just two of the many members of staff that made this holiday one to remember. We rarely go back to the same resort/hotel but we might just make an exception in this case.

This is a very special resort that I couldn’t recommend highly enough! From the greeting at the airport right through to every part of your stay here you are taken care of and made to feel so relaxed and pampered.
Being a private island and only 30 rooms, you genuinely feel like you can switch off from the world, chill out and get some much needed “me” time.
The quality of the resort is superb, the bedrooms extremely well appointed and comfortable. The pool is an oasis, the bar and restaurant menu choice and standard excellent. Breakfast, lunch and dinner meals were all fantastic.
I definitely recommend doing the “Happy Day” special offer of unlimited drinks from the bar for a reasonable set price, it’s very good value for money. You can start from 6am and enjoy iced coffees and juices, a good wine selection, beers and exceptional cocktails.
The team who run this resort are unparalleled. They all genuinely care, are highly skilled, well trained, knowledgeable, are very polite and friendly, and show real passion and enthusiasm. Big shout out to Mak, Maynard, Vincent, Christian (Superman!), Red, Nick, Karl and Jay - Maraming Salamat guys for making our stay so perfect and enjoyable!

Where do I start, if your reading my review to decide if you want to stay here or not, think no further. This is an absolutely amazing Resort. The true meaning of hospitality and customer service. I did the same thing, kept on ready the reviews but then finally decided to just book it and see how it turns out. The most adventures part is the arrival and departure- bouncing on the jetty the floats with the waves, could be a bit challenging for the elderly, but than I had my nephew on crutches and he managed. I thing the best part was that we arrived after sun down and didn’t know what to expect. They change there welcome drinks depending on the weather and the time of the day, it was twinning so we got warm towels and hot chocolate. The rooms are very well appointed, except if you are planning to share the beach front bungalows with someone your not intimate with, then book a different room because the shower has no privacy. We were all boys so it was fine. The attention to detail this hotel provides is amazing, and I truly mean this- from a person who works in a hotel myself. We were three, and they made sure to have all amenities in three sets. The beds are very comfortable and spacious. Very nice and clean linen. We purchased the all inclusive at arrival, and boy we really made use of it. My nephews were in food coma every time. We went to the restaurant. The food is delicious and fresh. Drinks are amazing, bar manager made sure to always check on us. Salil, you staff is truly amazing at the restaurant. We booked a day tour and happened to be just us in the boat that day. Imagine a boat with a capacity of 34 reserved just for 3 and 4 staff. Had a blast snorkeling, island hopping and not forgetting the fresh bbq lunch. The resort is remote from other islands, so if your seeking privacy, this is the spot. I also wanna add how accommodating the staff are, my nephew had to work for two nights while we were there, the IT we very quick on fixing any WiFi issues, they offered us the meeting room for him to use for privacy and better internet. I could write a lot more, but I have to stop. I will definitely be back.

You will not regret your stay at Cauayan Island Resort. From the moment that you are picked up at the airport, you can tell that luxury awaits.
The location is absolutely breathtaking. You can tell when new guests arrive as they all have the look of awe on their faces. One day we spent the entire day (10am-3pm) sitting on loungers by the pool. Pure bliss!
The rooms are immaculate. Clean, beautiful…includes everything you could need/want (safe, robes, flip flops, hair dryer).
The service is impeccable. From the restaurant staff to the bar staff, turn down service, housekeeping, activities and front desk staff. This resort is run like a well-oiled machine. All you know is that your every wish is being tended to.
The food is delicious and there are tons of options. If you want Filipino delights, they have it (shout out for the lumpia which we had twice). Seafood, steak, burgers, even nachos. We had a wide variety and it all was amazing! Portion sizes are huge. One day we even split our meal because we always had food left over.
During our visit we were able to enjoy massages in the relaxing/luxurious spa (we both consider it the best we’ve ever had). Imagine a massage looking down at the waves.
We did a full-day island hopping tour complete with a speed boat to ferry us around, very knowledgeable tour guide, drinks and lunch on a beach included. Snorkeling was so much fun as was just soaking in a peaceful lagoon. These islands are truly paradise.
We also did a secluded island dinner. We took a boat to a nearby island where it was setup so beautiful with flowers, candles, music and our table. Seeing it nearly made me cry. There are no words to describe how gorgeous and romantic. The small staff was inconspicuous while we had our romantic time alone. Worth every single penny (peso?) and we will always remember it.
If you can’t tell by now, you should absolutely book here. I researched online social media and didn’t find a lot and since there were a couple lower reviews, we were tentative. But I’m here to say, you will not regret staying here. We will definitely be back!

The first thing to say about this resort is that the photos - despite being very beautiful - do not reflect how beautiful the resort and the island are, which is a marvel that you can spend hours looking at... As for the food, great. It took us a little while to realize that there was much more on the menu than the first part, which is more Western, and the rest of the menu was very varied and super good. We were only there for five days and we didn't have time to try many things that seemed very appetizing. The breakfast was also great, with a sufficient variety of everything and a corner that I especially loved where each day they varied dishes of stewed meat in different ways, potatoes and sausages that were also stewed.
The staff were charming and very concerned - sometimes excessively so - that you were well, that you had the table you liked the most, that anything that caused you the slightest discomfort would disappear.
The owners of the resort, a charming Spanish couple who have managed to create a special atmosphere on a magical island.

We love Cauayan Resort and can’t wait to one day return! The first day it was unfortunately raining and windy so we weren’t able to take a boat to the island where Cauayan resort is. However, the resort still had transportation waiting for us at the airport and had arranged a hotel nearby in El Nido. The next morning we were picked up and taken to the pier to meet the Cauayan boat that took us to the island the resort is on. It felt like a movie, I’ve traveled all over and have never seen anything like it. The entire hotel is breathtaking, clean and well kept up. Looks like it’s straight out of a movie! Our villa was over the lagoon in the perfect location close to the beach and bar but still very secluded. Overall the room was beautiful and spacious. The beds were very comfortable and the housekeeping staff left us the sweetest honeymoon message on our bed cut from leaves. It was so special! What made our experience even better was the people working at Cauayan. They were so helpful, always made sure we were taken care of, very kind and remembered our names! JB was one of the servers who really stood out and his attention to detail was impeccable. We were sad to leave JB at the end of our two days at the resort!
