Love this place. Not a modern concrete and glass hotel. Old style charm and free sunsets. Staff is outstanding. Will return when the world comes back to its senses. Great location. Beach is 30 steps outside your room. Tours pick you up at the front desk.
First and foremost, I would like to thank the staff for the awesome accommodation that they gave us during our stay from March 9-12. Let me categorize my review: ROOM- previously we booked the doublegem coral view beach front family garden (PAY ATTENTION TO THE NAMES OF THE ROOM) - Booked 3 rooms for the fam but ended up disliking since they were too dark and the bathrooms were not updated and at par on my choice. So, we ended up telling this to the front desk staff and they were very helpful to find us rooms to our liking. We picked the BEACH FRONT OCEAN VIEW, 3 ROOMS (1 triple and 2 couple rooms). The rooms have great or sorry EXCELLENT SUNSET VIEWS! Also, the rooms were more updated compares to our first choice. We ended up just paying for upgrade fee. The rooms are nice but my common complain are the black ants. For some reason, they could get in the rooms quickly even after cleaning was done. But no biggie, I still love the rooms esp the view. FOOD/Restaurant- Breakfast buffet! Yes and its always different day by day. They even have live cooking of pancake or eggs of choice. Very nice service indeed! The restaurant serves yummy doublegem pizza and delicious lunch! Oh, they also have happy hour for cocktail drinks. Shout out to their kapampangan cook. My mom still cannot forget your delicious pinakbet! Amenities- we werent able to see the gym but the best one is the infinity pool. It's big and clean! They even have basketball and volleyball areas. They have a hammock too were you can just relax. My thing though, they really need to trim down the branches of the coconut trees thats close by the pool and resting areas outside. My brother in law and sister almost had an injury after a coconut branch fell off them while they sat at the hammock. Luckily, they lightly missed it. Other services- we booked two day private tours through them. The Lovelyn tours were awesome esp our tour guide kuya Erwin and the other crews. They were all extremely knowledgeable and helpful during our needs on the tour. Staff- there were so many names I would like to mention. ALL WERE PLEASANT AND ACCOMMODATING. I'd say all of them! From the front desk then to the restaurant crew, they will make sure your stay will be mostly enjoyable. Thanks doublegem! My family had the best moments with you guys during our stay in El Nido!…
Loved our family room and all the amenities that came with it however very disappointed that we paid for large family room (not cheap) that accommodates 6 (only 5 of us stayed), breakfast is just for 2! Breakfast is always the same everyday, the staff though is friendly and accommodating. We were promised to have coconut welcome drinks as part of our package as we have paid for an upgrade as our original family room booked on the internet was not as expected..these were never given even after 5 days stay as their excuse was no one can climb and get them for us! Overall, the three stars given here is for the room and staff in the resto and location of the property.
You never which place is the best in EL Nido. Anywhere is good and bad. Here we had tours from the hotel, but we used a tricycle to eat in the town as nearby I could not find decent choices of grilled seafood. Our room was next to the road and there was some noise from time to time. The view from the hotel is good but every hotel nearby has the same one. Breakfast is good without being marvellous. They cleaned the room but there were mosquitoes in it and there is a rundown feeling to it. It is a safe place where you will have no issues but maybe not a one to never forget. For the price range it is Ok and I do not think you should spend more in this town as the whole feeling is more exotic than relaxing or luxurious.
Look no further this place has it all. The staff are simply amazing the restaurant standard is incredible. The pool, the rooms, the service is awesome. Try to get a bungalow... it is well worth the extra few coins. Locally owned and managed too which is a bonus.
