Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO THIS AWFUL OWNER. At lunch we were treated to him berating his employees simply because they threw out a piece of paper by accident. Moments after, he kicked a dog. We confronted him and he quickly cursed at us, aggressively walked up to my face and threatened my wife and I. It caused a second very ugly scene for anyone within ear shot. Furthermore, there is no microwave nor iron, the WiFi is awful, beach chairs are worn/uncomfortable, you have to pay for the water, no credit cards accepted even though on the hotel description it says they do, and no listed hotel phone number. You have to first email someone and then they reply with a phone number to call that took 8 attempts to connect. Luckily our previous hotel owner from Mansion Buenavista told us to make sure they know we are coming because the walk from the road to the resort is 0.5m of sand, awkward stairs without railings, and no other way to access. You absolutely need help carrying your luggage. And there’s no warning about this anywhere. You’ll be treated to musty rooms, never dry mismatching towels, bars on the windows, and inability to adjust shower water temperature just to name a few of the room features. stay at Mansion Buenavista instead!

Right on the beachfront with spectacular view of the islands, mountains and sunset. All the staff, the housekeeping, receptionists, restaurant workers gave their best to make their guests comfortable and relaxed. The location is perfect, away from the crowd but still a short walk to transportation hub if you want to go downtown. I got scammed by Don Villanueva, but the resort took a big hit just to honor the obligations made by that scammer and allowed us to stay for 4 nights. 5 Stars for Las Cabanas Beach Las Cabanas Beach Resort

Only had 2 nights in El Nido and my parents got sick while on travel. I volunteered to cancel the family's booked island tour so I can take them to the doctor but my mom wouldn't have it! I asked Hazel, the hotel manager, is she could arrange for 2 people to take my parents to the doctor. Not only did she take them to the doctor herself but also arranged for a boat transfer so my parents didn't have to walk. Secondly, the staff was ever so nice and helpful, food tasted good, and ambiance took you away to true tropical experience. Only negative is the location because you'll need to walk on sand back and forth, not recommended for people with health issues. Overall a great stay. I would definitely recommend and will stay longer next time.

If you're visiting El Nido make sure you spend time at this wonderful resort. Our accommodation was in El Nido town but we decided to take a day out for some relaxation. Ensure you speak to the lovely Hazel, who will give you details of an amazing day package, which includes lunch, snacks and dinner. Transfer, Kayaking, Zipline, 30 minute massage are also included for a very reasonable price. We literally Ziplined into the resort (almost)! The beach and pool on the beachfront are beautiful and the sunset is not to be missed. In the evening they lit a beach bonfire which just added to a very romantic dinner setting. I simply can't recommend Hazel and Las Cabanas Beach Resort enough. It really was the highlight of our stay in El Nido.

The customer service from this resort is terrible and our stay was not even close to how they advertise their resort. Every time we voiced a concern, they would say they would correct it, but actually did not.

Whatever you do DO NOT book dandal bay view inn... I paid for three nights and left after the first... Ants in my room, in my bed, zero-star hotel with the most unhospitable staff I have experienced in 45 years of travelling the Philippines. No one even bothered to ask me why I was checking out after one of three nights! Just terrible!

It was a long awaited family vacation and it was a dream come true…the place is so amazing. The rooms are clean but the shower has too little water and no heater. The restaurant has a good ambiance as well as the beach side and food, except for the management - because the villa is a family owned and has separate owners so the communication is not well organized but the staff is very accommodating. Amenities like the tours is fine and so the places we went is exceptional. So far it was a memorable experience for us and our family and our foreign guest.

VERY DISAPPOINTING. We paid $200USD/night (10,800 pesos) for this dump. There is no direct road access to the hotel. After being dropped off at the shopping district, you then have to walk 800metres on the beach to get to the hotel. When we got to the hotel and checked in we were then informed that there is no running hot water, you have to ask the maid for hot water to be brought to the room in a thermos flask to then you mix in a bucket and pour on yourself when you take a shower. The wifi is horrible, and phone internet cover is very poor. The room stunk of very strong disenfectant and some room deodorizer which we couldn’t get rid of (very chemical smell it was vommit inducing). On the first day we arrived we asked the manager if we could do some laundry, and they obliged. The laundry was wet and smelly when we went to Pick up two days later. They had to redo. We purposefully gave the laundry well in advance of our departure to give them time to dry but when I went to pick the laundry up the day before our departure date, they were wet! Also they likely calculated the cost of the laundry (based on weigh kg) on the wet laundry as well! They had no milk for my tea at breakfast when I asked they said they “sold out of milk” haha! What a joke. There was no soap in the room when we arrived, and was never stocked the whole time we where there, and the complimentary shampoo was some cheap bulk buy stuff from the local grocery. -They didn’t change the towels when we left them on the floor(usually the universal sign that we’d like fresh towels) they just picked them up and hung them over the back of the chair together, which didn’t even allow them to dry properly. If this place charged maybe $35-50 USD a night I could understand the poor service, poor communication and very poor quality room, but they are charging top dollar and not delivering. Do yourselves a favour, avoid extreme disappointment and do not book this total rip off place.

I personally did not have a good experience at this place. From dragging my luggage all the way from the McDonalds' until I reached the resort (since the resort doesn't have access to the main road) nor there was someone at the main road to offer carrying luggage service, to not having power the entire night I stayed there. I ended up sleeping in the chair that was in the balcony since I couldn't get the fan working as the generator was running. Also, the shower didn't work so I used the cold water and the bucket to take a shower. Absolutely not what I expected to get for $170 (US Dollars) a night. while my friends paid half of the price at Lime Resort El Nido that exact night and had AC running in their room all night long. One last thing, they couldn't get my laundry done the same day even though I had it turned in before 11 am. I checked out of the hotel at noon the next day and they still hadn't done my laundry, I had my friends pick my laundry who checked out two days after I did.

Conveniently tucked away in the corner of the sunset beach viewing area. Very cute-looking lodgings. They are simple, spacious, and clean! The staff is really accommodating to your needs and great with children. They were also great at organizing activities or tours for their guests- making it a non-stressful and straightforward process. The only things needing improvement are the food, electricity and internet connection: the food is delicious but the meat dishes were always a bit tough to chew. There is usually a loss of electricity a couple of times a day- which can make sleeping at night time uncomfortable. However, the facility is managing this with a generator and we were told that they are looking at replacing it with a bigger generator. The wifi connection was not the best- which can be frustrating if traveling with children, if needing to log on for work and if using social media apps to talk with family members in the Philippines or overseas. Overall, the stay was ok.
