Myself and my friend booked into Frangipani for 3 nights and we really enjoyed our stay
The hotel only has a small number of rooms so you really feel like you are there on your own and it’s not crowded at all
The staff and extremely attentive and very helpful with arranging additional activities like massages and the paddle boards
The food is excellent and the chefs cook it fresh in front of you. The menu had a wide selection for all meals throughout the day - we ended up eating dinner here most nights
The rooms were very clean and comfortable. They were also spacious enough and had a nice big bed
The bar area at the top of the hotel was our favourite spot to have a quiet drink and watch the sun go down
Overall we really annoyed our stay and would recommend to friends and family to stay here if in El Nido

My family and I went to El Nido for a few days and we stayed in Frangipani Hotel El Nido. The hotel is a beautiful boutique hotel with only 7 rooms. We really enjoyed the hotel rooms - the outdoor balcony with a Hayes ceiling fan, the great bed with nice pillows, cold aircons, great room amenities (safety box, nice shampoo/soap/conditioner, 3-ply tissue, good towels and bathrobe, fruits, nespresso coffee, tea, free face masks and Mia Maison diffuser.
Breakfast at the hotel restaurant Cala Cafe is also really good and filling.
We appreciate the free airport shuttle service.
We also enjoyed the massage services.

I rarely leave reviews for a hotel and after staying at Frangipani, I felt compelled to because how amazing the stay was. There are many things that stand out in this property including the room design, the views, the restaurant and cleanliness but by far the best part was the staff and service. The staff is exceptional. Angie at the front desk was communicative from before my trip started until it ended. She organized our complimentary airport transport both ways and ensured we had activities planned throughout our short stay. The staff in the restaurant was extremely attentive, always had a smile on their face and always rushed to open any doors for guests. The staff is trained extremely well and it really elevates this property to the next level. There are only 7 rooms which makes you feel very taken care of. The restaurant and bar has an amazing view of the beach. The rooms have great air conditioning and clean bathrooms. Spacious bedrooms and spacious bathrooms as well as the shower. In-room massages were excellent and well worth the prices. Breakfast was one of my favorites and is complimentary. The location in my opinion is perfect - a short tricycle ride away from the city and nearby beaches, 20 min from the airport, far enough from the city to feel private and quiet at night, but close enough to visit the louder areas. This property deserves more recognition and I imagine they will be getting a lot more attention as travel continues to increase post-pandemic. I cannot recommend this property enough to guests from any country staying in El Nido. This is truly a one of a kind boutique hotel.

We had such high hopes for this boutique hotel - photos look incredible and the reviews were great. Sadly, these did not match the experience we had. This was our last stop in the Philippines and we have left raving reviews for all other accommodation!!
On arrival the hotel offered a complimentary taxi service, which was booked weeks in advance. When we got to the airport, the van driver decided to instead take paying guests to another hotel, leaving us stuck at the airport. We phoned the hotel and they said we should wait for the next taxi, which arrived 40 minutes after the booked time!
The hotel does have amazing views from the bar, restaurant and rooms however the hotel itself is tired and shabby with broken fixtures throughout, and construction materials tainting the look of the beach front (see photo).
Staff weren’t particularly helpful - they didn’t acknowledge the long wait, and multiple requests were left ignored. For example, there is only one small chair on the balcony, when asking for another they said they would sort this and then we heard nothing else. The WiFi was also down on arrival and despite telling us they would let us know when it was back, we again never heard from them. We checked everyday and once it was working again, it didn’t actually cover the bedroom or restaurant, so could only be used in the small front office space.
Whilst we thought this would be a small boutique hotel, the loud children at breakfast make it less enjoyable/romantic. Paired with an hour wait for food, it wasn’t the best start to the day, delaying our boat trip, however the breakfast itself was delicious! Wouldn’t recommend the nachos as a snack though - stale and cheap (see photo)!!!
Given the price we paid, we have found much nicer and more affordable accommodation in the town centre, so would recommend looking around before booking!

If it were not for the very steep High season pricing we would have given this cute "bed and breakfast" a higher rating. It is a charming place with very lovely views especially the Panoramic Suite, large and comfortable, with outdoor seating and a spectacular view of the sunsets every night. It is unfortunate that the living room window was unwashed, in fact streaked with dirt, completely unacceptable when preparing for the high season or any season really. The positives first...Zenobia and Emm at the front desk are two real gems who work very hard to make things run smoothly and do their best to accommodate guests. The other staff are mostly young and eager but inexperienced and some spoke rather limited English. Everyone was sweet and meant well. That is fine if you are charging 2 or 3 star prices but at rates that are higher than a Club Floor Suite at the Peninsula Hotel in Manila, get your act together. I do not fault the staff, the place is poorly managed. There is virtually no housekeeping other than making the bed, (even that was forgotten one day), confused and inconsistent service at the in house restaurant, staff are not empowered to make decisions on the spot, always need "to check" with their supervisor or manager for requests, etc. Additionally, the relationship with El Nido Yacht Club seems to be primarily to sell private tours...a request for group tour resulted in my having to organize my own group. To be fair they do provide a much higher level of service than the other tours but don't expect much help putting together a group tour with them. El Nido itself is lovely but deserves only a few days at most. There are the island hopping tours which quickly feel repetitive and 3 vey nice beaches on the mainland. For us 6 days was one or two days too much. In summary we liked El Nido and the team at the Frangiapani for their sweetness and friendliness but felt that for the prices they are charging they need to deliver a much better and more professional product with service that justifies the price.

We had planned to spend just under a week in this place, on the occasion of our honeymoon.
We decided to leave this property after only one night as the room was in a pitiful condition.
Some of the most serious things we found: stained sheets, mattress covers dirty with yellowish liquids and hair, cobwebs on the bathroom walls ..
After showing the room to the hotel staff and disgusted by the dirty conditions in which it was we manifested the request for a refund and early check out. The staff was very rude and denied us a refund.
What is even more serious is that we have blocked the hotel with Booking, which likewise denies any responsibility and does not take responsibility for refunds, despite the fact that the same hotel on the Booking page has a description of the rooms that does not correspond to reality.
We will be forced to proceed legally.
I absolutely do not recommend this place that despite everything asks for a fairly high nightly figure (when compared to other facilities in the area).
Stay away from this “hotel”!!!!

We stayed here 4 nights and had a pretty good time. Its located on Corong-Corong beach which is about 3km from town and much quieter. The beach itself is not great for swimming or walking along due to rocks and pebbles but is nice for looking over the water.
The hotel has few rooms (I think 9) so its not crowded. Our room was on the ground floor overlooking their small pool. The room was quite large with a large bathroom too. Tye hed was comfortable and the sheets soft and nice. They provided refillable glass bottles for drinking water.
The restaurant served breakfast and other meals and they had a bar just above it. We had a couple dinners at the restaurant which were okay. Drinks at the bar were good. Service in all the places as well as the reception was excellent in terms of being helpful, friendly and prompt.
The only improvements I suggest to them are - replace the clothes stand in the bathroom with an enclosed wardrobe to allow for keeping clothes properly, install more towel hooks and rings in the bathroom and give the entire place a fresh coat of paint

I booked a 10 day stay at the Frangipiani. Reservation made in September 2019. The stay was scheduled for March 2020. Due to the covid-19 the trip was canceled and Frangipiani had assured me that I would get a refund. To date, more than 2 years have passed and I have not received anything, they have stopped responding to my emails and messages. They disappeared. Other smaller and cheaper hotels refunded me immediately when the pandemic broke out. The frangipiani, on the other hand, has disappeared. Angel and Paco (I don't know if they work there anymore) wrote to me in 2021 that I would receive the refund within 30 days, but obviously it wasn't like that. I don't know if I should call a lawyer or keep writing to the hotel in hopes of their response. The problem is that in 2019 to make the reservation they asked me to pay the full amount, or more than € 2,000 so that's a lot of money.

Even before our arrival the Frangipani Team reached out to us to arrange airport transfer and also to make sure we had everything we needed for the arrival, including assistance with the air disruptions caused by the active volcano a day before our flight. And the from the very first step into our room ... “We are in paradise!” On top of the superb location where every room has a spectacular private sunset view every evening, the hotel’s staff did everything humanely possible to make our stay an unforgettable one. The level of hospitality and attention to detail supersedes by far any 5* hotel we stayed in before. Every day the rooms were cleaned twice, fresh water and towels restocked and we had a little note and cake bites welcoming us back from our adventures and recommending new places to check out. The hotel has kayaks and paddle boards available to you at no extra fee and we made use of those twice, spending a day on the water visiting other beaches and islands. The hotel’s Cala restaurant always dished up local, fresh meals and you could make use of the all-day-breakfast, which came in handy being jet lagged and just wanting to lie in. Another big must for any of my travels is a strong great coffee and oh yes, Frangipani excelled on this one, too. I loved the puristic, elegant decor with soft and earthy hues... as if the room was part of the surrounding jungle :-) Everything else, I managed to capture in images, which say more than a thousand words of mine. I can definitely say that I have never stayed in a more welcoming place before. We will definitely come back to relax, kick back and enjoy that piece of paradise, in style.

I could not imagine a better place to stay I. Palawan. Quaint, beachfront, clean, pool, amazing bar, great food and probably the best view I will ever experience in my life.
We stayed for two nights — one sea view room and on pool view room. The pool view rooms face the beach with obstructed views of the sea. I strongly recommend the sea view rooms because the pool view rooms are on the bottom level and tend to be a little “mustier” from the humidity.
The bar vibe and view was so good it seemed fake. Like something g from a poster or a fake background. I’ve traveled to 100 countries and this was my favorite view and vibe of all time. Great cocktails (Negroni, mango daiquiris, etc.) with great music.
Having the pool after a day in the sea was incredible.
Eggs Benedict for breakfast was fantastic, along with the smoothies. Dinner was consistently delicious.
Our view from the room was spectacular no matter the time of the day. My favorite view was at 4 am (jet lag!).

Hi Paulina!
We currently do not have any events yet for the New Years. Our location is about 2.5km from the main town and is on the quiet side of El Nido. We do face the main road but it's usually very quiet at night on our area.
Thank you!
Cheers!
The Frangipani El Nido Team
