Despite its prime location and unique Palawan-inspired decor that many travelers find appealing, Lagùn Hotel receives mixed reviews on value and cleanliness. While the friendly staff is often commended, inconsistent service regarding room maintenance is noted. Guests have had varying experiences with the rooms, with some finding them unclean and odorous, while others describe them as spacious and beautifully designed. The rooftop pool stands out among amenities, though some minor issues are mentioned.

We stayed here for three nights and were quite satisfied with our accommodation. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and location was great within 10min walking distance to the harbour and El Nido town, and 10min by tricycle to Coron Coron beach. Our room was very clean, modern and colorful and A/C was working fine. We had one lunch in the lobby restaurant and it was tasty, breakfast was quite okey too with limited variety though. What I liked the most was the rooftop pool that had stunning views to the limestone cliffs, got some really great photos from there! It was also very peaceful with a very few people which was great as there were very limited amount of sunbeds.

What I did not like so much was that there was no internet connection inside our room, only in the hallway. Also our floor was located in the second floor and window viewed straight to somebody's backyard. So if booking with Lagun I'd recommend to request the room from as high as possible. I also thought this hotel was a little bit pricey, but so seems to be the overall price level in El Nido.

We had a great experience at Lagun Hotel while in El Nido for 2 nights. The staff was super nice and accommodating. The room was very clean and the hotel put forth effort on many little personal touches, such as a hand written welcome note, welcome juice and cookies, etc. We utilized the pool and bar both days as well as took advantage of getting 3 couples massages while there. Loved the free breakfast which had a great variety of food and really loved the filipino breakfast special of the day. The only thing, which is not enough for me to not give them 5 stars, is that our view was that of a cement wall so we just kept the curtains closed. Hope to return soon!

Firstly this is one of the only accomodation options in El Nido that had rooms suitable to share with our kids ages 4 & 6. So we didn't have to book multiple rooms.

We booked a room with a loft for our children were able to sleep up in there which they loved. (Just be careful stairs are steep so smaller children maybe won't be suitable for).

We have stayed all over the world but the staff at Lagun ensured our 7 day stay was the best. The reception staff greeted us with cookies and welcome drinks.
Every need was attended to our entire stay and they were so helpful at giving us advice from where to book things, to how much costs could be for trikes or tours and they just helped us with our needs.

They even helped us with a last minute transport request with private driver to a beach 1 and half hours away when our other transport cancelled on us. Thanks to John our great driver.

Location is wonderful. With only a 2 minute walk into town. or a 30 second trike ride!!
Other hotels are either slightly too far out of town requiring transport or right in town with all the noise at night.

Breakfast included was handy and again the staff were so friendly to our family. There is simple food however it was all still delicious and was able to order an espresso every morning for a small fee.

You get given beach towels when needed each day to take out with you to beaches on boats & the room even came with 2 complimentary dry bags! Usually every tourist buys these in town before going on boat tours so it saved us having to spend extra money.

The roof top pool is amazing as well as being able to dine overlooking the great scenery.

For families I can't recommend this higher.

Thank you so much to all the staff who looked after our family. We will return again!

We just arrived to this hotel as part of our honeymoon.
We payed a lot of money for 3 nights and it doesn't really worth half of what we payed!
The room smells bad, you have to get out of the bathroom wet in order to take a towel and wear your clothes.
The location is not that good, their soap smells like puke and the pool is more like a small pond.
The towels looks and smells bad and I really wish I had another clean one in my suitcase.
Also - the wifi works really bad in my phone.
Save your money and go somewhere else!!

This property is less than a 10 minute walk from the city center and close to many convenience stores, restaurants as well as a supermarket. It has many steps leading up to the entrance which is on a bit of an incline and they do not have a dedicated bellhop for assistance. Early check-in is not available & housekeeping usually doesn't get to your room until late in the afternoon. You can comfortably hangout in the lobby area or the small pool area while waiting for your room or walk to the town. Wifi is available. (Note- there's only 1 washroom in the lobby area that's located in the basement & not very comfortable.)

The room has a huge bathroom with rainshower and bathtub. There's a small bar fridge, hot water kettle, tea & coffee provided. Housekeeping also brings a litre of bottled water each day. You may also purchase water at the many stores close by.

Front desk will provide you with towel cards for the pool/beach at check in.
There's a decent clothes drying rack, safe, robes & hangers. You can dry your clothes on the small balcony that also has 2 outdoor chairs if you want to sit outside, but it gets quite dusty out there.

A/C and the ceiling fan work quite well & keeps the room comfortable.

The property is located on a very busy road, so it's quite noisy.

Breakfast is included, but with a very limited selection & specialty coffees are available at an extra charge & can take time to prepare. We ate most of our meals out.. there are MANY options within a short walking distance of the hotel.
The pool bar serves food & drinks. Note- the service charge is 10% at the pool, but your bill upon checkout will say 5%. This is not clearly explained up front.

You can coordinate airport transportation at front desk, but there's no need. You can easily flag down a tricycle in front of the hotel to take you to the airport for 300PHP or 100PHP to the end of the road where the beach is by Serena St.

You can also book island tours at front desk, but it's about 100+ PHP or more compared to the individual tour operators around the downtown area.

If you need to check out quickly, it's best to settle your bill the night before because they need to physically check your room upon checkout.

Overall the hotel was just okay, but didn't provide the value & standard I expected at the rate that they were advertising and the online photos made the hotel seem much better online than it was in person.

Stayed here for 1 night before moving on (I wanted my own space after staying with friends)
Whilst staff were nice I felt like they could have been a bit more friendly.
We had a loft room which the loft area was overly warm and no fan was provided to cool the area down. The aircon wasn’t working by the 5th night.
The hotel is clean and in a good location. About 8 minutes to the main town.
For the money paid there are more value for money alternatives in better location.
Rooms clean. Breakfast had a good selection. Helpful staff. Good pool area. WiFi was intermittent.
Thanks Lagun.

We were pleased with our stay at Lagùn Hotel. We’re a family of four with two teenage kids and stayed in the loft room. The stairs to the loft are very steep so keep that in mind. Great that the hotel had a lift with all of our luggage as we were on the third floor. It’s about a 5-10 minute walk into town. You need to watch all the time as you’re walking as there are many potholes and uneven surfaces or you can get a tricycle into town for 100 pesos. Lovely views over El Nido and actually quite nice just being that little bit out, but not too far. Someone was there to collect us from the airport. The hotel organised a day trip for us which was incredible. Scenery like we’ve never seen before. Absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. Pls take something to tip the tour guides as they work so hard to make your day extra special. We also had a day trip to Nacpan Beach organised through the hotel for 4000 pesos. A driver took us in a van and stayed the day until we were ready to come back. You can hire beach lounges and umbrellas, have a delicious lunch, massage, shower, banana boat ride. We couldn’t believe we had this beautiful beach and amazing swimming with relatively not too many ppl there. The staff at the hotel kindly rushed through some last minute washing for us onsite and we were so touched how they came and waved us off as we left the hotel. Breakfast was included and was sufficient and also the round trip to the airport. I have no problems recommending the Lagùn Hotel for a stay in El Nido. The pool also was a lovely place to go and sit in the evening. Supermarket just around the corner also. Salamat to the staff at Lagùn Hotel

Great location.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Very helpful when we needed help cancelling a booking we’ve made for a tour in ElNido.
The room was pleasant and clean.
Unfortunately, the room we got didn’t have a place to hang out wet clothes/swimwear and the time we visited, their laundry service was unavailable. The breakfast didn’t have that big of an option but it makes up for the quality.
Overall all a very good experience for my wife and I. 8/10 would recommend!

We stayed there for 4 nights and 5 days. Booked 2 rooms so it was 100usd security deposit for each room. We got there from Puerto Princesa at 10pm and they greeted us with welcome drinks and welcome necklaces. We also booked our island hopping tours through the hotel as well as the Puerto Princesa - El Nido transport service. The staff were very accommodating and pleasant.

The rooms were not very spacious and there weren't any storage spaces for clothes and personal belongings, but there was a safe and a hanging rack provided. It was difficult to find a spot to hang wet clothes from the beach but we made it work. The rooms were clean and comfortable!

The breakfast buffet was different everyday and it was good every single time. The rooftop pool was also relaxing and had a nice view of the town, but the pool didn't have heated water yet so it got too cold in the evenings. The location itself was also good since it was a walkable distance from the town center. It was also less than 10 minutes away from Las Cabanas via tricycle.

Overall we had a fantastic stay in Lagun Hotel and we would definitely recommend it to people we know!

This hotel has the best location in El Nido, about 10 minutes' walk from the town centre. Close enough that you can easily access shops, tours and restaurants but far enough back that you can escape the noise when you want to wind down.

It's a nice, large, modern, hotel which is unusual for its location. Alot of accommodation I saw around El Nido Town was either run down or smaller boutique style. You can find large modern resorts but most of these are based at the other beaches, in which case you lose easy access to town. I have visited most these areas and it's not worth it. You want to stay here.

The hotel has a great roof top infinity pool with bar attached. It's a beautiful setting and we always got a sunbed when we went there. Rooms are spacious and clean.

As far as opportunities there were a couple of things. The lift smelt like wet socks. Not sure why but a bit off-putting. Also, housekeeping came late on several days (as in 3 or 4pm) which was inconvenient. Both should be easy fixes for the hotel.

Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting El Nido. Thanks again to the staff who serviced us and made it such a positive experience.
