I can't recommend Homestay Heru highly enough! Bu Heru and her family were so warm and welcoming that when we arrived late in the day from Jakarta it was like being greeted by family. The house itself is amazing with lush green gardens and a huge library and the rooms are very comfortable. The food is simply amazing and it's...

Good food, great atmosphere and good price! The homestay is located near the most universities and languageschools in Yogyakarta and therefor ideal for students. Every evening (except on sunday) a great meal is served.

The homestay surroundings have an elegant, old worldly feel about them. The hosts are very gracious, warm and fun and are full of interesting information about Yogyakarta options, history and culture. The rooms are comfortable, with desks for study/work. The homestay is well located in terms of access to range of restaurants, language schools and universities. I never tired of...

This homestay was brilliant. Extremely well kept and clean; spacious rooms with private shower. Ibu Heru and her family are extremely friendly and willing to accommodate any need. Being close to restaurants and cafes, and only a short taxi ride away from malls, shopping areas, and tourist attractions, this homestay makes the perfect place to experience the culture, and yet...

This is the best home stay I've stayed at anywhere, ever. The Herus immediately treat you like family and help you with anything and everything. A/c and private bathrooms, home cooked meals at night for less than 3 bucks, free breakfast in the morning and free laundry which gets washed and ironed every day. The Herus are a very cosmopolitan...

I initially planned to stay only one week and find a room asap to stay permanently for my 4 months stay in Jogja. But then I felt too cozy at Ibu Heru's Homestay to move on quickly and stayed for 2 weeks in the end. The house is beautiful and the rooms equipped with a bathroom, well functioning A/C and...

I stayed for 5 weeks in the Homestay Heru und I can certainly recommend it. The house is big with many plants and very homely feeling. Ibu Heru and her family are very welcoming and the house is quite, yet not too far away from the largest malls, restaurants, warungs and other places (there is a small supermarket right across...

I stayed at HH as I was enrolled in a nearby language school. I'm so glad I didn't instead spend 3 weeks by myself in a hotel. The Heru family are warm, rooms clean, food great, and a great bar (Esco) across the road. Most importantly, I made great friends from all over the world.

I was warmly welcomed back by the Heru family when I returned for my second visit to Homestay Heru. Once again the large beautiful house set in a tranquil garden was the perfect setting for stimulating dinner discussions whilst eating Bu Heru's fabulous cooking.
