We had a great stay in this Hotel, it was by far the best in our stay in Tibet. Nice rooms, nicely decorated and comfortable. Breakfast was quite good and you can have lunch or dinner with reasonable prices. Personal was very kind and I highly recommend this place for travelers in this amazing city of Lhasa.

I stayed in the Kyichu Hotel Lhasa on two different occasions in January 2017. It is typically Tibetan and full of character. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and my room was large and clean. The bed was very comfortable, underfloor heating kept the room warm and although the hot water took a little while to come through it was...

This place is in a perfect location. Walking distance to many sites. The hotel has a real Tibetan charm and seems to be filled with Tibetan antiques. Our room was nice. The heated floors sure make a difference on cold nights. We were in room 217 and it was fine. Although it was far from the front desk and the...

The Kyichu has a great location -- just a block away from Danjielin Road, the bustling street in the Tibetan Quarter leading to Barkhor Square. Happily, we also found it to be reasonably clean, well-lighted, and comfortable (with good beds and hot water in the shower). The garden is a pleasant retreat from the streets, and the lovely restaurant serves...

Stayed here with a booked tour in September 2016. Room was ground level, back wing (newer construction.) Bed was miserably bad: virtually no padding over springs. Shower sprays directly to bathroom floor with two drains but one was plugged and the other only partially draining. Water pools on floor and with the plugged drains the water is possibly contaminated by...

While things in Tibet may not be to the same level as other places in the world, this hotel is very nice. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Someone at the desk always spoke English well and were able to help as needed. We had some trouble with our shower leaking but they were able to move us to...

I lived many years in Lhasa. It has been 2 years since I stayed at the Kyichu last. but I have known the owners since it 1st opened. The rooms are very comfortable, and it is very close to the main attractions especially the Jokang Temple and the Portala Palace. Very friendly staff and shopping is nearby. The restaurant has...
