This was a useful base hotel in Tibet. On our travels we found that the Tibetan owned hotels were floundering in the light of restrictions on foreign travellers whilst they Chinese owned ones were doing better. Yes it's not the most clean in parts, the breakfast is worth avoiding and you certainly need two layers of duvets on the bed...

This hotel is awful. I know it's Tibet and I wasn't expecting 5 star but I think this hotel was built and then neglected. The carpets are all filthy - I don't think they've ever been hoovered, the breakfast room is filthy - stains on the table cloths. The corridors are very dimly lit and the receptionist was down right...

On our trip to Tibet, our agent booked us a budget hotel in Lhasa. It was my first experience with tibetan accommodation services and I found it below average, not because of its lack to provide basic amenities but because of its "high tolerance" to dirt. We were lucky to have hot water for shower, but the towels were dirty....

I stayed at this property in 3 rooms during an 8 day tour. None of my rooms were as dirty as some of the reviewers had indicated. My towels were not plush, but were neither soiled and were changed daily. The shower did leak profusely but there was plenty of hot water. The bed was hard but the linens were...

This place is dirty, very dirty. Wasn't expecting luxury, of course, but the carpet was gross, the sheets and towels damp, stained and smelly, no toiletries provided whatsoever. They provide western breakfast, although very basic, on dirty tables. On the good side the location is very central and there is free wifi in the rooms.

Hotel staff were friendly and spoke a little bit of English. The room was average. The bed, pillows and blankets were clean. The bathroom shower needed to be renovated. The water would fill up in the shower and then spill onto the floor. It would take along time for the water to drain away. All the caulking around the shower...

I spent 6 nights in this hotel while aclimitising to the altitude before the move to Everest. The bed was the worst one I slept in during my entire 40 night trip. The mattress was so old that i could trace the shape of the coils with my fingers. Me and members of my tour group were getting bruises on...

I stayed here three nights on a tour and the room was ok but small for two travelers to share. The shower had two heads, a higher one which leaked water all over the bathroom and lower one which worked fine. The mattresses are very hard with every spring able to be felt so not comfortable at all. Fortunately they...

Stayed there for 4 nights (staggered) in September 2013. The key advantage of the place is its location,at about 5 mins from johkang temple and barkhor street, but its still on the main road so it can get a bit noisy. Staff was friendly, but doesnt speak much english. Rooms were comfortable, relatively large, and the bathroom is functional (a...
