Tibet is a very special place and Lhasa is a remote and magical place, forgotten by time... Having a nice dependable place to stay is very important. The house of Shambhala is precisely that: very beautiful and colourful design, a really antique renovated house, beautiful bathroom, very nice bed, and a serious restaurant (compared to the rest in Lhasa). And the...

It's a very nicely decor Tibet style logging in the heart of the old town with a cute rooftop. Staff are very friendly. The room we booked has 2 comfy meditation chairs even. The restaurant inside serves the best cheeseballs in yogurt. Highly recommended.

This place was amazing. Few friends and I stayed here couple of nights. The hotel is a traditional tibet hotel. Rooms were spacious and loved their traditional tibet decos. The staff was excellent. Was really helpful and friendly. The location was convenient, very close to Jokhang temple.

Came upon this by accident in a small alleyway. It looks shut from the outside , but it isn't. It has a really cosy dining area, with lots of colourful cushions and a space heater. Menu items are a mix of Chinese and Nepalese with a Tibetan twist: all the choices we made were very tasty. Do read the drinks...

During my stay in Tibet I went there twice for dinner. There is a wide selection of Tibetan and other food, which I would describe as kind of fusion. I really liked the taste as the cook obviously knows what she does. Everything is made freshly so bring a bit of time. My favorite was the mountain salad which I...

Nice place, very confortable and warm room, with a very good hot shower. The Tibetan style is charming and you can see Potala Palace, sunrise and sunset from the rooftop (and even enjoy a cup of tea up there!). The hotel´s restaurant was a pleasant surprise, with excellent food, good service and fair prices (my husband and I had almost...

We really liked this hotel for its location in the Old Town and the great welcome from the guy on reception. The rooms are comfortable and are traditionally decorated. Breakfast is OK but the roof top restaurant is good.

We spent a total of five nights at this hotel, was our first choice from reading reviews on here plus our tour agency recommended it. Rooms were designed and decorated in traditional Tibetan style. Rooms were en-suite with hot water. Portable radiators were provided as it gets very cold at night across Tibet. Staff were all helpful. Free wifi in...

Highly recommend this beautiful hotel in the old section of Lhasa, close to all the sights. Great staff, amazing rooms all beautifully decorated in Tibetan style. Atmospheric and authentic. Very welcoming and homey, with great amenities. We had a fantastic time.
