Had some confusion about late night arrival a few weeks prior to my trip to Hong Kong, but the hotel was able to work it out. Upon arrival, found the staff to be friendly, though not much English spoken. As noted in the title, rooms are the tiniest I think I've ever stayed in (including hotels in Tokyo), but is... More

Bridal Tea House is located in Yau Ma Tei, where you can walk about 10 minutes after you leave the Mong Kok subway station. In other words, the hotel is near to Mong Kok public toilet. Last weekend, I stayed in this hotel with my friend. It is convenient for visitors to go shopping, because you only spend about 10... More

Room very small, there is no window in the room, air conditioner is good, WiFi is good, there is a convenient store downstairs, 3 mins walk to the subway. Clean, quiet, room very small so other than sleep, there is nothing much you can do inside the room. Recommend to those who only need a place for sleep and won't... More

Hotel is located near the Yaumatei MTR station, just 3 minutes from station on foot. Hotel room is very small, especially the bathroom. All the bathroom floor will be wet after you take the shower. Only 1 elevator for whole building, so you have to be patient for waiting the elevator. I cannot recommend this hotel unless you prefer the... More

Before you read further, just book this hotel, seriously, just for location you wont be disappointed. MTR, Yau Ma Tei, Exit C1 brings you almost to the reception desk of the hotel, less than 2 mins walking. The Staff are very capable in English, friendly and efficient. The Room, well its Hong Kong folks, and you get what you pay... More

Too Small rooms, arrogant staff mostly old and they don't know how to reply customers. Ambience is nice but of no use if you pay more but still can't get proper welcome. Our room given to us was too small that can't even accommodate one Baggage and we had to put them one on one.

We booked this hotel due to the price and were not expecting a lot from it, however we were pleasantly surprised! The room was modern (and small but all hotels in HK are like this). There was a TV and the staff were helpful. The breakfast was awful. It was easy to get to the tourist attractions on the tram.

Good location to shopping, near MTR Yau Ma Tei 5-10 min walk. It's near Ocean empire congee, Yee Shun milk companies. Quite small like other hotel room in HK. Hot-cold shower, But when you sit at the flush toilet, your knee will reach the sliding door shower screen. The hotel provided things like glycerin soap, comb, toothbrush, shave, slipper, peach... Though the room is tiny, it's worth every cent. It's clean, well-equipped and comfy. Perfect for anyone who wishes to save and yet stay at a decent hotel. The minute you step outside, there are numerous food places. Strategically located near the MRT Station, Jade Market and shopping malls.

Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighbourhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamourous or busy as its neighbours Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighbourhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighbourhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
