I stayed one night at the Metropark in Wan Chai and will happily return there. Upon arrival I was upgraded to a newly refurbished Executive room. It was excellent, a suprise in a budget priced hotel in HK. A superb bathroom, a couch for relaxation, ultra modern decor. The hotel is/was undergoing refurbishment and the lobby was a makeshift set...

We stayed for a week in HK and this Hotel is perfectly located for sightseeing in the HK area with nearby access to the WanChai metro station. The staff was professional, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and the staff again were very nice and helped to make this a nice stay. At this price its hard to find...

Hotel was having some kind of renovation. Check in was prompt. There are some stairs from the reception to the lift lobby so if you're carrying your own luggage it is not very convenient but thankfully the hotel staff were very helpful and will immediately come and assist you with your luggage. My room was fairly spacious considering that hotel...

Was a nice experience the last stay in Hong Kong at the Metropark Wanchai. Really well located close to the metro and to the convention centre. Very clean. The staff is always polite, helpful and well prepared. Was really a nice surprise, specially for an italian, to find an Italian manager like Miss Gherardi always very careful and concentrated on...

I've stayed at Metropark Wanchai quite a lot over the last few years & it's always been a good quality hotel at a budget price -as everyone knows hotels here can be very expensive and offer little more for business travellers in real terms. Well proportioned rooms have always been clean and well maintained, internet connections are problem-free, service has...

A very mixed bad of reviews for this hotel. Metropark Hotel ( MH ) was pre booked for me through work. They are currently renovating the reception area which is making the place look somewhat untidy. But hey...things have to be done. Reception was slow on arrival and departure. ,,,but then I do have to say there were a lot...

I was travelling with a friend and had stayed in another hotel in Hong Kong prior to coming to the Metropark. I spent three nights here and noted the following pros and cons: Pros - Great location: close to the MTR, tons of food and convenience stores nearby - Rooms are spacious by Hong Kong standards: my friend and I...

Last time I reviewed this hotel I was generally praiseworthy other than no WIFI in the rooms. I'm glad to say this has been sorted out. It remains an ideal location if you want to be in Wanchai. What has not been sorted out is staff ignoring the DND sign. I've had staff blow through the DND signs in hotels...

Dear Tripadvisor member – BillM 1964 Many thanks for your stay with us and the good words about hotel location and Wifi connection. With visitors in town, and my HK apartment too small, I decided to check a couple of friends into this hotel... what a mistake. Unless you're a 50 something male with an infatuation for petite Asian women, please stay elsewhere. I chose this hotel for the location, which is convenient, but generally the hotel felt a bit dirty. I would...

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
