Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nice hotel. Good location. Small but well equiped room with good wifi, water pressure and aircon. Chic design that the price is extremely worth than staying nearby hostel in old building! Hotel Lobby and lift lobby is separated. Good for me to bring guests without front desk notice.

Cheap price for a cheap room. Out get what you paid for. All in all it was an okay stay to just sleep at night. We were out in the city the entire day for 3 days. They need to improve their facility and service.

Location is excellent, the staff is really friendly and helpful. It was a little bit difficult to find at the first time, though. Look for Chang Sha street, that will help. The area is not considered one of Hong Kong's most quiet place, so don't expect a completely quiet environment

I should have checked the photos and review more carefully. Also note that earlier reviews probably refer to the pre "renovation" room format. If you want a bed, and that's all - it's fine - provided you don't want to open your suit case... it will occupy all the floor space. There is no desk (no chair), no fridge and no windows on the standard rooms. I'm not quite sure how to use the shower yet - there is no shower room, the shower will spray all over the toilet and hand basin.

The location was the main selling point for us, along with a good central location, near two different MTR stations. The hotel is being renovated, so the elevator was in the middle of having the interior completely redone. Beyond that the renovations didn't affect us because our room and that hall (14th floor) was already finished, and we heard no construction noise. The room was tiny; that's normal enough in Hong Kong. We kept considering how someone of above average size could even fit in the bathroom to shower since it was a lot putting a shower head in an airplane bathroom, so that you had to stand right at the toilet during showering, essentially over it. It didn't change all that much for me but I could imagine some visitors being put off by it. The blinds in the room were cool, to cite one positive aspect; they could be opened in different ways to be completely open, to screen some light and any view in, or to completely shutoff all exterior light entry. Beyond that it was just a very clean, modern, small place to stay. Value was good; the cost was moderate for Hong Kong. There are a lot of places to eat along the road parallel to the main street that this is on.

I had a MISERABLE experience in my stay in MK hotel during my holiday in Hong Kong on April . MK Hotel is under renovation, floor by floor. I guess it will take another 6-9 months more to complete the whole block renovation. From 9 am to 6pm, the renovation worker was hacking the wall and floor, screw the cabinet etc.. This is very annoying and noisy . I booked the room which call Executive room , the biggest room of hotel but the worker is hacking at 1201, just 1 floor above my room therfor my mother could not stand the noise from ceiling , ended up I had to stay in smaller room 3m by 3m for 3 person, asked to refund the different of room 's rate and got answer " not their fault just because owner wants to do it !!! " OMG. I would advise don't stay in this hotel until they complete the renovation. 6-9 months more at least. The bad smell in the toilet is coming from the sewerage area. Staff are unfriendly and very rude . By in all would not stay here again or recommend.

Easily accessible by taking the MTR to either Mong Kok or Yaumatei station. This hotel allows visitors to walk around the many interesting places of Mong Kok and see the various kaleidoscope of Hong Kong lifestyle. Receptionist is very friendly & knowledgeable about happening around the hotel. Rooms are clean but very small... prices cheap cheap! Toilet water pressure strong, CTV, hairdryer & kettle provided. No complaint.

Disgusting,,,! Trip adviser asks me to write at least 200 characters to submit. The photos say it all. Check in staff was a nice pleasant girl. The lift had signs that said many floors were undergoing renovations. This is obviously not one of the renovated floors. Filthy dirty, no excuse for lack of hygiene and basic cleaning. Old does not have to mean dirty. Avoid at all costs!!!!!!!!!!!!!
