i have stayed at JPlus for more than 6 years by now. the service is forever top notch. It is great to see same staff working at this hotel after so many years. it means something is special about this place. and they still provide the best and same quality of service. Just this trip, the porter went all the...

The J-Plus Hotel is located less than a five minute walk from the Causeway Bay MTR station in an area with lots of shops and restaurants. The room is a bit small -- most hotels in HK are -- but the open plan, complete with a little couch and table, gives it a roomier feel. Rooms are modern, bright and...

Hotels in Hong Kong can be very expensive and considering the location and assistance/warmth of the staff, I would say the experience was good for the price given A few things I would mention though 1) the facilities are really starting to look tired eg bad painting touch ups, carpet needing a clean, thicker towels required 2) we had to...

This is the second time I have stayed at J Plus Hotel. I chose to stay here again because I really enjoyed the extra space in the room, the location and the friendly service. Upon arrival, I was delighted to receive an upgrade to a suite on the 12th floor which I thought might be a bit noisy from the...

To start with, I did not notice the extra service charge that was added on top of the advertise fee, headline charge is 12.5 percent lower. Just to give you a price comparison, I could have stayed at a up scale hotel Langham in Kowloon. I hated the neighbourhood, yes it is shopping area, but noisy, dirty and crowded. The...

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights and had a wonderful stay. The location in Causeway Bay was so convenient, close to many restaurants, MTR station and shopping. The room was spacious and facilities very clean. The continental breakfast included a good selection of pastries, cereal, and fruit. What stood out for us was the service. All the...

Pros: good location in causeway bay by all the shopping and the subway, clean, friendly staff, provide a local cellphone which helps as an out-of-country visitor, accommodations are nice, breakfast and happy hour drinks are available to guests for free. Cons: rooms a bit small and our local cellphone didn't work for a half day when we first arrived.

Stayed for a week over New Years 2016/2017. Room was bigger than expected, very clean with modern amenities. Bed very comfortable. Quirky but cool decor. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good options for breakfast, more than just basic continental (cereal, various breads, pastries, fresh fruit, yoghurt, salami and cheese etc). Central location close to trams, buses, MTR, free airport shuttle...

We stayed here for 7 nights during Christmas holiday. Loved the location which is in the heart of Causeway Bay, less than 5 minutes walk to the nearest MTR. Our suite was spacious and fully equipped. They even provide a small heater which helps during winter. Continental breakfast is adequate, good fruit selection and a little of meat to accompany...

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
