Hotel was resonably priced compared to HK standards and clean & tidy - We booked a standard room which was suitable for those not planning on spending a lot of time in the room as the bed was rock hard & shower was tiny. On check in we did get hassled (more than once) about upgrading (for an extra cost)...

Dear CJ, It’s great to know that you found our hotel reasonably priced with well-appointed guestrooms. While all our mattress is imported from high quality brand Simmons with complimentary 11-choice pillow menu to ensure a good rest at night, we hope you had contact our 24-hour on duty guest services team for extra topper if a puffier bed was preferred....

I stayed there from 1/14/13 to 1/25/13 with my wife. The hotel is very clean, staff are polite and helpful. They had provided very helpful free transit bus to different destinations. My wife birthday is on 1/23 and hotel sent her a bottle of red wine. This is very sweet and thoughtful. I had recommended to my family and different...

My priority for my HK weekend was not about the accommodation - I was there with my 9 year old daughter to visit with friends and do some shopping. There was no need for me to spend a lot of $$$ on a flashy hotel as our time there was limited. The Cosmopolitan was the perfect choice. We had a...

Hotel rooms in Hong Kong are notoriously expensive and small. This place suffers a bit on location (nearest MTR station is a 15 minute walk away), but makes up for it on service and price: on hotels.com we found a rate at least 30% cheaper than the big brand name properties nearer to Central, and it's still in Wan Chai...

I stayed here for two nights and had a room on a high floor overlooking the cemetery, which was fine. The room was clean and well-appointed, with tea-making equipment. Breakfast was OK, but a lot of the food was not as hot as it should have been. Dinner, on the other hand, was quite an experience: I was with a...

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is a little further out for restaurants though only 10- 15 minutes walk to WanChai central.Staff excellent and restaurant for breakfast very good. Our only complaint was that our room had no view of anything as the windows were frosted. We couldn't see out.We understand that there is a Muslim cemetery and that is...

This was the second time I stayed at this hotel. On my previous stay, I had an up-grade to a larger room. This time my room was "normal". It was ample enough although I found the bathroom to be quite small, particularly the shower. I'm a "big" man and I barely fitted in there! Other than that, the hotel was...

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
