We stayed here overnight, on route back to Australia after a European trip. The bed was comfortable and the room (although small with very low ceilings) was generally well equipped. There is a certain aging charm to the hotel. The staff were quite informative when asked questions and the doorman was most helpful. For the price we paid, the hotel... More

I've been to HK many times and usually have trouble looking for a decent hotel for a decent price because I'm usually on a budget. HK hotels are known to be expensive and small and that isn't a secret. Evergreen Hotel is a place I've stayed at many times and now my go to place. The price ranges around $55usd... More

The hotel is in a reasonable part of Kowloon, near Jordan MTR station and well within reach of transport links. The room was small which I believe is typical of Hong Kong but it was clean and tidy with a TV and air conditioning. The breakfast was acceptable (typically Asian but they also serve Western food) and there are plenty... More

For the price this hotel was adequate and the staff friendly. The breakfast is your typical Asian style with cornflakes, toast & toppings and coffee included. It's not flash but quite sufficient. Our first room was very small with a double bed pressed up against the wall so we asked for a bigger room which they obliged. However, we didn't... More

Visited Hong Kong during end September 2016 for 3 nights. Location considered good. Just 5 mins walk from Jordan MTR (Exit A). Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighbourhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamourous or busy as its neighbours Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighbourhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighbourhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
