Just a few minute walk from an MTR made Yesinn convenient. My friend and I stayed in a 9 bed dorm. Yes, it was a little loud and a little humid. But that's Hong Kong. Our room had one attached full bathroom which was nearly always clean and stocked. Each bed had two outlets and a curtain for privacy. I...

This hostel was great! The staff was very friendly, the dorms and bathrooms/showers were clean and the common area was very inviting. I stayed here for two nights with a friend before heading to Vietnam. I was pleasantly surprised at my overall experience. If you're looking for a hostel in a great location while visiting Hong Kong, I recommend this...

I stayed here for 4 nights. The location really can't be beat. It is super close to the MTR station so you can access the city very easily. Some of the staff were friendly and helpful (The girl from India was a sweetheart), while others less so. I accidentally locked my key card in my locker one day, which was...

My friend and I stayed here last December 2016 for just one night. It was very cheap for a 9 dormitory all girls room. They also have a locker inside the room provided your own key to keep your belongings. For just a place to sleep in the room was clean and comfy enough. The staff are also friendly. I...

Catch the A11 double decker bus to get there: when you exit the airport, follow the signs to where the buses are located to find the A11 bus stop. You'll need to buy a 40HKG ticket from the office first which isn't far from the bus stop. A direct bus, it only takes 45-50 mins to get there. When you...

I stayed in the 21 bed dorm for 4 nights. The facilities are ok, outlets on every bed as well as a curtain. However there are only 2 toilets/showers for the whole room so it can get very busy in the morning. The reception area is nothing great, no one seemed to interact when I was there. The rooftop is...

This hostel is easily accessible form the MTR. I really enjoyed the lounge area of this hostel which has a kitchen to cook food, couches to relax, great wifi, and computers to search out things to do in Hong Kong. The staff is friendly and seems to enjoy helping travelers find things to do and how to get there. The...

I was in a mixed 21 person dorm and it was clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff were also helpful when you needed them and it was a great price to pay to stay in the heart of causeway bay! You also had curtains across your bed which was nice to have a little privacy.

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
