This hotel provides basic accommodations in a good location. The front desk staff tend to be efficient but not friendly. The custodial crew do their best to keep the rooms nice for guests in a building overdue for renovation. If you are going to spend nearly all of your time going out in Hong Kong, then this hotel can work...

Not luxurious, but very comfortable and well run hotel within easy walking distance of public transportation to get to any tourist sights and shopping. The local neighbourhood is safe, lively and interesting, with great eateries nearby (walking distance) with a variety of international or local menus. The room rate for a stay in early March was very affordable, and included...

A second time at The Emperor, this time with family, for a 2 night stay in HK. Being close enough to jump in a cab to Central yet a location of outside the hustle and bustle of the city makes this a handy place to stay. Happy Valley park a stone's throw away alongside some excellent bars, cafes and restaurants.

The price is fair and shuttles ready every 45 minutes to Times Square/Causeway Bay MTR and IFC Mall/Central MTR. The restaurant is Michelin starred, even the menu is not much but they are ok for energizing your day.

As my church is near to this hotel, we sometimes go to this place for lunch after service, as it seems that their Chinese restaurant on the 1/F is always fully booked. Their coffee shop is small, but you can choose either a-la-carte menu, or set menu. Some of us picked the Malay beef, which was not really that spicy....
