We stayed here for three nights over the new year period and we had a fantastic time. The staff were very friendly and should we come back to hong kong this is our first booking. Close to the star ferry and all public transport. Super...More
Amazing location, great service, very comfortable, big rooms. Go for one with a harbour view, quite spectacular. 4-5 star at only 2-3 star prices! Make sure to book as early as possible, this place is barely a secret.
The Salisbury is a great budget hotel. The rooms are relatively spartan, but they are clean and more than adequate. The biggest draw is the hotel's location right in the heart of Kowloon and Tsim Sha Tsui. The hotel is just a few minutes walk...More
You might be right among 5 star hotels but that's about as far as the luxury goes, the reception look much smarter than the very dated rooms and ours was also grubby looking.

So right from the start, it is hard to find good cheap accommodation in Hong Kong, so this place is a gem. It is right next to the luxurious Peninsula Hotel but without the fancy price tag. We caught the Airport Express Train to Kowloon...More
Tsim Sha Tsui is one of the major tourist and shopping areas of Hong Kong. With a high concentration of hotels, retail shops and commercial offices – it’s a busy and bustling neighbourhood that never sleeps. On the surface, Tsim Sha Tsui seems to only feature an abundant number of high-end retail stores selling designer brands and jewelry, owing to its popularity with high-budget shopping tours. However, it also
contains a diverse range of attractions for the entire family. Whether taking a walk in Kowloon Park, exploring museums, going shopping or grabbing a bite to eat – Tsim Sha Tsui has something for everyone.

The hotel actually comes in two parts with the front been a real hotel in the sense it trades like any hotel while the rear section I believe is like a YMCA. They both have the same entry and restaurant on the ground floor.
However the only reason I always stay here is because of the high standard and the fact I can get a harbourview at a very reasonable price for Hong Kong. I believe you could not go wrong staying here. You should contact the hotel directly to ask if there is a discount. I never have because I am not a member of YMCA
