We stayed 4 nights in Hongkong on our way around the globe. Hongkong is expensive but often a must as it is a hub to get flights to anywhere. This hotel is situated on the island just across Kowloon that now a days is more fashionable. The surroundings of Luk Kwok hotel are not nice now as there is a...

Stayed there for four nights. Nice and clean rooms, good breakfast with friendly staff and good location. The bar in the reception is not to great and overpriced, better bars just around the corner. Good value for money on rates.

Got what I was expecting, was received very well at the reception. I used the concierge service and again there I was well served. I appreciated the 2 free drinks gifts. This hotel is very well situated if you want to be in Wanchai, I recommend.

We have travelled the world staying at 5 star hotels and the reception and hospitality we received at this hotel was certainly on a par with many of them. Good location close to many excellent eateries and easy to get around Hong Kong , the staff were very friendly and the room was very clean and well appointed. We will...

I stayed in this hotel for pure convenience, very close to MTR, many restaurants and bars in the area. This hotel needs a BIG face lift. The price is a bit higher than other hotels in the area and the quality for what you paid in here is bad, my bathroom shower head was rusted, the bathtub took forever to...

Whilst I can't actively complain, I can't say much enthusiastically about this hotel. Basic room. Decent location. Too expensive for not much. Bathroom was very basic with shower curtain and dated fixtures. For only a little more I could have chosen the Mira Moon, where I have stayed before and would go to again. Only one plug in the room...

I can assure "Ham M" that I am not a moron and have stayed in hotels across the world and I know a good hotel when I stay in one and this hotel is very good, Very comfortable, excellent service with good restaurant facilities. Maybe not ideal for tourists as it is in the business district but access to transport...

This is an old style hotel that's pretty tired. A makeover of the lobby to a four star std looks promising. But as soon as you reach beyond the lobby it's all downhill to 3 or 2 stars from there. Good Points. Location in Wanchai is handy for just about any activity on the island. Great if you want bars....

I stayed in this hotel for 4 days recently. This is a heritage hotel which has been refurbished. The rooms are good, so is the food. The staff is very helpful. They would help you out with touristic places, tips to go around and other essentials. The room rates are fine. I would recommend this place as most of the...

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
