The Grand Hyatt knows what it means to provide quality service, and the staff in the reception, concierge, room service, and steakhouse didn't miss an opportunity to show us their hospitality. Check in was smooth and gracious. Room service people were always courteous and timely in their response to our needs. The room service food arrived hot and fresh and...

A truly wonderful stay. We used a diamond member suite upgrade, and the view overlooking Victoria Harbour and the skyline was worth every penny. Breakfast buffet was also absolutely worth it. A made to order omelet and noodle bar, various dim sum, Indian cuisine, and of course, the traditional Western breakfast with bacon, eggs, sausage and pastries. The lounge's happy...

Dear travelcal033, Thank you very much for your valuable feedback. We are delighted to read that you enjoyed the Victoria Harbour view and the skyline, the breakfast and the Grand Club. Sorry to hear that you could not see much about the Symphony of Light and thank you for your kind understanding construction outside the hotel. The “HandyPhone” we have...

Excellent hotel and comfortable room for business use. Next to the convention centre but needed to take a taxi to get to Central IFC. A bit of a walk (10mins or more) from the MTR Wan Chai station. Mostly expensive hotel restaurants nearby but Causeway Bay offers more affordable options. Was being renovated at the time but as I was...

Dear jttl16, Greetings. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We appreciate your understanding regarding the guestrooms renovation. We have restricted the noisy work between 9:00am and 5:00pm on weekdays and only allow intermittent noise on weekends and public holidays. Thank you again for choosing to stay with Grand Hyatt Hong Kong. We look forward to welcoming...

Excellent service and location. Love the harbour view especially at night. Love that the hotel provided guests with a smartphone (with data, 4G) so that you can easily navigate your way to the good eateries around the area.

Grand Hyatt has proved itself to be a true welcoming and satisfactory hotel to its guests. All the staff are very helpful. Thumbs up to concierge desk who willingly helped me to contact local bus operator when my son lost his backpack in the bus. Hotel decoration and interior is of high class quality. Am a regular guest at this hotel for business and now that the vast majority of the rooms have been renovated, there are few better hotels in Hong Kong. Stayed two nights at Grand Hyatt in Oct 2015. If you are in HK for a shopping trip, then the location may not be so ideal as the nearest MTR station is a good 15 to 20 mins walk away. There are no shopping malls around its vicinity as well. The room was quite spacious and has a nice view...

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
