Our stay at the Prince Hotel was somewhat accidental. We had originally booked a pair of executive level suites at the Gateway Hotel (which is a sister hotel of the Prince Hotel) but due to a booking snafu on the part of Marco Polo Hotel chain which owns both places, they offered us a pair of similar suites in the Prince Hotel which recently reopened after an extensive renovation.

We were very glad that the switch was made. We had two spacious Continental Club suites on the 16th floor with fairly nice views of the waterfront. The lounge area was immaculate and always stocked with drinks and snacks during the afternoon and evening hours. We had an included breakfast at the Savvy Restaurant where there plenty of Asian and Western breakfast choices. The staff on the Continental Club knew us by name and went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was comfortable.

The rooms we had a separate living area. Beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were quite large with separate shower area and tub area.

It was nice that the hotel was directly connected to the large Harbour City complex with plenty of shopping and food options. The hotel is situated in a nice area with plenty of things to see and good connections to the MTR.

We would definitely stay here again. From the front desk to the concierge, the restaurant staff, housekeeping and the crew at the Continental Club desk, everyone was so nice and caring. The room prices were also very competitive and affordable compared to other similar options we had looked at.

I stayed at the Marco Polo Hong Kong, Gateway and Prince Hotels in Hong Kong many times during the 2000s and always had good experiences on my stays. In September 2022, I again stayed at the Prince Hotel for 3 nights and found that Prince Hotel continues to be a top-quality hotel that I would repeat staying and recommend. The location of these 3 hotels, right in the Harbor City Mall, a short ferry ride to Central and close to other shops and restaurants, and a short walk to the MTR are all pluses. I booked a Continental Deluxe King room. It has been my impression that the size of the rooms in these 3 Marco Polo hotels are generally larger than the newer hotels in Hong Kong. To my delight this room has a partial harbor view and was on a higher floor. The room appears to have been recently renovated and things are still fresh and clean. The bed was just the right firmness for me, the table was good for working and eating, the chairs were comfortable, the tv has HDMI cable attached, and the couch was also comfortable. It was a very pleasant quarantine experience for one person. I would recommend anyone to consider Price Hotel for their stay in Hong Kong.

Our family wants to sincerely thank the staff at Prince Hotel for allowing us to have a wonderful quarantine stay. Thank you for supplying the suite for us and our young children and for delivering extra supplies as we needed them. The hotel was beautiful and clean and we loved staying there so much. A special thank you to Joe who helped us transport our luggage this morning and was so cheerful and kind. We hope future guests will enjoy Prince Hotel as much as we did. Thank you again!

PROS: newly remodeled and clean, comfortable beds, spacious rooms (our family was upgraded free of charge to the suite and it was bigger than our HK flat), prompt delivery, prompt response on whatsapp chat, ample storage to hideaway luggage, nespresso machine with 6 free pods (you can bring your own additional or purchase more for a fee), great location for outside food delivery.

CONS: although the food was WAY better than our last quarantine hotel and Prince DID give lots of veggies, it was still quarantine food and they only had a Chinese food menu. So for westerners, you may want to supplement meals with food delivery. And bring soy sauce...lots of steamed rice with no sauces.

Great staff and good location but we felt that the hotel room was dated and so was the restaurant. A bit like being stuck in the 80's...
We were offered an upgrade for and extra HK$220 per night for a larger bed, a higher floor and a harbour view. Yes the bed was larger, we were on the 15th floor rather than the 5th or 6th we were originally allocated but the harbour view was more a view on the Macau Ferry terminal than a harbour view.... I complained so we were not charged for the upgrade.

I chose this hotel while on a couples New Year gateway and was disappointed by the experience.

We too had problems with Prince Hotel Reservations. After booking the hotel recently, we wanted a little more information that the website did not provide. Many calls were made, and no one answered the phones. Some emails were sent with no replies. We are worried about what our stay will be like if this is an indication of the service level of the renovated Prince Hotel. Maybe some of the money spent on updating the rooms could have been used to hire more staff to answer phones.

Do not stay at this hotel if you value good customer service.

Our quarantine has been such an easy and breezy stay. Thank you to the team at Prince Hotel during the late night arrival on Saturday who assisted my check in and explained all the details requirements during Q stay professionally. My luggages were whisked away immediately by the staff to our room without delay.
The harbour view room is very clean, spacious and well appointed. The deco and furniture made the whole ambience warmth and relaxing.
The meals we received were so delicious and yummy. Kudos to the culinary team. We are also spoiled by selection of Nespresso Coffee and Tea Selection.
Requests are promptly attended by Prince Hotel team via Whatapps and items were delivered in timely manner.
Thank you Dalip and the team for making the stay enjoyable and fulfilling. Very much appreciated.

I booked the hotel on 20Jul and gave my credit card as guarantee , the fee is HKD15400. I was not charged by hotel on 20Jul, to ensure the successful booking, I paid it via the Wechat method again in the afternoon on 20Jul and got confirmation very quickly.
On 22Jul, I got the notification from my bank that my credit card was charged by hotel of amount HKD15400. I think Prince charged me twice(double fee) for same reservation ,so I actively contacted the hotel with different ways(calls and emails) for many times.
To my disappointment, I couldn't contact the reservation dept. , your reservation hotline is always very busy and occupied, I dialed many times during the last weekend and today, even sent emails, no response!
Now your public phone 852 02113 1888 could be connected but the receiver is not responsible for this kind of issue, 085 2113 3115(reservation) is never approachable. Every time I dialed , I waited at least 30 minutes but no connection.
Could someone deal with my case and return the extra charge???

Dear jashang86, Greetings from the Prince Hotel. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us during your recent stay. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you encountered with your quarantined booking being double charged. We understand that our Reservations Manager, Ms. Sarah Chan, has been in touch with you and we assure you that the charge of HK$15,400 will be refunded through your credit card facility. There has obviously been an internal misunderstanding which we apologize for. We thank you for bringing this to our attention which is invaluable in assisting us to improve our deficiencies in service delivery. The wash basin in the toilet is prone to water leakage. After brushing your toothbrush, the whole wash basin is full of water. The soundproofing in the room is very poor. The decoration is old-fashioned. It doesn't feel like a star hotel at all. The lighting is not bright. You have to walk around 360 degrees to find the entrance to the hotel lobby.

We always stay at Marco Polo hotels everytime we visit Hong Kong because of the location within Ocean Terminal/Harbor City. Many good restaurants around and shopping. Nearest MTR and ferry within a few minutes walk. Prince hotel has been renovated from the last time we visited. The room is spacious and clean as always… Good breakfast buffet at the Savvy
