Being only a five minute walk from the Star Ferry harbour , the hotel is well situated for getting around Hong Kong and Kowloon. Not too expensive and the rooms are very comfy with good standard of facilities, breakfast is good quality .

We understand that rooms may be small living in Hong Kong life style but to stay in this so call hotel may not suitable for many. I would say it best fit for very small body build size guy only. I and a friend stay luckily just for a night on Nov 2016 in Room 703 twin beds. This is...

We booked a double bedroom and found ourselves in a closet of a room with no windows with the smallest bathroom you could imagine. It was a bit claustrophobic. If you aren't of Asian sizes, I wouldn't consider this place at all. The Kingland Mansion, being an old style building (similar to Chungking Mansions), is one big square box, so...

This hotel is difficult to locate at first since there are hardly any signs. However the taxi driver still managed to locate it and dropped us quite close to the place. It is on the 7th floor of a high rise in the dense Kowloon area of Hong Kong. Its more like an apartment floor turned into a hotel. The...

I had a 12 hour layover in Hong Kong. Arriving at 8:00 pm and departing at 8:00 am. Giving the transfer back and forth the airport, I had maximum 9 hours at a hotel. So I didn’t want to spend a lot for the stay. For $45 a night, this hotel fits the bill. Location was perfect. I took the...

I booked this place basing on existing evaluation (in a rush and from my mobile phone). I have been to several guesthouses before, many in the Chungking mansion, also in Nathan Road, and never I spent more than 250 HK$ even for quite comfortable and always very clean rooms. At reception I was addressed in dialectal Chinese (not Cantonese) and...

Only stayed here one night but fantastic service all round. Modern well appointed hotel which would suit most travellers. Would happily stay here again when returning to Hong Kong. Although not located on HK island, the hotel is very well situated in the city, at least for our needs (stop over). The room was in excellent condition with most modern...

I liked that everything was booked ahead of time so when we arrived all we had to do was stay at the reception for 10 minutes and we were off to our room. We also got a free upgrade and that is always a good surprise. Food at the buffet breakfast was diverse but i hoped that they changed menu...

Staying in Mong Kok

Neighbourhood Profile
Mong Kok
It’s one of the highest density districts in the world, so come to Mong Kok prepared for action. Home to every market, restaurant and shopping arcade imaginable, Mong Kok is the one-stop shop to satisfy all your shopping needs. Dust off your finest negotiation skills and dive into the bartering frenzy. Similar retailers will conveniently congregate in the same area forming easy to remember references such as “flower street” and “sneakers street.” Here you will also find various local delicacies being served at street snack shops or hole-in-the-wall restaurants. One reliable rule of thumb: the smaller the place, the better the food.
