The rooms are very small. There is not much space to even keep your bags. When we asked to change the bed sheets it was not done, it was double bed room and after repeatedly telling them, again the house keeping only changed one bed's sheet and left the other bed sheet just the way it was as ther was...

I developed bed bug rashes. Asked housekeeping to change sheets cause I developed rashes. They claimed that they did but upon checking the sheets.. IT WAS REALLY DIRTY. It had hair from idk where! (DISGUSTING!), some dirt (some white & black stuff), & stains (on the sheet and on the pillowcase). It took them long to send housekeeping over to...

Booked via Agoda into the Vela Causeway bay again (with a request for a quiet room) but this visit, I was given a room on the 9th floor. During my 2 night stay April 17-19, we experienced adjacent rooms opening and closing with hand knocking and door bell ringing ALL NIGHT long. On check out, I was informed that a...

I would not rate this hotel as a 4-star hotel after staying there twice. The hotel could not even provide a 2nd card and the only explanation is the hotel only has a card each to each room. The hotel has to understand that every single power outlet will be cut off . We need to wait for the Handy...

Our experience at this hotel was not very nice. Staff are not friendly, except for one surnamed Lee. Location is ok, though there are not much choicss of restaurants around the hotel. The Derby Bar next to the hotel serves good food and friendlier staff than the ones at this hotel. Customer Service and their facilities really need a lot...

went here with my family last december 2016. it is clean. the bus stop is just in front of the hotel. the city view is great. however, i hope they have bidet in their toilet. the hotel's surrounding area has lots of light shops and if you walk one or two streets away there are many restaurants and cafe.

Have to admit that I have ignored bad reviews and decided to book anyway as it was the cheapest option....well - lesson learned. On the arrival which was after checking time, I was told that room was not ready and staff couldn't answer my question on how long I will have to wait. I had to ask few more times...

I visited here for one night with my 3 children and my daughters boyfriend At check in I found the staff unfriendly and not informative. It was our first trip to HONG KONG so we needed lots of information which wasn't forthcoming The room however was very nice and comfortable. Modern facilities and free use of a smart phone with...

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
