Earlier I saw ESHOP with food + accommodation package. I've stayed here once before and it felt good, so I booked again. Ms. Gao from the reservation department deserves praise for patiently answering my questions.
When you see the staff when you come in and out of the hotel, they will take the initiative to say hello and are very polite.
The food style and taste of the buffet dinner were acceptable, but I found flies lingering around the dessert area, so I have to pay attention to the hygiene.
I knew that there would be long queues during summer vacation, so I checked in early at around 11 a.m., hoping to avoid the peak crowd at 3 o'clock. However, the staff told me that if I checked in early, I would not be able to get a room until 3 o'clock. It would be great if I could get the room earlier or if the room is READY so that I can be notified to pick up the room. I hope the room arrangement can be more flexible next time.
It would be perfect if we can have food + accommodation at PACAKGE later and some parent-child activities. I will definitely support the hotel again and hope I can witness the hotel's progress.

It took about 7 minutes on foot from Sung Huang Tai Station on the MTR Tuen Ma Line. The room was a little old and spacious with a bathtub, but the wifi was weak and barely connected. All the hotel's outlets were the Hong Kong-style large 3-hole jacks. There was only USB, no Type C, so I thought the internet connection might be weak. The staff were very kind and helpful. The price was also quite cheap, and it's close to Kowloon Walled City Park and Qide Ferry Pier Park, so it's convenient for those sightseeing in the area.

Stayed here for a 3 days staycation before my birthday and was given an upgrade to a deluxe room! Though the lobby was a bit crowded during our check in the process was smooth and fast! Surprised by the shear number of guests in spite on the pandemic. The 8 Parallel is fully booked for the whole week from lunch until dinner buffet so we’re not able to experience their foods. The deluxe room was spacious with a sofa but with just twin bed joint together isn’t comfortable at all! The hotel location was a bit far from the Kowloon City Ferry Terminal but the bus stop was just outside the hotel. Tried their Pool Bar on the 2nd floor with a very quiet place due to the typhoon signal number 3 and the swimming pool were closed due to bad weather. Overall, we were satisfied with our short staycation. Down side, there’s no nearby attraction around so don’t expect any exciting places to see.

Avoid Harbour Plaza 8 Degrees: A Disappointing Stay in Every Aspect
Staying at Harbour Plaza 8 Degrees was one of the worst hospitality experiences I’ve encountered. Here’s why:
1. Shady and Unsafe Location: The hotel is tucked away in a dark, unpleasant area surrounded by car repair shops, dustbins, and an overall unsafe atmosphere. Not a place you'd want to walk around, especially after sunset.
2. Inconvenient Accessibility: There’s no shopping area or basic amenities nearby. For anything, you need to walk over a kilometer to the nearest metro station and then travel at least three stops. The location is at the farthest end of Kowloon, which means heavy transportation costs—public transport in Hong Kong isn’t cheap, and taxis are exorbitant.
3. No Basic Amenities: The hotel doesn’t provide bottled water or essential toiletries, citing vague “government guidelines” which they conveniently fail to display. We cross-checked with other hotels, and they did provide these basics, so clearly, this excuse doesn’t hold water—literally.
4. Nonexistent Concierge Service: The concierge desk might as well not exist. We couldn’t get a taxi arranged for the airport or Disneyland, leaving us to fend for ourselves.
5. Unwelcoming Staff: The staff was indifferent, rude, and outright unhelpful. Despite booking months in advance and requesting adjoining rooms, we were assigned rooms seven floors apart. Clearly, they don’t care about guest preferences or comfort.
6. No Lobby Seating: The hotel lobby doesn’t even have a basic seating area. Waiting for anything becomes a frustrating ordeal.
7. Limited Dining Options: While they do offer basic Indian food, the kitchen closes early, leaving you stranded if you need a late meal.
8. Terrible Value for Money: Everything about this hotel screams cost-cutting. From the lack of amenities to the poor service, it’s a stark contrast to the premium pricing.
Verdict: Harbour Plaza 8 Degrees is a disaster in terms of location, service, and amenities. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, avoid this hotel at all costs. There are far better options in Hong Kong, even in the budget segment.

Because this hotel was recommended by a friend, I took my children to stay at this hotel during the summer vacation. As soon as I entered the hotel lobby, I felt that the decoration was very special. The waiters were kind and polite, especially Director Chen - Kenneth. After checking in, I saw He knew we were on vacation when we had children. He immediately introduced the opening hours and locations of the hotel's swimming pool, restaurant and fitness room, and took the trouble to answer questions about nearby facilities and transportation routes. It was very considerate and I was very grateful. The room is fully equipped and tidy, and the housekeepers are friendly. The children were attracted by the swimming pool and had a great time. Although the fitness room is not very big, it has basic facilities, which is enough for my husband. In the evening, we had a buffet dinner in the underground restaurant. There were many kinds of food and the prices were reasonable, so I took this opportunity to try it. It was really good. We also took a trip to Kowloon City for a walk, which was very convenient. Next time I have a short vacation, I will bring my family to visit again.

The location of the hotel is quite good, close to 7 Eleven and some local restaurants at walking distance.
The service level was mixed, with some departments performing well while the others being a chaos, like the front office. It got really crowded at times and had to queue up for 10+ minutes just for them to answer simple queries (they rarely picked up the phone after the operator transferred to them).
Expect for that, the rooms are nice and tidy with great food at the restaurant. Banny from sales was supportive and quick with reservations. I had breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner at the restaurant and was happy to see that most of the restaurant staff recognised me after my first visit. Perry was especially sweet and talkative throughout the meal, making us feel at ease and brining us whatever we needed even before we asked.
Overall would definitely recommend the hotel. Extremely good value for money in Hong Kong but do try to check in at non peak times.

Travelled with my wheel chairbound mother , an infant and wife. The staff throughout was helpful in giving all the ne essary support from the trivial but critical stuff like helping to open the door for a longer time for lifts or pressing the doors, always lending help to press the wheelchair or the stroller when we get stuck up with additonal luggages. Ken was extremely helpful , breakfast was good , we could not check the pool or gym but overall it was the stuff who really went out of their way to make us comfortable

We only prepared to stay in the hotel for one month to clear up our house stuff, however, we turned out to stay here for four months. Frankly speaking, there is a defect the management should amend, that is, the trolley or luggage could not smoothly roll into the hotel because of the design of the slope before the door. There were some offers for first time long stay guest, but no offer for any extension of the stay!
The staff, Ande NG, who used to rush to help us to lift up our items. The conceirge staff are extremely helpful and amicable, including Cyrus, Ray, Ken, Kenny, Louis, Gordon. The front desk staff, Candy Li, who kindly entertained our late check out request and her colleagues were equally helpful. Fanny, the restaurant staff who was so considerate that she arranged us to sit near the beverage table without being asked during our second visit for breakfast. Owing to the pandemic, no buffet breakfast was provided. Consequently, the varieties was limited and not really worth the money. However. once you are in the hotel, you will feel at home. If feasible, room with pantry facilities is highly recommended for long stay.

We stayed for two nights in December 2019 prior to cruising. Service was very good, the front desk people were helpful and friendly. Our room was large, with a view of the street. Lots of TV channels and good reception. Hotel was quiet, and we had a really good sleep both nights. We bought breakfast vouchers from the front desk, which was cheaper than buying directly from the restaurant. Breakfast was good, lots of options and eggs and omelettes made to order. I think it worked out to be around AUD16 each. Good value. The best thing was the free shuttle bus that takes you to a big shopping mall Whampoa, or you can go further to a central train station Hung Hom, where you can catch a train to anywhere. The concierge will give you a timetable. A great service. Would definitely stay there again.

Stayed one night before we flew home from our cruise. Excellent price, clean, smart & helpful staff. Room good size ,18th floor, nothing wrong with it. The hotel is in a residential quarter but you are away from the tourist traps, plenty of eateries around. Shuttles to two different places a great bonus, they give you a time table for the shuttle & if I remember it runs until quite late at night.
I would recommend this hotel.

We bought return tickets for the city bus at the airport, A22, I think, check with the hotel. It was a 5 minute walk to the hotel from bus stop 12, but double check that stop number.

Hi,
The breakfast was included in our hotel price and this was part of a tour so don't know.
Check hotel website or find it on a booking site for a better price.
If you email the hotel they can provide with travel details. There is a bus that stops close to the hotel that will take you to the airport cheaply, A22 I think but we had return tickets so not sure if you can purchase on the bus. Check with the hotel.
Hi,
I only had breakfast buffet when I stayed there and they served western buffet breakfast like hash brown a bacon etc.
Sorry for the late reply. Hope this helps.
There are more places to choose from in the Hong Kong area.
