I stayed here alone with my child last week, the receptionist gave me a discount and I paid 400hkd/night for the room. Room was tiny but clean, tv had no cartoons for my child and no english channels at all, not even cnn. Bathroom was tiny but clean. There was a kettle and mini ref but fridge in my room...

Apparently all hotel rooms in Hong Kong are tiny and the Goodrich is no exception. That aside, we were happy with the hotel. It's in a great location, close to the Temple St night markets and Jordan MTR (use exit A) and there are plenty of options close by for eating and drinking.

i saw citizen there, live very patient, work hard, live in small room apartments, that's why this hotel also has very small room if you compare with the cost. No place for keeping things (No safety box), the refrigerator change to be microwave! lol. Staff just cleaning the bathroom and didn't change the pad sheets, pheeww.. overall is good, the...

The hotel is clean and unpretentious, with a reception easily accessible from the street. The receptionist was very warm, polite and helpful. No hustler, no annoying lines, none of the hassles you find at Chungking Mansions. The room, of course, was tiny, but this is Hong Kong, so this is unavoidable if you do not want to pay a fortune....

In Hong Kong, all hotel rooms are small I have a single room, it is about 60 sq ft. Very convenient location, but a little noisy too Great for Temple street shopping (beware of pick pockets) Good staff, friendly and helpful. Stayed for a week.

First impression about this hotel was the small elevator. only fit for 4 people :) The room was small, thanks God i stay by my self in a twin bed room. I hate the room because i have no window. i also have a torn towel. The Wifii and the location is good!. Near Jordan MTR, only 5 min walks....

I stayed here one night as i was just in Hong Kong overnight in transit. The evergreen was full so this place was the closest. The concierge was friendly and helpful showing me a room with a window and a room without. I decided on the single room without a window. For sleeping purposes this was more than adequate. The...

We stayed here as part of an Intrepid trip, the hotel is clean and tidy with free wifi (even in the rooms on the 10th Floor) and is great location for the surrounding night markets. Its a bit of a trek however to the star ferry and all the other visitors locations are on the other side of the harbour....

This hotel is in a great location, just minutes from Jordan metro stop, Temple St and Nathan Road. The harbour is probably about 30 minutes walk from here. The rooms are clean but small (although I had one of the larger ones), but this is Hong Kong where rooms ARE small! The wifi is fast and reliable, and available in...

this is like a capsule hotel. the room is very small. there is no window. if you are claustrophobic don't stay here. location is very convenient to night market which makes up for the small size. 2 star at best.

Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighbourhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamourous or busy as its neighbours Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighbourhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighbourhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
