We just returned from a four night stay in Hong Kong at the Renaissance Harbour View Hotel. I reserved two rooms because my wife and I have a four year old and two year old and like the ability to put them in a bed and have a quiet space through the adjoining door. We were upgraded to a Harbour...

We have stayed many times at the Renaissance Harbour View and still find it wonderful. The harbour views are stunning. The welcome is friendly, the service attentive, personal, obliging, but non-intrusive. We were particularly impressed with Woody on the front desk and Winnie in the Renaissance cafe; both of them could not have been more helpful and caring. Food int...

Came back after 17 years. I think they gave me the same room. Upgrade to a sweet. Perfect room with a spectacular view. Everything about the hotel is perfect. Great staff, executive lounge is wonderful. Missed breakfast because the automatic blinds work very well and I stayed out very late (well early...). Hope to be back again but not wait...

I stayed at renaissance twice last week, and both stays exceeded my expectations. The staffs were welcoming and professional, the location was great and the rooms were simply superb. Both stays were very consistent and it showed how well the team was capable at their works. I wish to congratulate Ronald, Sally and the team they lead, and Anna for...

What a great hotel, clean, spacious and with attentive staff who are polite without getting in your way - free sweets on reception too! Bathrooms have to be seen to be believed and the walk in shower will be sorely missed

Room small with nice view, however noise from construction site is just awful - even on the 29th floor and starts early in the am. Think of a washing machine full of nails rattling in your room. When you arrive you are told internet costs 120 HKD/day unless you sign up for their awards program. It is just ridiculous that...

We travelled to Hong Kong to celebrate a wedding a stayed for one week in this hotel. The hotel was in an excellent location, centrally situated for walking Hong Kong. It is also close to the Star Ferry. Unfortunately, when we visited, building work was being carried out in front of the hotel. Although this did not disturb us during...

I have stayed here before. This is a very good hotel with many amenities and very helpful staff. Importantly for some it is immediately adjacent and connected to the HK International Conference Centre. It is tall and has good views over the harbour.

Love the Renaissance Hong Kong. Great hotel. Great customer service. Great views of Kowloon. The Renaissance is an easy walk to the MRT so you will have cheap and easy access to wherever you want to go. Also, there are lots of great local restaurants in surrounding buildings, just ask the concierge or front desk for a list of restaurants

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
